Jeremias 51
1 THE WORD THAT CAME TO JEREMIAS for all the Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt, and for those settled in Magdolo and in Taphnas, and in the land of Pathura, saying,
૧યહોવાહ કહે છે કે; “જુઓ, હું બાબિલની વિરુદ્ધ, તથા લે-કામાયમાં વસનારા વિરુદ્ધ વિનાશક વાયુ લાવીશ.
2 Thus has the Lord God of Israel said; You have seen all the evils which I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon the cities of Juda; and, behold, they are desolate without inhabitants,
૨હું પરદેશીઓને બાબિલમાં મોકલીશ; તેઓ તેને વેરવિખેર કરી અને તેને ઉજ્જડ કરશે, વિપત્તિના દિવસે તેઓ તેને ચારેબાજુથી ઘેરી લેશે
3 because of their wickedness, which they have wrought to provoke me, [by] going to burn incense to other gods, whom you knew not.
૩ધર્નુધારીઓને તેઓનું બાણ ખેંચવા દેશો નહિ; તેઓને બખતર પહેરવા દેશો નહિ. તેઓના સૈનિકો પર દયા ન બતાવશો; તેઓના સૈન્યનો નાશ કરો.
4 yet I sent to you my servants the prophets early in the morning, and I sent, saying, Do not you this abominable thing which I hate.
૪ખાલદીઓના દેશમાં તેઓની હત્યા થઈને પડશે અને તેની શેરીઓમાં તેઓના મૃતદેહો પડ્યા રહેશે.
5 But they listened not to me, and inclined not their ear to turn from their wickedness, so as not to burn incense to strange gods.
૫કેમ કે, ઇઝરાયલ અને યહૂદિયા તેઓના ઈશ્વર સૈન્યોના યહોવાહથી તજાયેલા નથી. જોકે તેઓની ભૂમિ ઇઝરાયલના પવિત્રની વિરુદ્ધ કરેલાં અપરાધોથી ભરેલી છે.
6 So mine anger and my wrath dropped [upon them], and was kindled in the gates of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they became a desolation and a waste, as at this day.
૬બાબિલમાંથી નાસી જાઓ. સૌ પોતપોતાના જીવ બચાવવા નાસી જાઓ! બાબિલના પાપે તમે મરશો નહિ, કેમ કે બદલો લેવાનો યહોવાહનો આ સમય છે. તે તેને ઘટતી સજા કરી રહ્યા છે.
7 And now thus has the Lord Almighty said, Therefore do you commit [these] great evils against your souls? to cut off man and woman of you, infant and suckling from the midst of Juda, to the end that not one of you should be left;
૭બાબિલ તો યહોવાહના હાથમાં સોનાના પ્યાલા સમું હતું. તેણે સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિને તેનો દ્રાક્ષારસ પીવડાવ્યો છે. પ્રજાઓએ તે પીધો અને લોકો ઘેલા થયા.
8 by provoking me with the works of your hands, to burn incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, into which you entered to dwell there, that you might be cut off, and that you might become a curse and a reproach amongst all the nations of the earth?
૮પરંતુ હવે બાબિલનું અચાનક પતન થયું છે. તે ભાંગ્યું છે. તેને માટે ચિંતા કરો, તેના ઘા માટે ઔષધિ લઈ આવો. કદાચ તે સાજું થાય પણ ખરું.
9 Have you forgotten the sins of your fathers, and the sins of the kings of Juda, and the sins of your princes, and the sins of your wives, which they wrought in the land of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
૯બાબિલના ઘા રૂઝવવા અમારાથી શક્ય તેટલો પ્રયત્ન અમે કર્યો, પરંતુ તે સ્વસ્થ ન થયું. તેને છોડી દો, ચાલો આપણે સહુ પોતપોતાના દેશમાં પાછા ફરીએ, કેમ કે તેનું શાસન આકાશ સુધી પહોંચ્યું છે. તે ગગન સુધી ઊંચું ચઢ્યું છે.
10 And have not ceased even to this day, and they have not kept to my ordinances, which I set before their fathers.
૧૦યહોવાહે કહ્યું કે આપણે ન્યાયી છીએ. ચાલો, આપણા યહોવાહે ઈશ્વર જે સર્વ કર્યું છે તે આપણે સિયોનમાં જઈને કહી સંભળાવીએ.
