< 1 Timothy 2 >

1 And so I beg you, first of all, to make supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings for all men,
Kulwejo anu jichali ejindi jone, enenda lisabhwa, na lilomba, no kulombela, na lisima bhikoleke kulwa abhanu bhone,
2 for kings, and for all who are in high places, so that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and chastity.
kulwa bhakama na bhone bhanu bhali ku bhutungi, koleleki chitule okwinyanja mumulembe na mufung'ame mu bhulengelesi na muchibhalo.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
Gunu ni gwa kisi na gwikilisibhwe imbele ya Nyamuanga Omukisha weswe.
4 who wants all men to be saved and to arrive at an acknowledgment of the truth.
Omwene endele abhanu bhone bhakisibhwe na bhamenye echimali.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator of God and of men, the man Christ Jesus,
Kulwo kubha aliwo Nyamuanga umwi ela, na aliwo omugwatanisha umwi ku Nyamuanga na abhanu niwe Kristo Yesu.
6 who gave himself as a redemption for all, as a testimony in its proper time.
Esosishe omwene okubha chogo ku bhona, no kubha bhubhambasi ku mwanya ogwo.
7 Of this testimony, I have been appointed a preacher and an Apostle, (I speak the truth, I do not lie) as a teacher of the Gentiles, in faith and in truth.
Ku njuno inu, anye omwene nakolelwe okubha mubhambasi wa iinjili na intumwa. Enaika echimali. Nitakwaika olulimi. Anye ndi mwiigisha wa bhanu bha maanga mu likilisha lye chimali.
8 Therefore, I want men to pray in every place, lifting up pure hands, without anger or dissension.
Ku lwejo, enenda abhalume bhuli ebhala bhasabhwe no kwimusha amabhoko gelele gatana esungu nolwo bhitimalo.
9 Similarly also, women should be dressed fittingly, adorning themselves with compunction and restraint, and not with plaited hair, nor gold, nor pearls, nor costly attire,
Kutyo kutyo, enenda abhagasi bhafwale ebhifwalo bhinu bhikilisibhwe, ebhye chibhalo no kwibhalila. Bhasiga kubha na nfwili jo kusukwa, amwi zaabu, amwi lulu, amwi ebhifwalo bhyo bhugusi bhunene.
10 but in a manner proper for women who are professing piety by means of good works.
Lindi enenda bhafwale ebhifwalo bhinu bhibheile abhagasi bhanu bhekilisishe kulwo kwelesha ebhikilwa bhye kisi.
11 Let a woman learn in silence with all subjection.
Omugasi eigile mu ntungwa jo bhufung'ame no kwikeya kwone.
12 For I do not permit a woman to teach, nor to be in authority over a man, but to be in silence.
Nitakumwikilisisha omugasi okwiigisha, amwi okubha mutungi ingulu yo mulume nawe enyanje ajibhiye.
13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
Kulwo kubha Adamu ayangilwe okwamba, nio nalubhila Eva.
14 And Adam was not seduced, but the woman, having been seduced, was in transgression.
Adamu atajigilwe, nawe omugasi ajigilwe chimwi mu bhujabhi.
15 Yet she will be saved by bearing children, if she has continued in faith and love, and in sanctification accompanied by self-restraint.
Nolwo kutyo, kakisibhwa okutula mu kwibhula abhana, labha bhakagendelela mu likilisha no kwenda no bhulengelesi no bhwengeso bhwe kisi.
