Jeremias 31
1 Thus has the Lord said concerning MOAB, Woe to Nabau! for it has perished: Cariathaim is taken: Amath and Agath are put to shame.
൧“ആ കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലവംശങ്ങൾക്കും ദൈവമായും അവർ എനിക്ക് ജനമായും ഇരിക്കും” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
2 There is no longer any healing for Moab, [nor] glorying in Esebon: he has devised evils against her: we have cut her off from [being] a nation, and she shall be completely still: after you shall go a sword;
൨യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “വാളിൽനിന്ന് രക്ഷപെട്ട് ശേഷിച്ച ജനം മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കൃപ കണ്ടെത്തി; ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന് വിശ്രാമം വരുത്തുവാൻ പോകുന്നു”.
3 for [there is] a voice of [men] crying out of Oronaim, destruction and great ruin.
൩യഹോവ ദൂരത്തുനിന്ന് എനിക്ക് പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത്: “നിത്യസ്നേഹംകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് ദയ ദീർഘമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
4 Moab is ruined, proclaim [it] to Zogora:
൪യിസ്രായേൽകന്യകേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വീണ്ടും പണിയുകയും നീ പണിയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും; നീ വീണ്ടും തപ്പ് എടുത്തുകൊണ്ട് സന്തോഷിച്ച്, നൃത്തംചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ നിരയിൽ പുറപ്പെടും.
5 for Aloth is filled with weeping: one shall go up weeping by the way of Oronaim; you have heard a cry of destruction.
൫നീ ഇനിയും ശമര്യപർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കും; കൃഷിക്കാർ കൃഷിചെയ്ത് ഫലം അനുഭവിക്കും.
6 Flee you, and save your lives, and you shall be as a wild ass in the desert.
൬‘എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുവിൻ; നാം സീയോനിലേക്ക്, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക്, കയറിപ്പോകുക’ എന്ന് കാവല്ക്കാർ എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്ന കാലം വരും.
7 Since you have trusted in your strong-hold, therefore you shall be taken: and Chamos shall go forth into captivity, and his priests, and his princes together.
൭യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “യാക്കോബിന് സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ പാടുവിൻ! ജനതകളുടെ തലവനെക്കുറിച്ച് സന്തോഷിച്ച് ആർപ്പിടുവിൻ! ഘോഷിച്ചും സ്തുതിച്ചുംകൊണ്ട്: യഹോവേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പായ അവിടുത്തെ ജനത്തെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ എന്നു പറയുവിൻ!
8 And destruction shall come upon every city, it shall by no means escape; the valley also shall perish, and the plain country shall be completely destroyed, as the Lord has said.
൮ഞാൻ അവരെ വടക്കുദേശത്തുനിന്ന് വരുത്തുകയും ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് അവരെയും അവരോടുകൂടി കുരുടനെയും മുടന്തനെയും ഗർഭിണിയെയും നോവുകിട്ടിയവളെയും എല്ലാം ശേഖരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; അങ്ങനെ വലിയ ഒരു സംഘം ഇവിടേക്ക് മടങ്ങിവരും.
9 Set marks upon Moab, for she shall be touched with a plague-spot, and all her cities shall become desolate; whence [shall there be] an inhabitant for her?
൯അവർ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് വരും; യാചനയോടെ ഞാൻ അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവരും; ഇടറിപ്പോകാത്ത നിരപ്പുള്ള വഴിയിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ നദികൾക്കരികിലൂടെ നടത്തും; ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന് പിതാവും, എഫ്രയീം എന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനുമല്ലയോ.
10 Cursed is the man that does the works of the Lord carelessly, keeping back his sword from blood.
൧൦ജനതകളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കുവിൻ! ദൂരത്തുള്ള ദ്വീപുകളിൽ അതിനെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുവിൻ! യിസ്രായേലിനെ ചിതറിച്ചവൻ അവനെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്ത്, ഒരിടയൻ തന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തെ പാലിക്കുന്നപോലെ അവനെ പാലിക്കും” എന്ന് പറയുവിൻ.
11 Moab has been at ease from a child, and trusted in his glory; he has not poured out [his liquor] from vessel to vessel, and has not gone into banishment, therefore his taste remained in him, and his smell departed not.
൧൧“യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത് അവനെക്കാൾ ബലവാനായവന്റെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് അവനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
12 Therefore, behold, his days come, says the Lord, when I shall send upon him bad leaders, and they shall lead him astray, and they shall utterly break in pieces his possessions, and shall cut his horns asunder.
