< 1 Thessalonians 3 >

1 Because of this, willing to wait no longer, it was pleasing to us to remain at Athens, alone.
Nítorí ìdí èyí, nígbà tí ara mi kò gbà á mọ́, mo pinnu láti nìkan dúró ní ìlú Ateni.
2 And we sent Timothy, our brother and a minister of God in the Gospel of Christ, to confirm you and to exhort you, on behalf of your faith,
Awa sì rán Timotiu, arákùnrin àti alábáṣiṣẹ́pọ̀ wa nínú Ọlọ́run nínú ìyìnrere Kristi, láti fi ẹsẹ yín múlẹ̀, àti láti tù yín nínú ní ti ìgbàgbọ́ yín.
3 so that no one would be disturbed during these tribulations. For you yourselves know that we have been appointed to this.
Láìsí àní àní, ẹ mọ̀ gbangba pé, irú ìṣòro báwọ̀nyí wà nínú ètò Ọlọ́run fún àwọn tí ó gbàgbọ́, kí a má ba dààmú.
4 For even while we were with you, we predicted to you that we would suffer tribulations, even as it has happened, and as you know.
Tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí a fi kìlọ̀ fún yín pé ìjìyà inúnibíni yóò dé. Ó sì rí bẹ́ẹ̀ nítòótọ́.
5 For this reason also, I was not willing to wait any longer, and I sent to find out about your faith, lest perhaps he who tempts may have tempted you, and our labor might have been in vain.
Bí mo wí tẹ́lẹ̀, nígbà tí ara mi kò gba á mọ́, mo sì ránṣẹ́ kí èmi kí ó lè mọ́ ìgbàgbọ́ yín, kí olùdánwò nì má ba à dán an yín wò lọ́nàkọnà, kí làálàá wa sì jásí asán.
6 But then, when Timothy arrived to us from you, he reported to us your faith and charity, and that you keep a good remembrance of us always, desiring to see us, just as we likewise desire to see you.
Nísinsin yìí, Timotiu ti dé pẹ̀lú ìròyìn ayọ̀ wí pé, ìgbàgbọ́ àti ìfẹ́ yín ṣì lágbára bí i ti àtẹ̀yìnwá. Inú wa dùn láti gbọ́ wí pé ẹ ṣì ń rántí ìbágbé wa láàrín yín pẹ̀lú ayọ̀. Timotiu tún fi yé wa pé bí ó ti mú wa lọ́kàn tó láti rí i yín, ni ó ṣe ẹ̀yin pàápàá.
7 As a result, we were consoled in you, brothers, in the midst of all our difficulties and tribulations, through your faith.
Nítorí náà, ẹ̀yin ará, inú wá dùn jọjọ nínú gbogbo ìyọnu àti ìjìyà wa níbí nítorí pé àwa mọ̀ nísinsin yìí pé, ẹ̀yin dúró gbọningbọnin fún Olúwa.
8 For we now live so that you may stand firm in the Lord.
Nítorí àwa yè nísinsin yìí, bí ẹ̀yin bá dúró ṣinṣin nínú Olúwa.
9 For what thanks would we be able to repay to God because of you, for all the joy with which we rejoice over you before our God?
Kò ṣe é ṣe fún wa láti dá ọpẹ́ tán lọ́wọ́ Ọlọ́run nítorí ayọ̀ àti ìfẹ́ tí ó máa ń kún ọkàn wa nípa àdúrà wa fún un yín.
10 For night and day, ever more abundantly, we are praying that we may see your face, and that we may complete those things that are lacking in your faith.
Nítorí pé àwa ń gbàdúrà fún un yín lọ̀sán-án àti lóru. Èyí yóò ràn wá lọ́wọ́ láti ṣe àtúnṣe ibi tí ìgbàgbọ́ yín bá kù sí.
11 But may God our Father himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.
À ń gbàdúrà wí pé, kí ó wu Ọlọ́run pàápàá àti Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi láti rán wa padà sí ọ̀dọ̀ yín lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí í.
12 And may the Lord multiply you, and make you abound in your charity toward one another and toward all, just as we also do toward you,
A sì béèrè pé, kí Ọlọ́run ràn yín lọ́wọ́ tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí ìfẹ́ yín yóò fi gbòòrò tí yóò sì sàn kan olúkúlùkù yín. Èyí yóò jẹ́ àpẹẹrẹ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìfẹ́ àwa náà ṣe sàn kan ẹ̀yin náà.
13 in order to confirm your hearts without blame, in sanctity, before God our Father, unto the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his saints. Amen.
Kí ó lè fi ọkàn yín balẹ̀ ní àìlábùkù nínú ìwà mímọ́ níwájú Ọlọ́run àti Baba wa. Nígbà náà, ẹ ó ní ìgboyà láti dúró níwájú rẹ̀ láìṣẹ̀, ní ọjọ́ tí Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi yóò padà wá pẹ̀lú àwọn tí ó jẹ́ tirẹ̀.
