Joshua 19
1 And the second lot came out for the children of Symeon; and their inheritance was in the midst of the lots of the children of Juda.
La seconde part échut par le sort à Siméon, à la tribu des fils de Siméon, selon leurs familles: leur héritage fut au milieu de l’héritage des fils de Juda.
2 And their lot was Beersabee, and Samaa, and Caladam,
Ils eurent dans leur héritage: Bersabée, Sabée, Molada,
3 and Arsola, and Bola, and Jason,
Haser-Sual, Bala, Asem,
4 and Erthula, and Bula, and Herma,
Eltholad, Béthul, Harma,
5 and Sikelac, and Baethmachereb, and Sarsusin,
Siceleg, Beth-Marchaboth, Hasersusa,
6 and Batharoth, and their fields, thirteen cities, and their villages.
Beth-lebaoth et Sarohen: treize villes et leurs villages.
7 Eremmon, and Thalcha, and Jether, and Asan; four cities and their villages,
Aïn, Remmon, Athar et Asan, quatre villes et leurs villages;
8 round about their cities as far as Balec as [men] go to Bameth southward: this [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon according to their families.
ainsi que tous les villages aux environs de ces villes, jusqu’à Baalath-Béer, qui est la Ramath du midi. — Tel fut l’héritage de la tribu des fils de Siméon selon leurs familles.
9 The inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon [was a part] of the lot of Juda, for the portion of the children of Juda was greater than theirs; and the children of Symeon inherited in the midst of their lot.
L’héritage des fils de Siméon fut pris sur la portion des fils de Juda; car la portion des fils de Juda était trop grande pour eux, et c’est au milieu de leur territoire que les fils de Siméon reçurent leur héritage.
10 And the third lot came out to Zabulon according to their families: the bounds of their inheritance shall be—Esedekgola shall be their border,
La troisième part échut par le sort aux fils de Zabulon selon leurs familles; la frontière de leur héritage s’étendait jusqu’à Sarid.
11 the sea and Magelda, and it shall reach to Baetharaba in the valley, which is opposite Jekman.
Leur frontière montait vers l’occident, vers Mérala, touchait à Debbaseth, touchait au torrent qui coule devant Jéconam.
12 And the border returned from Sedduc in a contrary direction eastward from Baethsamys, to the borders of Chaselothaith, and shall pass on to Dabiroth, and shall proceed upward to Phangai.
De Sarid, elle revenait à l’orient, vers le soleil levant, jusqu’à la frontière de Céseleth-Thabor, aboutissait vers Dabereth et montait à Japhiré.
13 And thence it shall come round in the opposite direction eastward to Gebere to the city of Catasem, and shall go on to Remmonaa Matharaoza.
De là, elle passait, vers l’orient, vers le soleil levant à Geth-Hépher, à Thacasin, et aboutissait à Remmon, qui confine à Noa.
14 And the borders shall come round northward to Amoth, and their going out shall be at Gaephael,
La frontière tournait du côté du nord vers Hanathon, et aboutissait à la vallée de Jephtahel.
15 and Catanath, and Nabaal, and Symoon, and Jericho, and Baethman.
Les villes étaient: Catheth, Naalol, Séméron, Jedala et Bethléhem: douze villes et leurs villages. —
16 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon according to their families, [these] cities and their villages.
Tel fut l’héritage des fils de Zabulon, selon leurs familles: ces villes et leurs villages.
17 And the fourth lot came out to Issachar.
La quatrième part échut par le sort à Issachar, aux fils d’Issachar, selon leurs familles.
18 And their borders were Jazel, and Chasaloth, and Sunam,
Leur frontière était Jezraël, Casaloth, Sunem,
19 and Agin, and Siona, and Reeroth,
Hapharaïm, Séon, Anaharath,
20 and Anachereth, and Dabiron, and Kison, and Rebes,
Rabboth, Césion, Abès,
21 and Remmas, and Jeon, and Tomman, and Aemarec, and Bersaphes.
Ramèth, En-Gannim, En-Hadda et Beth-Phésès.
22 And the boundaries shall border upon Gaethbor, and upon Salim westward, and Baethsamys; and the extremity of his bounds shall be Jordan.
La frontière touchait à Thabor, à Séhésima et à Beth-Samès, et aboutissait au Jourdain: seize villes et leurs villages. —
23 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.
Tel fut l’héritage de la tribu des fils d’Issachar, selon leurs familles: les villes et leurs villages.
24 And the fifth lot came out to Aser according to their families.
La cinquième part échut par le sort à la tribu des fils d’Aser, selon leurs familles.
25 And their borders were Exeleketh, and Aleph, and Baethok, and Keaph,
Leur frontière était Halcath, Chali, Béten, Axaph,
26 and Elimelech, and Amiel, and Maasa, and the lot will border on Carmel westward, and on Sion, and Labanath.
