1 Kings 16
1 Then the word of the Lord came to Jehu, the son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying:
௧பாஷாவுக்கு எதிராகக் யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை அனானியின் மகனாகிய யெகூவுக்கு உண்டானது, அவர்:
2 “Even though I exalted you from the dust, and I set you as ruler over my people Israel, still you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and you have caused my people Israel to sin, so that you have provoked me by their sins.
௨நான் உன்னைத் குப்பையிலிருந்து உயர்த்தி, உன்னை என்னுடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் தலைவனாக வைத்திருக்கும்போது, நீ யெரொபெயாமின் வழியிலே நடந்து, என்னுடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் தங்களுடைய பாவங்களால் எனக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கும்படி அவர்களைப் பாவம் செய்யச்செய்கிறபடியால்,
3 Behold, I will cut down the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house. And I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat.
௩இதோ, நான் பாஷாவுக்கு பின்பு வருபவர்களையும் அவனுடைய வீட்டாருக்கு பின்பு வருபவர்களையும் அழித்துப்போட்டு, உன்னுடைய வீட்டை நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டைப்போல ஆக்குவேன்.
4 Whoever will have died of Baasha in the city, the dogs will consume him. And whoever will have died of him in the countryside, the birds of the air will consume him.”
௪பாஷாவின் சந்ததியிலே பட்டணத்திலே சாகிறவனை நாய்கள் சாப்பிடும்; வெளியிலே சாகிறவனை ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகள் சாப்பிடும் என்றார்.
5 Now the rest of the words of Baasha, and whatever he did, and his battles, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
௫பாஷாவின் மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும், அவன் செய்ததும், அவனுடைய வல்லமையும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
6 Then Baasha slept with his fathers, and he was buried at Tirzah. And Elah, his son, reigned in his place.
௬பாஷா இறந்து தன்னுடைய பிதாக்களோடு திர்சாவில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய மகனாகிய ஏலா அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
7 And when the word of the Lord had arrived by the hand of the prophet Jehu, the son of Hanani, against Baasha, and against his house, and against every evil that he had done before the Lord, so that he provoked him by the works of his hands, so that he became like the house of Jeroboam: for this reason, he killed him, that is, the prophet Jehu, the son of Hanani.
௭பாஷா தன்னுடைய கைகளின் செய்கையால் யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கி, அவருடைய பார்வைக்குச் செய்த எல்லாத் தீமையினால், அவன் யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டாரை வெட்டிப்போட்டதால், இவர்களைப்போல் ஆவான் என்று அவனுக்கும், அவனுடைய வீட்டுக்கும் எதிராக அனானியின் மகனாகிய யெகூ என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியினால் யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை பின்னும் உண்டாயிற்று.
8 In the twenty-sixth year of Asa, the king of Judah, Elah, the son of Baasha, reigned over Israel, at Tirzah, for two years.
௮யூதாவின் ராஜாவான ஆசாவின் 26 ஆம் வருடத்திலே பாஷாவின் மகனாகிய ஏலா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் திர்சாவிலே ராஜாவாகி இரண்டு வருடங்கள் அரசாட்சி செய்தான்.
9 And his servant Zimri, the commander of one half part of the horsemen, rebelled against him. Now Elah was drinking at Tirzah, and he became inebriated in the house of Arza, the prefect of Tirzah.
௯இரதங்களில் பாதிபங்குக்குத் தலைவனாகிய சிம்ரி என்னும் அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரன் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக சதிசெய்து, அவன் திர்சாவிலே அந்த இடத்தின் அரண்மனைப் பொறுப்பாளன் அர்சாவின் வீட்டிலே குடிவெறியில் இருக்கும்போது,
10 Then Zimri, rushing in, struck him and killed him, in the twenty-seventh year of Asa, the king of Judah. And he reigned in his place.
௧0சிம்ரி உள்ளே புகுந்து, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் 27 ஆம் வருடத்தில் அவனை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
11 And when he had reigned and had sat upon his throne, he struck down the entire house of Baasha. And he did not leave behind of them anything that urinates against a wall, among both close relatives and his friends.
௧௧அவன் ராஜாவாகி, சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்தபோது, அவன் பாஷாவின் வீட்டார்களையெல்லாம் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்; அவனுடைய உறவினர்களையோ, நண்பர்களையோ, சுவரில் நீர்விடும் ஒரு நாயையோ, அவன் உயிரோடு வைக்கவில்லை.