11 Therefore thus says the Lord; Behold I do set my face against [you]
૧૧તમારાં બાણને ધારદાર બનાવો. તમારાં ભાથાં ભરી લો! ઢાલ ઊંચી કરો! કેમ કે બાબિલ પર ચઢાઈ કરી તેનો વિનાશ કરવા યહોવાહે માદીઓના રાજાઓને કહ્યું છે, કેમ કે બાબિલનો નાશ કરવાનો તેનો સંકલ્પ છે, અનિષ્ટ આચરણ કરનાર મંદિરને અપવિત્ર કરનાર લોકો પર આ રીતે યહોવાહ વૈર વાળી રહ્યાં છે.
12 to destroy all the remnant that are in Egypt; and they shall fall by the sword, and by famine, and shall be consumed small and great: and they shall be for reproach, and for destruction, and for a curse.
૧૨બાબિલની દીવાલો પર આક્રમણ કરવા માટે ઝંડો ઊંચો કરો, સંરક્ષણ મજબૂત કરો. અને ચોકીદારોને શહેરની આસપાસ ગોઠવો; ઓચિંતો છાપો મારવા માટે છુપાઈ રહો, કેમ કે યહોવાહે જે કહ્યું છે તે સર્વ તે સંપૂર્ણ કરશે.
13 And I will visit them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have visited Jerusalem, with sword and with famine:
૧૩તમે બાબિલની નદીઓને કાંઠે વસવાટ કરો અને તેની વિપુલ સમૃદ્ધિને માણો. તારો અંત આવ્યો છે; તારી જીવનદોરી કપાઇ જશે.
14 and there shall not one be preserved of the remnant of Juda that sojourn in the land of Egypt, to return to the land of Juda, to which they hope in their hearts to return: they shall not return, but only they that escape.
૧૪સૈન્યોના યહોવાહે પોતાના નામના સમ ખાઈને પ્રતિજ્ઞા કરી છે કે, “હું તીડોનાં ટોળાંની જેમ ગણ્યા ગણાય નહિ તેટલાં માણસોને તારી સામે લાવીશ અને તેઓ તારો પરાજય કરી વિજયનાદ કરશે.
15 Then all the men that knew that their wives burnt incense, and all the women, a great multitude, and all the people that lived in the land of Egypt, in Pathura, answered Jeremias, saying,
૧૫યહોવાહે પોતાની બળ અને બુદ્ધિથી પૃથ્વીનું સર્જન કર્યું છે, પોતાના ડહાપણથી તેને સ્થિર કરીને સ્થાપી છે અને પોતાના કૌશલથી આકાશને વિસ્તાર્યું છે.
16 [As for] the word which you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you.
૧૬જ્યારે તે બોલે છે, ત્યારે આકાશમાં ગર્જના થાય છે. દુનિયાના દૂર દૂરના ખૂણેથી તે વાદળોને ઉપર ચઢાવે છે. તે વરસાદ લાવે છે અને સાથે વીજળી ચમકાવે છે. અને પવનને મોકલે છે.
17 For we will surely perform every word that shall proceed out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour drink-offerings to her, as we and our fathers have done, and our kings and princes, in the cities of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem: and [so] we were filled with bread, and were well, and saw no evils.
૧૭તેમની સરખામણીમાં સર્વ માણસો પશુ સમાન છે, તેઓ અજ્ઞાન છ; દરેક સોની પોતે બનાવેલી મૂર્તિ જોઈને લજ્જિત થાય છે, કેમ કે તે બધી મૂર્તિઓ તો ખોટી છે; પ્રાણ વગરની છે.
18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, we have all been brought low, and have been consumed by sword and by famine.
૧૮મૂર્તિઓ વ્યર્થ છે, હાંસીપાત્ર છે, તે ખોટી છે; તેઓને સજા કરશે ત્યારે તે સર્વનો નાશ કરશે.
19 And whereas we burnt incense to the queen of heaven, and poured drink-offerings to her, did we make cakes to her, and pour drink-offerings to her, without our husbands?