Elmélech, Amaad et Messal; elle touchait, vers l’occident, au Carmel et à Sihor-Labanath;
27 And it will return westward from Baethegeneth, and will join Zabulon and Ekgai, and Phthaeel northwards, and the borders will come to Saphthaebaethme, and Inael, and will go on to Chobamasomel,
puis elle tournait vers Beth-Dagon, touchait Zabulon et la vallée de Jephtahel, au nord de Beth-Emec et de Néhiel, et aboutissait à Caboul, à gauche,
28 and Elbon, and Raab, and Ememaon, and Canthan to great Sidon.
et à Abran, Rohob, Hamon, et Cana, jusqu’à Sidon la Grande;
29 And the borders shall turn back to Rama, and to the fountain of Masphassat, and the Tyrians; and the borders shall return to Jasiph, and their going forth shall be the sea, and Apoleb, and Echozob,
la frontière tournait ensuite vers Ramath jusqu’à la ville forte de Tyr et la frontière tournait vers Hosa, pour aboutir à la mer, près du district d’Achziba;
30 and Archob, and Aphec, and Raau.
de plus: Amma, Aphec et Rohob: vingt-deux villes et leurs villages. —
31 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Aser according to their families, the cities and their villages.
Tel fut l’héritage de la tribu des fils d’Aser. Selon leurs familles: ces villes et leurs villages.
32 And the sixth lot came out to Nephthali.
La sixième part échut par le sort aux fils de Nephthali, selon leurs familles.
33 And their borders were Moolam, and Mola, and Besemiin, and Arme, and Naboc, and Jephthamai, as far as Dodam; and their goings out were Jordan.
Leur frontière allait depuis Héleph, à partir du chêne qui est à Saananim, vers Adami-Néceb et Jebnaël, jusqu’à Lécum, et elle aboutissait au Jourdain;
34 And the coasts will return westward by Athabor, and will go out thence to Jacana, and will border on Zabulon southward, and Aser will join [it] westward, and Jordan eastward.
la frontière tournait vers l’occident à Azanoth-Thabor, et de là aboutissait à Hucuca; elle touchait à Zabulon au midi, à Aser à l’occident, et à Juda, près du Jourdain, vers le soleil levant.
35 And the walled cities of the Tyrians, Tyre, and Omathadaketh, and Kenereth,
Les villes fortes étaient: Assédim, Ser, Emath, Reccath, Cénéreth,
36 and Armaith, and Areal, and Asor,
Edéma, Arama, Asor,
37 and Cades, and Assari, and the well of Asor;
Cédès, Edraï, En-Hasor,
38 and Keroe, and Megalaarim, and Baetthame, and Thessamys.
Jéron, Magdalel, Horem, Beth-Anath et Beth-Samès: dix-neuf villes et leurs villages. —
39 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Nephthali.
Tel fut l’héritage de la tribu des fils de Nephthali, selon leurs familles: les villes et leurs villages.
40 And the seventh lot came out to Dan.
La septième part échut par le sort à la tribu des fils de Dan, selon leurs familles.
41 And their borders were Sarath, and Asa, and the cities of Sammaus,
La frontière de leur héritage comprenait Saraa, Esthaol, Hir-Sémès,
42 and Salamin, and Ammon, and Silatha,
Sélébin, Ajalon, Jéthéla,
43 and Elon, and Thamnatha, and Accaron;
Elon, Themna, Acron,
44 and Alcatha, and Begethon, and Gebeelan,
Elthécé, Gebbéthon, Balaath,
45 and Azor, and Banaebacat, and Gethremmon.
Jud, Bené-Barach, Geth-Remmon;
46 And westward of Hieracon the border [was] near to Joppa.
Mé-Jarcon et Arécon, avec le territoire vis-à-vis de Joppé.
47 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan, according to their families, these [are] their cities and their villages: and the children of Dan did not drive out the Amorite who afflicted them in the mountain; and the Amorite would not suffer them to come down into the valley, but they forcibly took from them the border of their portion.
Le territoire des fils de Dan s’étendit au dehors de chez eux; car les fils de Dan montèrent et combattirent contre Lésem; ils s’en emparèrent et la frappèrent du tranchant de l’épée; en ayant pris possession, ils s’y établirent, et l’appelèrent Dan, du nom de Dan, leur père. —
48 And the sons of Dan went and fought against Lachis, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword; and they lived in it, and called the name of it Lasendan: and the Amorite continued to dwell in Edom and in Salamin: and the hand of Ephraim prevailed against them, and they became tribute to them.

49 And they proceeded to take possession of the land according to their borders, and the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Naue amongst them,
Lorsqu’ils eurent achevé de faire le partage du pays, selon ses limites, les enfants d’Israël donnèrent à Josué, fils de Nun, un héritage au milieu d’eux.
50 by the command of God, and they gave him the city which he asked for, Thamnasarach, which is in the mount of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived in it.
Sur l’ordre de Yahweh, ils lui donnèrent la ville qu’il demanda, Thamnath-Saré, dans la montagne d’Ephraïm. Josué rebâtit cette ville et il y demeura.
51 These [are] the divisions which Eleazar the priest divided by lot, and Joshua the [son] of Naue, and the heads of families amongst the tribes of Israel, according to the lots, in Selo before the Lord by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and they went to take possession of the land.
Tels sont les héritages que le prêtre Eléazar, Josué, fils de Nun, et les chefs de famille des tribus des enfants d’Israël répartirent par le sort à Silo, devant Yahweh, à l’entrée de la tente de réunion. Ils achevèrent ainsi le partage du pays.
