< Obdias 1 >

1 The vision of Obdias. Thus says the Lord God to Idumea; I have heard a report from the Lord, and he has sent forth a message to the nations.
Ti Sirmata ni Obadias. Kastoy ti ibagbaga ni Yahweh nga Apo maipanggep iti Edom: Nakangngegkami iti maysa a damag a naggapu kenni Yahweh, ket adda ti maysa a mangibabaet a naibaon kadagiti nasion a kunana, “Agtignay kayo, intayo gubaten isuna”.
2 Arise you, and let us rise up against her to war.
Dumngegka, pagbalinenka a kabassitan kadagiti nasion, ket kastanto unay iti pannakalaismo.
3 Behold, I have made you small amongst the Gentiles: you are greatly dishonoured. The pride of your heart has elated you, dwelling [as you do] in the holes of the rocks, [as one that] exalts his habitation, saying in his heart, Who will bring me down to the ground?
Inallilawnaka ti kinapannakkel ti pusom, sika nga agnanaed iti nagbabaetan ti bato, iti nakangatngato a pagtaengam, sika a mangibagbaga dita pusom, “Siasinonto ngay ti mangipababa kaniak iti daga?”
4 If you should mount up as the eagle, and if you should make your nest amongst the stars, thence will I bring you down, says the Lord.
Numan pay nangato ti panagtayabmo a kas iti agila, ken numan pay naiyaramid ti umokmo iti ayan dagiti bituen, ipababakanto manipud sadiay, kuna ni Yahweh.
5 If thieves came in to you, or robbers by night, where would you have been cast away? would they not have stolen [just] enough for themselves? and if grape gatherers went in to you, would they not leave a gleaning?
No immay dagiti agtatakaw kenka, no immay dagiti agtatakaw iti rabii, (anian a pannakadadaelmo koma!), saan kadi a ti laeng takawenda ket ti kapkapnekanda? Ket no immay kenka dagiti agburburas iti ubas, saan kadi nga agibatida iti sumagmamano?
6 How has Esau been searched out, and [how] have his hidden things been detected?
Anian a pannakasamsam dagiti sanikua ni Esau, ken pannakaduktal kadagiti ilemlemmengna a kinabaknang!
7 They sent you to your coasts: all the men of your covenant have withstood you; your allies have prevailed against you, they have set snares under you: they have no understanding.
Amin dagiti lallaki a nakikadua kenka, ituloddakanto iti ayan ti beddeng. Inallilawdaka dagiti lallaki a nakikapia idi kenka, ket pinarmekdaka. Nangaramid iti palab-og iti babaem dagiti tattao a nangan iti tinapaymo. Awan iti pannakaawat kenkuana.
8 In that day, says the Lord, I will destroy the wise men out of Idumea, and understanding out of the mount of Esau.
Kuna ni Yahweh, apay ti kunam, saankonto a dadaelen dagiti masirib a lallaki a naggapu iti Edom, ken saanko a pukawen ti pannakaawat manipud iti bantay ni Esau?”.
9 And your warriors from Thaeman shall be dismayed, to the end that man may be cut off from the mount of Esau.
“Ket mapukawanto iti namnama dagiti nasisiglat a lallaki nga adda kenka Teman, iti kasta ket maisina ti tunggal lalaki manipud iti bantay ni Esau babaen iti namimpinsan a pannakapapatay.
10 Because of the slaughter and the sin [committed against] your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off for ever.
Gapu iti kinaranggas a napasamak iti kabsatmo a ni Jacob, maibabainkanto iti kasta unay, ket mapukawkanto iti agnanayon.
11 From the day that you stood in opposition [to him], in the days when foreigners were taking captive his forces, and strangers entered into his gates, and cast lots on Jerusalem, you also was as one of them.
Iti aldaw nga agtaktakderka a nakayakay, iti aldaw nga intalaw dagiti gangannaet ti kinabaknangna, ken simrek dagiti gangannaet kadagiti ruanganna, ken nagbibinnunotanda ti Jerusalem, kasla ka a maysa kadakuada.
12 And you should not have looked on the day of your brother in the day of strangers; nor should you have rejoiced against the children of Juda in the day of their destruction; neither should you have boasted in the day of [their] affliction.