12 And so, Zimri destroyed the entire house of Baasha, in accord with the word of the Lord, which he had spoken to Baasha, by the hand the prophet of Jehu,
௧௨அப்படியே பாஷாவும், அவனுடைய மகனாகிய ஏலாவும், தங்கள் வீணான விக்கிரகங்களினாலே இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கிச் செய்ததும் இஸ்ரவேலைச் செய்யவைத்ததுமான அவர்களுடைய எல்லாப் பாவங்களினால்,
13 because of all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah, his son, who sinned and caused Israel to sin, provoking the Lord, the God of Israel, with their vanities.
௧௩யெகோவா தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய யெகூவினால் பாஷாவைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியிருந்த அவருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, சிம்ரி பாஷாவின் வீட்டாரையெல்லாம் அழித்துப்போட்டான்.
14 But the rest of the words of Elah, and all that he did, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
௧௪ஏலாவின் மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும், அவன் செய்தவைகளும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
15 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa, the king of Judah, Zimri reigned for seven days in Tirzah. For the army was besieging Gibbethon, a city of the Philistines.
௧௫யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் இருபத்தேழாம் வருடத்திலே சிம்ரி திர்சாவிலே ஏழுநாட்கள் ராஜாவாக இருந்தான்; மக்கள் அப்பொழுது பெலிஸ்தர்களுக்கு இருக்கிற கிபெத்தோனுக்கு எதிராக முகாமிட்டிருந்தார்கள்.
16 And when they had heard that Zimri had rebelled, and that he had killed the king, all of Israel made Omri as a king for themselves; he was the leader of the military over Israel in the encampment in that day.
௧௬சிம்ரி சதிசெய்து, ராஜாவைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான் என்பதை அங்கே முகாமிட்டிருந்த மக்கள் கேட்டபோது, இஸ்ரவேலர்களெல்லாம் அந்த நாளிலே முகாமிலே படைத்தலைவனாகிய உம்ரியை இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள்.
17 Therefore, Omri ascended, and all of Israel with him, from Gibbethon, and they besieged Tirzah.
௧௭அப்பொழுது உம்ரியும் அவனோடு இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்தும் கிபெத்தோனிலிருந்து வந்து, திர்சாவை முற்றுகை போட்டார்கள்.
18 Then Zimri, seeing that the city was about to be taken, entered the palace, and he set fire to himself along with the royal house. And he died
௧௮பட்டணம் பிடிபட்டதை சிம்ரி கண்டபோது, அவன் ராஜாவின் வீடாகிய அரண்மனைக்குள் நுழைந்து, தான் இருக்கிற ராஜ அரண்மனையைத் தீயிட்டுகொளுத்தி, அதிலே செத்தான்.
19 in his sins, which he had sinned, doing evil before the Lord, and walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin, by which he caused Israel to sin.
௧௯அவன் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குத் தீமையானதைச் செய்து, யெரொபெயாமின் வழியிலும் அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவம்செய்யச்செய்த அவனுடைய பாவத்திலும் நடந்ததால், அப்படி நடந்தது.
20 But the rest of the words of Zimri, and of his treachery and tyranny, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
௨0சிம்ரியின் மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும், அவன் செய்த அவனுடைய சதியும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
21 Then the people of Israel were divided into two parts: one half part of the people followed Tibni, the son of Ginath, having appointed him as king, and one half part followed Omri.
௨௧அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் இரண்டு வகுப்பாகப் பிரிந்து, பாதி மக்கள் கீனாத்தின் மகனாகிய திப்னியை ராஜாவாக்க, அவனைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்; பாதி மக்கள் உம்ரியைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.
22 But the people who were with Omri prevailed over the people who were following Tibni, the son of Ginath. And Tibni died, and Omri reigned.
௨௨ஆனாலும் கீனாத்தின் மகனாகிய திப்னியைப் பின்பற்றின மக்களைவிட, உம்ரியைப் பின்பற்றின மக்கள் பலப்பட்டார்கள்; திப்னி இறந்துபோனான்; உம்ரி அரசாட்சி செய்தான்.
23 In the thirty-first year of Asa, the king of Judah, Omri reigned over Israel for twelve years; he reigned for six years at Tirzah.
