Job 24
1 But why have the seasons been hidden from the Lord,
¿Si no son ocultos los tiempos al Todopoderoso, por qué los que tienen conocimiento de él no ven sus días?
2 while the ungodly have passed over the bound, carrying off the flock with the shepherd?
Los puntos de referencia son cambiados por hombres malvados, ellos roban violentamente los rebaños, junto con sus pastores.
3 They have led away, the ass of the fatherless, and taken the widow's ox for a pledge.
Se llevan el asno del huérfano, toman el buey de la viuda en prenda.
4 They have turned aside the weak from the right way: and the meek of the earth have hidden themselves together.
Los necesitados son apartados del camino; Todos los pobres de la tierra van juntos a un lugar secreto.
5 And they have departed like asses in the field, having gone forth on my account according to their own order: his bread is sweet to [his] little ones.
Al igual que los asnos en el desierto, salen a su trabajo, buscando comida con cuidado; y del desierto obtienen pan para sus hijos.
6 They have reaped a field that was not their own before the time: the poor have laboured in the vineyards of the ungodly without pay and without food.
Obtienen grano mezclado del campo, y juntan la segunda cosechas de las vides de los impíos.
7 They have caused many naked to sleep without clothes, and they have taken away the covering of their body.
Ellos descansan por la noche sin ropa, y no se cubren del frío.
8 They are wet with the drops of the mountains: they have embraced the rock, because they had no shelter.
Están mojados con la lluvia de las montañas, y se meten en las grietas de la roca para cubrirse.
9 They have snatched the fatherless from the breast, and have afflicted the outcast.
El niño sin padre se ve forzado a abandonar el pecho de su madre y los niños de pecho los toman en prenda.
10 And they have wrongfully caused [others] to sleep without clothing, and taken away the morsel of the hungry.
Otros van sin ropa, y aunque no tienen comida, toman el grano de los campos.
11 They have unrighteously laid wait in narrow places, and have not known the righteous way.
Entre sus paredes de olivos hacen aceite; aunque no tienen bebida, están aplastando las uvas.
12 Who have cast forth [the] poor from the city and their own houses, and the soul of the children has groaned aloud.
De la ciudad provienen sonidos de dolor de los que están cerca de la muerte, y el alma de los heridos está pidiendo ayuda; Pero Dios no toma nota de su oración.
13 Why then has he not visited these? forasmuch as they were upon the earth, and took no notice, and they knew not the way of righteousness, neither have they walked in their [appointed] paths?
Luego están aquellos que odian la luz, que no tienen conocimiento de sus caminos, y no entran en ellos.
14 But having known their works, he delivered them into darkness: and in the night one will be as a thief:
El que propone la muerte se levanta antes del día, para poder matar a los pobres y a los necesitados, y en la noche es un ladrón.
15 and the eye of the adulterer has watched [for] the darkness, saying, Eye shall not perceive me, and he puts a covering on his face.
Y el hombre cuyo deseo es por la esposa de otro está esperando la noche, diciendo: Ningún ojo me verá; Y él pone un disfraz en su rostro;
16 In darkness he digs through houses: by day they conceal themselves securely: they know not the light.
En la oscuridad él hace agujeros en las paredes de las casas; que durante el día había marcado, no tiene conocimiento de la luz.
17 For the morning is to them all [as] the shadow of death, for [each] will be conscious of the terror of the shadow of death.
Porque la mitad de la noche es como una mañana para ellos, no les preocupa el terror de la oscuridad.
18 He is swift on the face of the water: let his portion be cursed on the earth; and let their plants be laid bare.
Él iniquo flota sobre la faz de las aguas; Su herencia está maldita en la tierra; y nadie vuelve a los caminos de sus viñedos.
19 [Let them be] withered upon the earth; for they have plundered the sheaves of the fatherless. (Sheol h7585)
Las aguas de la nieve se secan con el calor: también los pecadores descienden al sepulcro. (Sheol h7585)
20 Then is his sin brought to remembrance, and he vanishes like a vapour of dew: but let what he has done be recompensed to him, and let every unrighteous one be crushed like rotten wood.
Su madre se olvidara de él, el gusano lo saboreara, y su nombre ha desaparecido de la memoria de los hombres; él impío está desarraigado como un árbol muerto.
21 For he has not treated the barren woman well, and has had no pity on a feeble woman.
No es amable con la viuda, y no tiene piedad por su hijo.
22 And in wrath he has overthrown the helpless: therefore when he has arisen, [a man] will not feel secure of his own life.
Pero Dios, con su poder derriba al fuerte; cuando él actúa, nadie tiene segura la vida.
23 When he has fallen sick, let him not hope to recover: but let him perish by disease.
Él quita su temor al peligro y le da apoyo; y sus ojos están en sus caminos.
24 For his exaltation has hurt many; but he has withered as mallows in the heat, or as an ear of corn falling off of itself from the stalk.
Por un corto tiempo son exaltados; entonces se desaparecen, son humillados, se arrancan como fruta, y como las espigas se cortan.
25 But if not, who is he that says I speak falsely, and will make my words of no account?
Y si no es así, ahora, ¿quién dejará claro que mis palabras son falsas y que lo que digo no tiene ningún valor?