൧൨അവർ വന്ന് സീയോൻമുകളിൽ കയറി ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കും; ധാന്യം, വീഞ്ഞ്, എണ്ണ, കുഞ്ഞാടുകൾ, കാളക്കുട്ടികൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവ നൽകുന്ന നന്മയിലേക്ക് ഓടിവരും; അവരുടെ പ്രാണൻ നനയ്ക്കപ്പെടുന്ന തോട്ടം പോലെയാകും; അവർ ഇനി ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോകുകയും ഇല്ല.
13 And Moab shall be ashamed of Chamos, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Baethel their hope, having trusted in them.
൧൩അന്ന് കന്യകയും യൗവനക്കാരും വൃദ്ധന്മാരും ഒരുപോലെ നൃത്തംചെയ്ത് സന്തോഷിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ദുഃഖം മാറ്റി സന്തോഷമാക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ച് സങ്കടം നീക്കി സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കും.
14 How will you say, We are strong, and men strong for war?
൧൪ഞാൻ പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ പ്രാണനെ പുഷ്ടികൊണ്ട് തണുപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ ജനം എന്റെ നന്മകൊണ്ട് തൃപ്തി പ്രാപിക്കും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
15 Moab is ruined, [even] his city, and his choice young men have gone down to slaughter.
൧൫യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “രാമയിൽ ഒരു ശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നു! വിലാപവും കഠിനമായുള്ള കരച്ചിലും തന്നെ; റാഹേൽ തന്റെ മക്കളെച്ചൊല്ലി കരയുന്നു; അവർ ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ അവരെച്ചൊല്ലി ആശ്വാസം പ്രാപിക്കുവാൻ അവൾക്കു മനസ്സില്ല”.
16 The day of Moab is near at hand, and his iniquity moves swiftly [to vengeance].
൧൬യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “കരയാതെ നിന്റെ ശബ്ദവും കണ്ണുനീർ വാർക്കാതെ നിന്റെ കണ്ണും അടക്കിക്കൊള്ളുക; നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു പ്രതിഫലമുണ്ടാകും; അവർ ശത്രുവിന്റെ ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് മടങ്ങിവരും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
17 Shake [the head] at him, all you that are round about him; all [of you] utter his name; say you, How is the glorious staff broken to pieces, the rod of magnificence!
൧൭“നിന്റെ ഭാവിയെക്കുറിച്ച് പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ട്; നിന്റെ മക്കൾ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്ക് മടങ്ങിവരും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
18 Come down from [your] glory, and sit down in a damp place: Daebon shall be broken, because Moab is destroyed: there has gone up against you one to ravage your strong-hold.
൧൮“അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചു; മരുക്കമില്ലാത്ത കാളക്കുട്ടിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ശിക്ഷയനുഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ മടങ്ങി വരേണ്ടതിന് എന്നെ മടക്കിവരുത്തണമേ; അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയല്ലയോ.
19 Stand by the way, and look, you that dwell in Arer; and ask him that is fleeing, and him that escapes, and say, What has happened?
൧൯ഞാൻ തെറ്റിപ്പോയശേഷം അനുതപിച്ചും ഉപദേശം ലഭിച്ചശേഷം മാര്‍വില്‍ അടിച്ച് നാണിച്ചും ലജ്ജിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ യൗവനത്തിലെ നിന്ദയല്ലയോ ഞാൻ വഹിക്കുന്നത്” എന്ന് എഫ്രയീം വിലപിക്കുന്നത് ഞാൻ നല്ലവണ്ണം കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 Moab is put to shame, because he is broken: howl and cry; proclaim in Arnon, that Moab has perished.
൨൦“എഫ്രയീം എന്റെ വാത്സല്യപുത്രനോ? ഓമനക്കുട്ടിയോ? ഞാൻ അവന് വിരോധമായി സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ ഓർക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം അവനെച്ചൊല്ലി ഉരുകുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവനോട് കരുണ കാണിക്കും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
21 And judgement is coming against the land of Misor, upon Chelon, and Rephas, and Mophas,
൨൧“നിനക്ക് അടയാളങ്ങൾ വെക്കുക; കൈചൂണ്ടികൾ നാട്ടുക; നീ പോയ പെരുവഴി മനസ്സിൽ വച്ചുകൊള്ളുക; യിസ്രായേൽകന്യകേ, മടങ്ങിവരുക; നിന്റെ ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലേക്ക് തന്നെ മടങ്ങിവരുക.
