2 Chronicles 22
1 Then the inhabitants of Jerusalem appointed his youngest son, Ahaziah, as king in his place. For the robbers of the Arabians, who had fallen upon the camp, had put to death all those who were greater by birth before him. And so Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram, reigned as king of Judah.
यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरूले यहोरामको सट्टामा तिनका कान्छा छोरा अहज्याहलाई राजा बनाए, किनकि आक्रमणमा अरबीहरूसित मिलेर आएका मानिसका झुण्डले तिनका सबै ठुला छोरालाई मारेका थिए । यसैले यहूदाका राजा यहोरामका छोरा अहज्याह राजा भए ।
2 Ahaziah was forty-two years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for one year in Jerusalem. And the name of his mother was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri.
अहज्याह ले राज्य गर्न सुरु गर्दा तिनी बाईस वर्षका थिए । तिनले यरूशलेममा एक वर्ष राज्य गरे । तिनकी आमाको नाउँ अतल्याह थियो । तिनी ओम्रीकी छोरी थिइन् ।
3 But he too went forth in the ways of the house of Ahab. For his mother impelled him to act impiously.
तिनी पनि आहाबको घरानाका चालमा हिंडे, किनकि दुष्ट कुराहरू गर्नलाई तिनकी आमा सल्लाहकार थिइन् ।
4 And so he did evil in the sight of the Lord, just as the house of Ahab did. For after the death of his father, they were counselors to him, to his destruction.
आहाबको घरानाले गरेझैं अहज्याहले परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे खराब थियो सो गरे, किनकि तिनका बुबाको मृत्युपछि तिनीहरू नै तिनको पतन गराउने सल्लाहकारहरू थिए ।
5 And he walked in their counsels. And he went with Joram, the son of Ahab, the king of Israel, to war against Hazael, the king of Syria, at Ramoth Gilead. And the Syrians wounded Joram.
तिनीहरूका सल्लाहको अनुसरण पनि तिनले गरे । तिनी इस्राएलका राजा आहाबका छोरा योरामसित मिलेर रामोत-गिलादमा अरामका राजा हजाएलको विरुद्धमा युद्ध गर्न गए । अरामीहरूले योरामलाई घाइते बनाए ।
6 And he returned, so that he might be cured at Jezreel. For he had received many wounds in the above-stated battle. And so Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram, the king of Judah, descended, so that he might visit Joram, the son of Ahab, at Jezreel, while he was ill.
रामोतमा अरामका राजा हजाएलसँग भएको युद्धमा पाएको चोटबाट निको हुन तिनी यिजरेलमा फर्केर गए । यसैले यहूदाका राजा यहोरामका छोरा अहज्याह योरामलाई हेर्न भनी यिजरेलमा गए, किनभने योराम घाइते भएका थिए ।
7 Indeed, it was the will of God against Ahaziah that he would go to Joram, and when he had gone, that he also would go out with him against Jehu, the son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab.
अहज्याहले योरामलाई भेटेको कारण परमप्रभुले अहज्याहको पतन ल्याउनुभयो । जब तिनी आइपुगेका थिए, तब तिनी योरामसँग निम्शीका छोरा येहूलाई आक्रमण गर्न गए, जसलाई परमप्रभुले आहाबको घरानालाई नाश गर्नको निम्ति रोज्नुभएको थियो ।
8 Therefore, when Jehu was overthrowing the house of Ahab, he found the leaders of Judah, with the sons of the brothers of Ahaziah, who were ministering to him, and he put them to death.
यस्तो भयो, जब येहूले आहाबको घरानामाथि परमेश्वरको न्याय पूरा गर्दै थिए, तब यहूदाका अगुवाहरू र अहज्याहका दाजुहरूका छोराहरूले अहज्याहको सेवा गरिरहेको तिनले भेट्टाए । येहूले तिनीहरूलाई मारे ।
9 Also, while he himself was seeking Ahaziah, he found him to be hiding in Samaria. And having been led to him, he killed him. And they buried him, because he was the son of Jehoshaphat, who had sought the Lord with all his heart. But there was no longer any hope that someone from the stock of Ahaziah would reign.
येहूले अहज्याहलाई खोजे । तिनीहरूले तिनलाई सामरियामा लुकिरहेको अवस्थामा समाते, तिनलाई येहूकहाँ ल्याए र तिनलाई मारे । त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले तिनलाई गाडे, किनकि तिनीहरूले भने, “यिनी आफ्नो पूरा हृदयले परमप्रभुलाई खोज्ने यहोशापातका छोरा हुन् ।” यसरी राज्यमा शासन गर्नलाई अहज्याहका घरानासँग फेरि कुनै शक्ति बाँकी रहेन ।
10 For indeed, his mother, Athaliah, seeing that her son had died, rose up and killed the entire royal stock of the house of Jehoram.
अब अहज्याहकी आमा अतल्याहले आफ्ना छोरा मरेका देखिन्, तिनी उठिन् र यहूदाका सारा राजकीय सन्तानहरूलाई मारिन् ।
11 But Jehosheba, the daughter of the king, took Joash, the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from the midst the king’s sons when they were being slain. And she hid him with his nurse in a bedroom. Now Jehosheba, the one who had hidden him, was the daughter of king Jehoram, and the wife of the high priest Jehoiada, and the sister of Ahaziah. And because of this, Athaliah did not kill him.
तर राजाकी छोरी यहोशेबाले अहज्याहका छोरा योआशलाई मारिन लागेका राजाका छोराहरूका बिचबाट सुटुक्क भगाएर लगिन् । तिनले त्यसलाई र त्यसकी धाईआमालाई एउटा सुत्ने कोठाभित्र राखिन् । यहोराम राजाकी छोरी र पुजारी यहोयादाकी पत्नी यहोशेबाले (किनकि तिनी अहज्याहकी दिदी थिइन्) योआशलाई अतल्याहको हातबाट लुकाइराखिन्, ताकि अतल्याहले त्यसलाई मार्न पाइनन् ।
12 Therefore, he was with them, hidden in the house of God, for six years, while Athaliah reigned over the land.
अतल्याहले देशमा राज्य गर्दा तिनी परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा छ वर्षसम्म तिनीहरूसँगै लुकाएर राखिए ।