૧૯પરંતુ યાકૂબના ઈશ્વર એવા નથી, તે તો સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિના સર્જક છે. અને ઇઝરાયલીઓને તે પોતાની વારસા કુળ તરીકે ગણે છે, તેમનું નામ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ છે.
20 Then Jeremias answered all the people, the mighty men, and the women, and all the people that returned him [these] words for answer, saying,
૨૦યહોવાહ કહે છે, “હે બાબિલ નગરી, તું મારી ફરશી તથા યુદ્ધશસ્ત્રો છે. તારા વડે હું સર્વ પ્રજાઓનું ખંડન કરીશ. અને તારા વડે હું રાજ્યોનો નાશ કરીશ.
21 Did not the Lord remember the incense which you burnt in the cities of Juda, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you, and your fathers, and your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land? and came it not into his heart?
૨૧તારા વડે હું સૈન્યોને, ઘોડા તથા તેના સવારોને અને રથ તથા રથસવારોને કચડી નાખીશ.
22 And the Lord could no longer bear [you], because of the wickedness of your doings, and because of your abominations which you wrought; and so your land became a desolation and a waste, and a curse, as at this day;
૨૨તારાથી હું પુરુષ તથા સ્ત્રીનું ખંડન કરીશ. તારાથી વૃદ્ધો તથા જુવાનોને નષ્ટ કરીશ. તારાથી હું છોકરાઓ તથા કન્યાઓનું ખંડન કરીશ.
23 because of your burning incense, and [because] of the things wherein you sinned against the Lord: and you have not listened to the voice of the Lord, and have not walked in his ordinances, and in his law, and in his testimonies; and so these evils have come upon you.
૨૩ઘેટાંપાળકોને તથા ઘેટાબકરાનાં ટોળાંને, ખેડૂતોને તથા બળદોને, રાજકર્તાઓને તથા અધિકારીઓને હું કચડી નાખીશ.
24 And Jeremias said to the people, and to the women, Hear you the word of the Lord.
૨૪બાબિલને તથા ખાલદીઓના બધા લોકોને, તેઓએ સિયોનમાં આચરેલા કુકમોર્ને લીધે હું સજા કરીશ. તે હું તમારી નજર સામે જ કરીશ.” એવું યહોવાહ કહે છે.
25 Thus has the Lord God of Israel said; You women have spoken with your mouth, and you fulfilled [it] with your hands, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour drink-offerings to her: full well did you keep to your vows, and you have indeed performed [them].
૨૫યહોવાહ કહે છે, જુઓ, હે બળવાન પર્વત બાબિલ, પૃથ્વીનો નાશ કરનાર, હું તારી વિરુદ્ધ મારો હાથ ઉગામીશ અને તારી ઊંચાઇઓ પરથી તને નીચે ગબડાવીશ. અને અગ્નિથી ભસ્મ થયેલા પર્વત જેવો કરી તને છોડી દઈશ.
26 Therefore hear you the word of the Lord, all Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the Lord, my name shall no longer be in the mouth of every Jew to say, The Lord lives, in all the land of Egypt.
૨૬તારો કોઈ પણ પથ્થર બાંધકામ માટે કે પાયાના પથ્થર તરીકે પણ નહિ વપરાય. તું સદાને માટે ખંડેર રહેશે.” એવું યહોવાહ કહે છે.
27 For I have watched over them, to hurt them, and not to do them good: and all the Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt shall perish by sword and by famine, until they are utterly consumed.
૨૭પૃથ્વી પર ઝંડો ફરકાવો, બધી પ્રજાઓમાં રણશિંગડા ફૂંકાવો, વિદેશીઓને સજ્જ કરો. અરારાટ, મિન્ની અને આશ્કેનાઝના રાજ્યોને તેની સામે લડવા બોલાવો, તેની સામે હુમલો કરવાને સેનાપતિ નીમો. તીડોનાં ટોળાંની જેમ ઘોડેસવારોને ભેગા કરો.
28 And they that escape the sword shall return to the land of Juda few in number, and the remnant of Juda, who have continued in the land [of] Egypt to dwell there, shall know whose word shall stand.
