Psalms 101

1 A Psalm of David. I will sing to you, O Lord, of mercy and judgement; I will sing a psalm,

૧દાઉદનું ગીત. કૃપા તથા ન્યાય વિષે હું ગાયન કરીશ; હે યહોવાહ, હું તમારી સ્તુતિ કરીશ.

2 and I will be wise in a blameless way. When will you come to me? I walked in the innocence of my heart, in the midst of my house.

૨હું સીધા માર્ગમાં ચાલીશ. તમે મારી પાસે ક્યારે આવશો? હું ખરા અંતઃકરણથી મારા ઘરમાં વર્તીશ.

3 I have not set before mine eyes any unlawful ting; I have hated transgressors.

૩હું કંઈ ખોટું કાર્ય મારી દ્રષ્ટિમાં રાખીશ નહિ; પીછેહઠ કરનારાનાં કામથી હું કંટાળું છું; તેમની કંઈ અસર મને થશે નહિ.

4 A perverse heart has not cleaved to me; I have not known an evil man, forasmuch as he turns away from me.

૪અનુચિત લોકોને હું મારાથી દૂર રાખીશ; હું કોઈ દુષ્ટની ઓળખાણ રાખીશ નહિ.

5 Him that privily speaks against his neighbour, him have I driven from [me]: he that is proud in look and insatiable in heart, —with him I have not eaten.

૫જે કોઈ પોતાના પાડોશીની છાની ચાડી કરે છે તેનો હું નાશ કરીશ. જેની દ્રષ્ટિ અભિમાની અને જેનું હૃદય ગર્વિષ્ઠ છે તેનું હું સહન કરીશ નહિ.

6 Mine eyes [shall be] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walked in a perfect way, the same ministered to me.

૬દેશમાંના વિશ્વાસુઓ મારી પાસે વાસો કરે તે માટે હું તેઓ પર રહેમ નજર રાખીશ. જે કોઈ સીધા માર્ગમાં ચાલે છે તે મારી સેવા કરશે.

7 The proud doer lived not in the midst of my house; the unjust speaker prospered not in my sight.

૭કપટી લોકો મારા ઘરમાં રહી શકશે નહિ; જૂઠું બોલનારા કોઈ મારી આંખ આગળ રહેશે નહિ.

8 Early did I kill all the sinners of the land, that I might destroy out of the city of the Lord all that work iniquity.

૮આ દેશમાં રહેતા દુષ્ટ લોકોનો હું દરરોજ નાશ કરીશ; સર્વ દુષ્ટ કરનારાઓને યહોવાહના નગરમાંથી કાપી નાખીશ.
