Psalms 138

1 A Psalm for David, of Aggaeus and Zacharias. I will give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; and I will sing psalms to you before the angels; for you have heard all the words of my mouth.

Tôi sẽ hết lòng cảm tạ Chúa, Hát ngợi khen Chúa trước mặt các thần.

2 I will worship towards your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, on account of your mercy and your truth; for you have magnified your holy name above every thing.

Tôi sẽ thờ lạy hướng về đền thánh của Chúa, Cảm tạ danh Chúa vì sự nhơn từ và sự chơn thật của Chúa; Vì Chúa đã làm cho lời Chúa được tôn cao Hơn cả danh-thinh Chúa.

3 In whatever day I shall call upon you, hear me speedily; you shall abundantly provide me with your power in my soul.

Trong ngày tôi kêu cầu, Chúa đáp lại, Giục lòng tôi mạnh mẽ.

4 Let all the kings of the earth, o Lord, give thanks to you; for they have heard all the words of your mouth.

Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, các vua thế gian sẽ cảm tạ Ngài, Vì họ đã nghe những lời của miệng Ngài.

5 And let them sing in the ways of the Lord; for great is the glory of the Lord.

Phải, họ sẽ hát xướng về đường lối Ðức Giê-hô-va, Vì vinh hiển Ðức Giê-hô-va là lớn thay.

6 For the Lord is high, and [yet] regards the lowly; and he knows high things from afar off.

Dầu Ðức Giê-hô-va cao cả, thì cũng đoái đến những người hèn hạ; Còn kẻ kiêu ngạo, Ngài nhận biết từ xa.

7 Though I should walk in the midst of affliction, you will quicken me; you have stretched forth your hands against the wrath of mine enemies, and your right hand has saved me.

Dẫu tôi đi giữa gian truân, Chúa sẽ làm cho tôi được sống, Giơ tay Chúa ra chống trả cơn giận của kẻ thù nghịch tôi, Và tay hữu Chúa sẽ cứu tôi.

8 O Lord, you shall recompense [them] on my behalf: your mercy, O Lord, [endures] for ever: overlook not the works of your hands.

Ðức Giê-hô-va sẽ làm xong việc thuộc về tôi. Hỡi Ðức Giê-hô-va, sự nhơn từ Ngài còn đến đời đời; Xin chớ bỏ công việc của tay Ngài.