૨૮તેની વિરુદ્ધ, માદીઓના રાજાઓ વિરુદ્ધ અને તેના રાજકર્તાઓ અને અમલદારો સાથે તે સર્વ દેશોના લોકો જે તે તેના રાજ્યનો ભાગ છે તેઓની વિરુદ્ધ લડાઇને માટે તૈયારી કરો.
29 And this [shall be] a sign to you, that I will visit you for evil.
૨૯દેશ ધ્રૂજી ઊઠે છે અને પીડાય છે, કેમ કે બાબિલ વિરુદ્ધ યહોવાહનો સંકલ્પ દૃઢ છે. યહોવાહ બાબિલને નિર્જન વગડો બનાવવાની તેમની પોતાની યોજના પાર પાડે છે.
30 Thus said the Lord; Behold, I [will] give Uaphres king of Egypt into the hands of his enemy, and into the hands of one that seeks his life; as I gave Sedekias king of Juda into the hands of Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, his enemy, and who sought his life.
૩૦બાબિલના અતિ પરાક્રમી યોદ્ધાઓ હવે યુદ્ધ કરતા નથી. તેઓ કિલ્લાઓમાં ભરાઈ ગયા છે, તેઓ હિંમત હારી ગયા છે. અને સ્ત્રીઓ જેવા થઈ ગયા છે. આક્રમણ કરનારાઓએ તેઓનાં ઘરો બાળી નાખ્યાં છે અને નગરના દરવાજાઓ તોડી નાખ્યા છે.
31 THE WORD WHICH JEREMIAS THE PROPHET spoke to Baruch son of Nerias, when he wrote these words in the book from the mouth of Jeremias, in the fourth year of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda.
૩૧આખું શહેર કબજે થઈ ગયું છે તેવું કહેવાને ચારેબાજુથી સંદેશાવાહકો એક પાછળ એક બાબિલના રાજા પાસે દોડી આવ્યા છે.
32 Thus has the Lord said to you, O Baruch.
૩૨નદી પાર કરવાના દરેક રસ્તાઓ કબજે કરાયા છે. બરુની ઝાડીઓને આગ લગાડવામાં આવી છે, અને સૈનિકો ગભરાઈ ગયા છે.
33 Whereas you have said, Alas! alas! for the Lord has laid a grievous trouble upon me; I lay down in groaning, I found no rest;
૩૩સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ, ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર, કહે છે કે;’ બાબિલની સ્થિતિ તો ઘઉં ઝૂડવાની ખળી જેવી છે જ્યાં ઘઉં ઝૂડવાના છે. થોડી વાર પછી ત્યાં લણણીની ઊપજને ધોકાવાનું શરૂ થશે.
34 say you to him, Thus says the Lord; Behold, I pull down those whom I have built up, and I pluck up those whom I have planted.
૩૪યરુશાલેમ કહે છે, ‘બાબિલનો રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર મને ખાઈ ગયો છે તેણે મને ચૂસી લીધું છે, તેણે મને ખાલી પ્યાલાની જેમ એક બાજુએ ફગાવી દીધું છે. તે મને એક અજગરની જેમ આખે આખું ગળી ગયો છે, અમારી સંપત્તિથી તેણે પોતાનું પેટ ભર્યું છે અને અમારા પોતાના શહેરમાંથી અમને નસાડી મૂક્યા છે.’
35 And will you seek great things for yourself? seek [them] not: for, behold, I bring evil upon all flesh, says the Lord: but I will give [to you] your life for a spoil in every place whither you shall go.
૩૫સિયોનના લોકો બોલી ઊઠશે, “અમારી પર કરેલાં દુષ્કૃત્યો બદલ બાબિલને સજા મળો! યરુશાલેમ કહેશે કે, અમારું જે લોહી વહેવડાવવામાં આવ્યું છે તેની પૂરી કિંમત ખાલદીઓને ચૂકવવા દો!”
૩૬આથી યહોવાહ પોતાના લોકોને કહે છે, હું તમારો પક્ષ લઈશ અને તમારું વૈર વાળીશ. હું બાબિલની નદીને સૂકવી નાખીશ અને તેના ઝરણાને વહેતું બંધ કરી દઈશ.