Ngem saanka koma a nagragsak iti aldaw ti kabsatmo, iti aldaw iti kinadaksanggasatna, ken saanka koma a nagrag-o iti aldaw a pannakadadael dagiti tattao ti Juda; saanka koma a nagparammag iti aldaw a nagsagsagabada.
13 Neither should you have gone into the gates of the people in the day of their troubles; nor yet should you have looked upon their gathering in the day of their destruction, nor should you have attacked their host in the day of their perishing.
Saanka koma a simrek iti ruangan dagiti tattaok iti aldaw a pannakadidigrada; saanka koma a naragsakan iti panaglidayda iti aldaw iti panagrigrigatda, saanmo koma a tinakaw dagiti kinabaknangda iti aldaw a pannakadadaelda.
14 Neither should you have stood at the opening of their passages, to destroy utterly those of them that were escaping; neither should you have shut up his fugitives in the day of affliction.
Ken saanka koma a nagtakder iti nagsasangalan dagiti kalsada tapno tiliwen dagiti nakalibas a tattaona; ken saanmo koma nga impaima dagiti nakalasat a tattaona kadagiti kabusorda iti aldaw iti panagsagsagabada.
15 For the day of the Lord is near upon all the Gentiles: as you have done, so shall it be [done] to you: your recompense shall be returned on your [own] head.
Ta asidegen ti aldaw ni Yahweh kadagiti amin a nasion. No ania ti inaramidmo, maaramidto met kenka. Dagiti aramidmo ket agsublinto metlaengkenka.
16 For as you have drunk upon my holy mountain, [so] shall all the nations drink wine; they shall drink, and go down, and be as if they were not.
Gapu ta kas iti panagbartekmo iti nasantoan a bantayko, kasta met nga aminto dagiti nasion ket saanto nga agsardeng iti panaginomda. Aginom ken agtilmondanto, a kasla la saanda pulos a nagbiag.
17 But on mount Sion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be a sanctuary; and the house of Jacob shall take for an inheritance those that took them for an inheritance.
Ngem idiay Bantay Sion, addanto dagiti makalibas, ket agbalinto a nasantoan daytoy; ket tagikuaento manen ti balay ni Jacob dagiti bukodda a sanikua.
18 And the house of Jacob shall be fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau [shall be] for stubble; and [Israel] shall flame forth against them, and shall devour them, and there shall not be a corn-field [left] to the house of Esau; because the Lord has spoken.
Agbalinto nga apuy ti balay ni Jacob, ket agbalinto a gil-ayab ti balay ni Jose, ken agbalinto a garami ti balay ni Esau, ket puorandanto ida, ket mauramdanto. Awanto ti makalasat kadagiti adda iti balay ni Esau, ta daytoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh.
19 And they [that dwell] in the south shall inherit the mount of Esau, and they in the plain the Philistines: and they shall inherit the mount of Ephraim, and the plain of Samaria, and Benjamin, and the land of Galaad.
Ket tagikuaento dagiti naggapu idiay Negeb ti bantay ni Esau, ken dagiti naggapu iti Shepelah ket tagikuaendanto ti daga dagiti Filisteo; ken tagikuaendanto ti daga ti Efraim, ken ti daga ti Samaria; ket tagikuaento met ti Benjamin ti Gilead.
20 And this [shall be] the domain of the captivity of the children of Israel, the land of the Chananites as far as Sarepta; and the captives of Jerusalem [shall inherit] as far as Ephratha; they shall inherit the cities of the south.
Dagiti naipanaw a balud manipud kadagiti tattao ti Israel ket tagikuaendanto ti daga ti Canaan agingga idiay Sarepat. Ket dagiti naipanaw a nagbalin a balud manipud Jerusalem nga adda idiay Sepharad, tagikuaendanto dagiti siyudad iti Negeb.
21 And they that escape shall come up from mount Sion, to take vengeance on the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.
Sumang-atto idiay bantay Sion dagiti mangispal tapno ukomenda ti bantay ni Esau, ket agbalinto a kukua ni Yahweh ti pagarian.
