Psalms 80
1 For the end, for alternate [strains], a testimony for Asaph, a Psalm concerning the Assyrian. Attend, O Shepherd of Israel, who guide Joseph like a flock; you who sit upon the cherubs, manifest yourself;
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; રાગ શોશાન્નીમ-એદૂથ. આસાફનું ગીત. હે ઇઝરાયલનાં પાળક, અમારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળો; જેમણે યૂસફના લોકોને ઘેટાંની જેમ દોર્યા હતા; કરુબો પર બિરાજમાન અમારા પર પ્રકાશ પાડો!
2 before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasse, stir up your power, and come to deliver us.
૨એફ્રાઇમ, બિન્યામીન તથા મનાશ્શાની આગળ, તમારું સામર્થ્ય પ્રગટ કરો; આવીને અમને બચાવો.
3 Turn us, O God, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be delivered.
૩હે ઈશ્વર, અમને પાછા ફેરવો; તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ અમારા પર પાડો એટલે અમારો બચાવ થાય.
4 O Lord God of hosts, how long are you angry with the prayer of your servant?
૪હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહ, તમારા લોકો તમારી પ્રાર્થના કરે છે, છતાં તમારો કોપ ક્યાં સુધી સળગતો રહેશે.
5 You will feed us with bread of tears; and will cause us to drink tears by measure.
૫તમે તમારા લોકોને આંસુવાળી રોટલી ખવડાવી છે અને તેઓને પુષ્કળ આંસુઓ પાયાં છે.
6 You has made us a strife to our neighbours; and our enemies have mocked at us.
૬તમે અમને અમારા પડોશીઓને લડવા માટે યુદ્ધના નિશાન બનાવ્યાં છે; અને અમારા શત્રુઓ અંદરોઅંદર અમારી હાંસી કરે છે.
7 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved. (Pause)
૭હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર, અમને પાછા ફેરવો; તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ અમારા પર પાડો, જેથી અમારો બચાવ થાય.
8 You have transplanted a vine out of Egypt: you have cast out the heathen, and planted it.
૮તમે મિસરમાંથી દ્રાક્ષાવેલો લાવ્યા; તમે વિદેશીઓને હાંકી કાઢીને તેને રોપ્યો.
9 You made a way before it, and did cause its roots to strike, and the land was filled [with it].
૯તમે તેને માટે જગ્યા સાફ કરી; તેમાં મૂળ નાંખ્યા અને તેનાથી દેશ ભરપૂર થયો.
10 Its shadow covered the mountains, and its shoots [equalled] the goodly cedars.
૧૦તેની છાયાથી પર્વતો ઢંકાઈ ગયા, તેની વિશાળ લાંબી ડાળીઓ ઈશ્વરના દેવદારો જેવી હતી.
11 It sent forth its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the river.
૧૧તેણે પોતાની ડાળીઓ સમુદ્ર સુધી પ્રસારી અને તેની ડાળખીઓ ફ્રાત નદી સુધી પ્રસારી.
12 Therefore have you broken down its hedge, while all that pass by the way pluck it?
૧૨તમે તેનો દિવાલ એવી રીતે કેમ તોડી છે કે જેથી રસ્તે જતાં મુસાફરો તેની દ્રાક્ષો ચૂંટી લે છે?
13 The boar out of the wood has laid it waste, and the wild beast has devoured it.
૧૩જંગલમાંથી ડુક્કરો આવીને તેને બગાડે છે અને રાની પશુઓ તેને ખાઈ જાય છે.
14 O God of hosts, turn, we pray you: look on [us] from heaven, and behold and visit this vine;
૧૪હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર, તમે પાછા આવો, આકાશમાંથી નીચે દ્રષ્ટિ કરો અને ધ્યાનમાં લો તથા આ દ્રાક્ષાવેલાની રક્ષા કરો.
15 and restore that which your right hand has planted: and look on the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself.
૧૫તમે તમારા જમણા હાથે જેને રોપી છે, જે ડાળીને તમે તમારે માટે બળવાન કરી છે, તેનું રક્ષણ કરો.
16 [It is] burnt with fire and dug up: they shall perish at the rebuke of your presence.
૧૬તેને કાપીને બાળવામાં આવી; તમારા ઠપકાથી તમારા શત્રુઓ નાશ પામે છે.
17 Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, and upon the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself.
૧૭તમારા જમણા હાથના માણસ પર, એટલે જે માણસના દીકરાને તમે પોતાને માટે બળવાન કરેલો છે તેના પર તમારો હાથ રાખો.
18 So will we not depart from you: you shall quicken us, and we will call upon your name.
૧૮એટલે અમે તમારાથી વિમુખ થઈશું નહિ; અમને પુનર્જીવન આપો અને અમે તમારા નામમાં પ્રાર્થના કરીશું.
19 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and make your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
૧૯હે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહ, અમને પાછા ફેરવો; તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ અમારા પર પાડો, જેથી અમારો બચાવ થાય.