૩૭અને બાબિલના ઢગલા થશે. તે શિયાળવાંની બોડ થશે. તે વસ્તીહીન થઈને વિસ્મય તથા હાંસી ઉપજાવે તેવું થશે.
૩૮બાબિલવાસીઓ બધા ભેગા થઈને જુવાન સિંહની જેમ ગર્જના કરે છે. સિંહના બચ્ચાની જેમ ઘૂરકાટ કરે છે.
૩૯જ્યારે તેઓ તપી જઈને મસ્ત બનશે ત્યારે હું તેઓને માટે ઉજાણી કરીશ, જેમાં તેઓ મોજ કરે અને સદાની નિદ્રામાં પડે. તેઓ સદાને માટે ઊંઘી જશે અને ફરીથી કદી જાગશે નહિ, માટે હું તેઓને મગ્ન કરીશ એવું યહોવાહ કહે છે.
૪૦હું તેઓને હલવાનોની જેમ બકરાંસહિત ઘેટાંઓની જેમ કતલખાનામાં લઈ જઈશ.
૪૧શેશાખને કેવો જીતી લેવામાં આવ્યો છે! આખી પૃથ્વીમાં પ્રશસિત થયેલો તે કેવો પકડાયો છે! બાબિલ અન્ય પ્રજાઓમાં કેવો ઉજ્જડ થયો છે!
૪૨બાબિલ પર સમુદ્ર ફરી વળ્યો છે. તેનાં મોજાઓએ તેને ઢાંકી દીધું છે.
૪૩તેના નગરો ખંડેર સ્થિતિમાં પડ્યાં છે. સમગ્ર દેશ સૂકા અરણ્ય સમાન થઈ ગયો છે. ત્યાં કોઈ રહેતું નથી અને તેમાં થઈને કોઈ મનુષ્ય પણ પસાર થતા નથી.
૪૪યહોવાહ કહે છે, “હું બાબિલમાં બેલને સજા કરીશ અને તે જે ગળી ગયો છે તે તેના મુખમાંથી પાછું કાઢીશ. પ્રજાઓ તેની પાસે આવશે નહિ અને તેની પૂજા કરશે નહિ. અને બાબિલની ફરતે આવેલી દીવાલો પડી જશે.
૪૫ઓ મારી પ્રજા, બાબિલમાંથી નાસી જાઓ; યહોવાહના ભયંકર રોષમાંથી સૌ પોતપોતાના જીવ બચાવો.
૪૬હિંમત હારશો નહિ, દેશમાં ફેલાતી અફવાઓથી ગભરાઈ જશો નહિ, એક વર્ષે એક અફવા ફેલાય છે, અને બીજે વર્ષે બીજી ફેલાઈ છે. દેશમાં બધે આંતરિક યુદ્ધો અને જુલમ ચાલી રહ્યા છે.
૪૭તેથી, જુઓ એવા દિવસો આવી રહ્યા છે, કે જ્યારે બાબિલની મૂર્તિઓને હું સજા કરનાર છું. આખો દેશ લજ્જિત થશે, અને તેના બધા માણસો કપાઇને પડ્યા હશે.
૪૮ત્યારે આકાશ અને પૃથ્વી તેમ જ તેમાંનું સર્વ બાબિલના પતનથી હર્ષના પોકારો કરશે. એવું યહોવાહ કહે છે. ઉત્તરમાંથી લોકો આવીને તેનો નાશ કરશે,
૪૯“બાબિલે જેમ ઇઝરાયલના કતલ થયેલાઓને પાડ્યા છે. તેમ બાબિલના કતલ થયેલાઓને તેઓએ પાડ્યા છે.
૫૦તમે જેઓ તેની તલવારનો ભોગ બનતા બચી ગયા છો, તે નાસી જાઓ રોકાશો નહિ દૂર દેશમાં, યહોવાહને સંભારજો અને યરુશાલેમને ભૂલશો નહિ.”
૫૧અમે નિંદા સાંભળી છે. તેથી અમે લજ્જિત થયા છીએ, કેમ કે, પરદેશીઓ યહોવાહના ઘરમાં પેસી ગયા છે.
