1 Timothy 2
1 And so I beg you, first of all, to make supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings for all men,
ਮਮ ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਆਦੇਸ਼ੋ(ਅ)ਯੰ, ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾਵਿਨਯਨਿਵੇਦਨਧਨ੍ਯਵਾਦਾਃ ਕਰ੍ੱਤਵ੍ਯਾਃ,
2 for kings, and for all who are in high places, so that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and chastity.
ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਮਾਨਵਾਨਾਂ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼਼ਤੋ ਵਯੰ ਯਤ੍ ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਤ੍ਵੇਨ ਨਿਰ੍ੱਵਿਰੋਧਤ੍ਵੇਨ ਚੇਸ਼੍ਚਰਭਕ੍ਤਿੰ ਵਿਨੀਤਤ੍ਵਞ੍ਚਾਚਰਨ੍ਤਃ ਕਾਲੰ ਯਾਪਯਾਮਸ੍ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਨ੍ਰੁʼਪਤੀਨਾਮ੍ ਉੱਚਪਦਸ੍ਥਾਨਾਞ੍ਚ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਤੇ ਕਰ੍ੱਤਵ੍ਯਾਃ|
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
ਯਤੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਤਾਰਕਸ੍ਯੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ ਤਦੇਵੋੱਤਮੰ ਗ੍ਰਾਹ੍ਯਞ੍ਚ ਭਵਤਿ,
4 who wants all men to be saved and to arrive at an acknowledgment of the truth.
ਸ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਮਾਨਵਾਨਾਂ ਪਰਿਤ੍ਰਾਣੰ ਸਤ੍ਯਜ੍ਞਾਨਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਿਞ੍ਚੇੱਛਤਿ|
5 For there is one God, and one mediator of God and of men, the man Christ Jesus,
ਯਤ ਏਕੋ(ਅ)ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੋ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਤੇ ਕਿਞ੍ਚੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੇ ਮਾਨਵੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਚੈਕੋ (ਅ)ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯੋ ਮਧ੍ਯਸ੍ਥਃ
6 who gave himself as a redemption for all, as a testimony in its proper time.
ਸ ਨਰਾਵਤਾਰਃ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁ ਰ੍ਵਿਦ੍ਯਤੇ ਯਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਮੁਕ੍ਤੇ ਰ੍ਮੂਲ੍ਯਮ੍ ਆਤ੍ਮਦਾਨੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍| ਏਤੇਨ ਯੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੇਨੋਪਯੁਕ੍ਤੇ ਸਮਯੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤਵ੍ਯੰ,
7 Of this testimony, I have been appointed a preacher and an Apostle, (I speak the truth, I do not lie) as a teacher of the Gentiles, in faith and in truth.
ਤਦ੍ਘੋਸ਼਼ਯਿਤਾ ਦੂਤੋ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੇ ਸਤ੍ਯਧਰ੍ੰਮੇ ਚ ਭਿੰਨਜਾਤੀਯਾਨਾਮ੍ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕਸ਼੍ਚਾਹੰ ਨ੍ਯਯੂਜ੍ਯੇ, ਏਤਦਹੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਸ੍ਯ ਨਾਮ੍ਨਾ ਯਥਾਤਥ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ ਨਾਨ੍ਰੁʼਤੰ ਕਥਯਾਮਿ|
8 Therefore, I want men to pray in every place, lifting up pure hands, without anger or dissension.
ਅਤੋ ਮਮਾਭਿਮਤਮਿਦੰ ਪੁਰੁਸ਼਼ੈਃ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਸਨ੍ਦੇਹੌ ਵਿਨਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਕਰਾਨ੍ ਉੱਤੋਲ੍ਯ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰ੍ਥਨਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਯਤਾਂ|
9 Similarly also, women should be dressed fittingly, adorning themselves with compunction and restraint, and not with plaited hair, nor gold, nor pearls, nor costly attire,
ਤਦ੍ਵਤ੍ ਨਾਰ੍ੱਯੋ(ਅ)ਪਿ ਸਲੱਜਾਃ ਸੰਯਤਮਨਸਸ਼੍ਚ ਸਤ੍ਯੋ ਯੋਗ੍ਯਮਾੱਛਾਦਨੰ ਪਰਿਦਧਤੁ ਕਿਞ੍ਚ ਕੇਸ਼ਸੰਸ੍ਕਾਰੈਃ ਕਣਕਮੁਕ੍ਤਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਮਹਾਰ੍ਘ੍ਯਪਰਿੱਛਦੈਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ਮਭੂਸ਼਼ਣੰ ਨ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਤ੍ਯਃ
10 but in a manner proper for women who are professing piety by means of good works.
ਸ੍ਵੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਭਕ੍ਤੀਨਾਂ ਯੋਸ਼਼ਿਤਾਂ ਯੋਗ੍ਯੈਃ ਸਤ੍ਯਰ੍ੰਮਭਿਃ ਸ੍ਵਭੂਸ਼਼ਣੰ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਤਾਂ|
11 Let a woman learn in silence with all subjection.
ਨਾਰੀ ਸਮ੍ਪੂਰ੍ਣਵਿਨੀਤਤ੍ਵੇਨ ਨਿਰ੍ਵਿਰੋਧੰ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਤਾਂ|
12 For I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to be in authority over a man, but to be in silence.
ਨਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਃ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਦਾਨੰ ਪੁਰੁਸ਼਼ਾਯਾਜ੍ਞਾਦਾਨੰ ਵਾਹੰ ਨਾਨੁਜਾਨਾਮਿ ਤਯਾ ਨਿਰ੍ੱਵਿਰੋਧਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ਆਚਰਿਤਵ੍ਯੰ|
13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
ਯਤਃ ਪ੍ਰਥਮਮ੍ ਆਦਮਸ੍ਤਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਹਵਾਯਾਃ ਸ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਿ ਰ੍ਬਭੂਵ|
14 And Adam was not seduced, but the woman, having been seduced, was in transgression.
ਕਿਞ੍ਚਾਦਮ੍ ਭ੍ਰਾਨ੍ਤਿਯੁਕ੍ਤੋ ਨਾਭਵਤ੍ ਯੋਸ਼਼ਿਦੇਵ ਭ੍ਰਾਨ੍ਤਿਯੁਕ੍ਤਾ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾਤ੍ਯਾਚਾਰਿਣੀ ਬਭੂਵ|
15 Yet she will be saved by bearing children, if she has continued in faith and love, and in sanctification accompanied by self-restraint.
ਤਥਾਪਿ ਨਾਰੀਗਣੋ ਯਦਿ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ੍ਨਿ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਤਾਯਾਂ ਸੰਯਤਮਨਸਿ ਚ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹ੍ਯਪਤ੍ਯਪ੍ਰਸਵਵਰ੍ਤ੍ਮਨਾ ਪਰਿਤ੍ਰਾਣੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਸ੍ਯਤਿ|
