Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O Lord, what has happened to us: behold, and look on our reproach.
Rememoru, ho Eternulo, kio fariĝis al ni; Rigardu kaj vidu nian malhonoron!
2 Our inheritance has been turned away to aliens, our houses to strangers:
Nia heredaĵo transiris al fremduloj, Niaj domoj al aligentuloj.
3 we are become orphans, we have no father, our mothers are as widows.
Ni fariĝis orfoj senpatraj, Niaj patrinoj estas kiel vidvinoj.
4 We have drunk our water for money; our wood is sold to us [for a burden] on our neck:
Nian akvon ni trinkas pro mono; Nian lignon ni ricevas nur pro pago.
5 we have been persecuted, we have laboured, we have had no rest.
Oni pelas nin je nia kolo; Ni laciĝis, sed oni ne permesas al ni ripozi.
6 Egypt gave the hand [to us], Assur to their own satisfaction.
Al Egiptujo ni etendis la manon, Al Asirio, por satiĝi per pano.
7 Our fathers sinned, [and] are not: we have borne their iniquities.
Niaj patroj pekis, sed ili jam ne ekzistas; Kaj ni devas suferi pro iliaj malbonagoj.
8 Servants have ruled over us: there is none to ransom [us] out of their hand.
Sklavoj regas super ni; Kaj neniu liberigas nin el iliaj manoj.
9 We shall bring in our bread with [danger of] our lives, because of the sword of the wilderness.
Kun danĝero por nia vivo ni akiras nian panon, Pro la glavo en la dezerto.
10 Our skin is blackened like an oven; they are convulsed, because of the storms of famine.
Nia haŭto varmegiĝis kiel forno, Por la kruela malsato.
11 They humbled the women in Sion, the virgins in the cities of Juda.
La virinojn en Cion ili senhonorigis, La virgulinojn en la urboj de Judujo.
12 Princes were hanged up by their hands: the elders were not honoured.
La princoj estas pendigitaj je siaj manoj; La maljunulojn oni ne respektis.
13 The chosen men lifted up [the voice in] weeping, and the youths fainted under the wood.
La junuloj devas porti muelŝtonojn; La knaboj falas sub la lignoŝarĝoj.
14 And the elders ceased from the gate, the chosen men ceased from their music.
La maljunuloj jam ne sidas ĉe la pordegoj, La junuloj jam ne kantas.
15 The joy of our heart has ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
Malaperis la gajeco de nia koro; Niaj dancrondoj aliformiĝis en funebron.
16 The crown has fallen [from] our head: yes, woe to us! for we have sinned.
Defalis la krono de nia kapo; Ho ve al ni, ke ni pekis!
17 For this has grief come; our heart is sorrowful: for this our eyes are darkened.
Pro tio senfortiĝis nia koro, Pro tio senlumiĝis niaj okuloj:
18 Over the mountain of Sion, because it is made desolate, foxes have walked therein.
Pro la monto Cion, ke ĝi fariĝis dezerta, Ke vulpoj vagas sur ĝi.
19 But you, O Lord, shall dwell for ever; your throne [shall endure] to generation and generation.
Sed Vi, ho Eternulo, kiu restas eterne Kaj kies trono staras de generacio al generacio,
20 Therefore will you utterly forget us, and abandon us a long time?
Kial Vi forgesis nin kvazaŭ por eterne, Forlasis nin por longa tempo?
21 Turn us, O Lord, to you, and we shall be turned; and renew our days as before.
Reirigu nin, ho Eternulo, al Vi, ke ni revenu; Renovigu niajn tagojn kiel en la tempo antaŭa.
22 For you have indeed rejected us; you have been very angry against us.
Ĉar ĉu Vi nin tute forpuŝis? Vi tre forte ekkoleris kontraŭ ni.