૫૨તેથી યહોવાહ કહે છે, જુઓ, એવો સમય આવી રહ્યો છે કે જ્યારે હું બાબિલની મૂર્તિઓને સજા કરીશ અને સમગ્ર દેશમાં ઘાયલ થયેલા માણસો નિસાસા નાખશે.
૫૩જો કે બાબિલ આકાશે પહોંચે તોપણ અને તે પોતાના ઊંચા કોટોની કિલ્લેબંધી કરે તોપણ મારી પાસેથી તેના પર વિનાશક આવશે.’ એવું યહોવાહ કહે છે.
૫૪બાબિલમાંથી આવતા રુદનનાસ્વર અને જ્યાં ખાલદીઓ શાસન કરે છે ત્યાંથી આવતા ભયંકર વિનાશના અવાજો સંભળાય છે.
૫૫યહોવાહ બાબિલનો વિનાશ કરી રહ્યા છે. અને તેના કોલાહલને શમાવી રહ્યા છે. શત્રુઓનું સૈન્ય મહાસાગરના તરંગોની જેમ ગર્જના અને ઘૂઘવાટા કરતું ધસી રહ્યું છે.
૫૬કેમ કે તેના પર એટલે બાબિલ પર વિનાશક આવી પહોંચ્યો છે. તેના યોદ્ધાઓ કેદ પકડાયા છે અને તેઓનાં ધનુષ્ય તોડી પડાયાં છે, કેમ કે યહોવાહ તો પ્રતિફળ આપનારા ઈશ્વર છે.; તે નિશ્ચે બદલો લેશે.
૫૭સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે, આ રાજાનો હુકુમ છે “હું તેના સરદારોને, જ્ઞાની માણસોને, રાજકર્તાઓને, અધિકારીઓને તથા શૂરવીર યોદ્ધાઓને ચકચૂર કરીશ, તેઓ અનંત નિદ્રામાં પોઢી જશે, ફરી કદી જાગશે જ નહિ.
૫૮સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે, બાબિલની મજબૂત દીવાલો ભોંયભેગી થઈ જશે, તેના ઊંચા દરવાજાને આગ ચાંપવામાં આવશે, જે બાંધવા માટે ઘણા લોકોએ પોતાની જાતને ઘસી નાખી હતી તે બધું ભસ્મ થઈ જશે, લોકોએ કરેલી બધી મહેનત ધૂળમાં મળી જશે.”
૫૯યહૂદિયાના રાજા સિદકિયાના શાસનના ચોથા વર્ષમાં જ્યારે તેની સાથે યહૂદિયાના રાજા માસેયાના દીકરા નેરિયાનો દીકરા સરાયા બાબિલ ગયો, ત્યારે જે સૂચનાઓ યર્મિયા પ્રબોધકે સરાયાને આપી તે આ છે. સરાયા તો લશ્કરનો મુખ્ય અધિકારી હતો.
૬૦યર્મિયાએ એક પુસ્તકમાં બાબિલ પર આવનારી આફતનું પૂરું વર્ણન અહીં જે બધું નોંધવામાં આવેલું છે તે લખી કાઢયું હતું.
૬૧યર્મિયાએ સરાયાને કહ્યું, જ્યારે તું બાબિલ પહોંચે ત્યારે આમાંના શબ્દે શબ્દ અચૂક વાંચી સંભળાવજે.
૬૨અને કહેજે કે, હે યહોવાહ, તમે જાતે જાહેર કર્યું છે કે, આ જગ્યાનો નાશ કરવામાં આવશે, અહીં ફરી કોઈ વાસો કરશે નહિ. માણસ કે પશુ કોઈ નહિ. તે સદાકાળ ઉજ્જડ રહેશે.’”
૬૩જ્યારે તું આ પુસ્તક વાંચી રહે ત્યારે તેને પથ્થરો બાંધીને ફ્રાત નદીની વચ્ચોવચ્ચ નાખી દેજે.
૬૪અને કહે જે કે, આવા જ હાલ બાબિલના થશે, યહોવાહ બાબિલ પર એવી આફત લાવનાર છે જેથી તે ડૂબી જાય અને ફરી કદી ઉપર આવે નહિ.’ અહીં યર્મિયાનાં વચન પૂરાં થાય છે.