௨௩யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் முப்பத்தோராம் வருடத்தில், உம்ரி இஸ்ரவேல்மேல் ராஜாவாகி, பன்னிரண்டு வருடங்கள் அரசாட்சிசெய்தான்; அவன் திர்சாவிலே ஆறு வருடங்கள் அரசாட்சி செய்து,
24 And he bought the mount of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver. And he built upon it, and he called the name of the city that he had built, Samaria, after the name of Shemer, the owner of the mount.
௨௪பின்பு சேமேரின் கையிலிருந்து சமாரியா மலையை இரண்டு தாலந்து வெள்ளிக்கு வாங்கி, அந்த மலையின்மேல் ஒரு பட்டணத்தைக் கட்டி, அதற்கு மலையினுடைய எஜமானாக இருந்த சேமேருடைய பெயரின்படியே சமாரியா என்னும் பெயரை வைத்தான்.
25 But Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, and he wrought wickedness, beyond all who had been before him.
௨௫உம்ரி யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குத் தீங்கானதைச் செய்து, தனக்கு முன்னே இருந்த எல்லோரையும்விட கேடாக நடந்து,
26 And he walked in all the ways of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, and in his sins, by which he had caused Israel to sin, so that he provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, by their vanities.
௨௬நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் எல்லா வழியிலும், இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குத் தங்களுடைய வீணான விக்கிரகங்களாலே கோபம் ஏற்படுத்தும்படியாக இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவம்செய்யச்செய்த அவனுடைய பாவங்களிலும் நடந்தான்.
27 Now the rest of the words of Omri, and his battles that he carried out, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
௨௭உம்ரி செய்த அவனுடைய மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும், அவன் காண்பித்த வல்லமையும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
28 And Omri slept with his fathers, and he was buried in Samaria. And Ahab, his son, reigned in his place.
௨௮உம்ரி இறந்து தன்னுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு, சமாரியாவிலே அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய மகனாகிய ஆகாப் அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
29 Truly, Ahab, the son of Omri, reigned over Israel in the thirty-eighth year of Asa, the king of Judah. And Ahab, the son of Omri, reigned over Israel at Samaria for twenty-two years.
௨௯யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் 38 ஆம் வருடத்தில் உம்ரியின் மகனாகிய ஆகாப் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகி, சமாரியாவில் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் 22 வருடங்கள் அரசாட்சி செய்தான்.
30 And Ahab, the son of Omri, did evil in the sight of the Lord, beyond all who had been before him.
௩0உம்ரியின் மகனாகிய ஆகாப், தனக்கு முன்னே இருந்த எல்லோரையும் விட யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குத் தீங்கானதைச் செய்தான்.
31 And it was not enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat. In addition, he took as a wife Jezebel, the daughter of Eth-baal, the king of the Sidonians. And he went astray, and he served Baal, and adored him.
௩௧நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களில் நடப்பது அவனுக்குக் கொஞ்சக்காரியமென்று நினைத்ததைப்போல அவன் சீதோனியர்களின் ராஜாவாகிய ஏத்பாகாலின் மகள் யேசபேலை திருமணம் செய்ததுமல்லாமல், அவன் போய் பாகாலையும் தொழுது அதைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு,
32 And he set up an altar for Baal, in the temple of Baal, which he had built at Samaria.
௩௨தான் சமாரியாவிலே கட்டின பாகாலின் கோவிலில் பாகாலுக்குப் பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டினான்.
33 And he planted a sacred grove. And Ahab added to his works, provoking the Lord, the God of Israel, beyond all the kings of Israel who had been before him.
௩௩ஆகாப் ஒரு விக்கிரகத்தோப்பையும் வைத்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபம் உண்டாக்கும்படி தனக்கு முன்னே இருந்த இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாம் செய்ததைவிட அதிகமாகச் செய்துவந்தான்.
34 In his days, Hiel from Bethel built up Jericho. With Abiram, his firstborn, he founded it, and with Segub, his youngest son, he set up its gates, in accord with the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by the hand of Joshua, the son of Nun.
௩௪அவனுடைய நாட்களிலே பெத்தேல் ஊரைச்சேர்ந்த ஈயேல் எரிகோவைக் கட்டினான்; யெகோவா நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவைக்கொண்டு சொல்லியிருந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே, அவன் அதின் அஸ்திபாரத்தைப் போடுகிறபோது, அபிராம் என்னும் தன்னுடைய மூத்த மகனையும், அதின் வாசல்களை வைக்கிறபோது செகூப் என்னும் தன்னுடைய இளைய மகனையும் சாகக்கொடுத்தான்.