22 and upon Daebon, and upon Nabau, and upon the house of Daethlathaim,
൨൨വിശ്വാസത്യാഗിനിയായ മകളേ! നീ എത്രത്തോളം അലഞ്ഞുനടക്കും? യഹോവ ദേശത്ത് ഒരു പുതുമ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു: ഒരു സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനെ വലയം ചെയ്തു പരിപാലിക്കും”.
23 and upon Cariathaim, and upon the house of Gaemol, and upon the house of Maon,
൨൩യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തുമ്പോൾ അവർ ഇനിയും യെഹൂദാ ദേശത്തും അതിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും, ‘നീതി നിവാസമേ, വിശുദ്ധപർവ്വതമേ, യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ’ എന്ന വാക്കുകൾ പറയും.
24 and upon Carioth, and upon Bosor, and upon all the cities of Moab, far and near.
൨൪അതിൽ യെഹൂദയും അതിന്റെ സകല നഗരവാസികളും കൃഷിക്കാരും ആട്ടിൻകൂട്ടങ്ങളോടുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവരും ഒരുമിച്ച് വസിക്കും.
25 The horn of Moab is broken, and his arm is crushed.
൨൫ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവനെ ഞാൻ തണുപ്പിക്കും; വിശന്നു ക്ഷീണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ഞാൻ തൃപ്തി വരുത്തും.
26 Make you him drunk; for he has magnified himself against the Lord: and Moab shall clap with his hand, and shall be also himself a laughing stock.
൨൬ഈ സമയത്ത് ഞാൻ ഉണർന്നു; എന്റെ നിദ്ര എനിക്ക് സുഖകരമായിരുന്നു എന്നു കണ്ടു.
27 For surely Israel was to you a laughing stock, and was found amongst your thefts, because you did fight against him.
൨൭ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിലും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിലും മനുഷ്യരുടെയും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെയും വിത്ത് വിതയ്ക്കുന്ന കാലം വരും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
28 The inhabitants of Moab have left the cities, and lived in rocks; they have become as doves nestling in rocks, at the mouth of a cave.
൨൮“അന്ന് ഞാൻ പറിച്ചെടുക്കുവാനും പൊളിക്കുവാനും ഇടിക്കുവാനും നശിപ്പിക്കുവാനും കഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുവാനും അവരുടെ മേൽ ജാഗരിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ, പണിയുവാനും നടുവാനും അവരുടെ മേൽ ജാഗരിച്ചിരിക്കും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
29 And I have heard of the pride of Moab, he has greatly heightened his pride and his haughtiness, and his heart has been lifted up.
൨൯“അപ്പന്മാർ പച്ചമുന്തിരിങ്ങാ തിന്നു; മക്കളുടെ പല്ലു പുളിച്ചു” എന്ന് അവർ ആ നാളിൽ ഇനി പറയുകയില്ല.
30 But I know his works: is it not enough for him? has he not done thus?
൩൦ഓരോരുത്തൻ അവനവന്റെ അകൃത്യം നിമിത്തമത്രേ മരിക്കുന്നത്; പച്ചമുന്തിരിങ്ങാ അവനവന്റെ പല്ലി മാത്രമേ പുളിക്കുകയുള്ളു.
31 Therefore howl you for Moab on all sides; cry out against the shorn men [in] a gloomy place. I will weep for you,
൩൧“ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹത്തോടും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തോടും പുതിയൊരു നിയമം ചെയ്യുന്ന കാലം വരും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
32 O vine of Aserema, as with the weeping of Jazer: your branches are gone over the sea, they reached the cities of Jazer: destruction has come upon your fruits, [and] upon your grape gatherers.
൩൨“ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പൂര്‍വ്വ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ കൈക്കു പിടിച്ച് ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാളിൽ ഞാൻ അവരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമംപോലെയല്ല; ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് ഭർത്താവായിരുന്നിട്ടും അവർ എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
33 Joy and gladness have been utterly swept off the land of Moab: and [though] there was wine in your presses, in the morning they trod it not, neither in the evening did they raise the cry of joy.
൩൩“എന്നാൽ ഈ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹത്തോട് ചെയ്യുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമം ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു: ഞാൻ എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിലാക്കി അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽ എഴുതും; ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് ദൈവമായും അവർ എനിക്ക് ജനമായും ഇരിക്കും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
34 From the cry of Esebon even to Aetam their cities uttered their voice, from Zogor to Oronaim, and their tidings [as] a heifer of three years old, for the water also of Nebrin shall be dried up.
൩൪“ഇനി അവരിൽ ആരും തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെയും തന്റെ സഹോദരനെയും ‘യഹോവയെ അറിയുക’ എന്ന് ഉപദേശിക്കുകയില്ല; അവർ ആബാലവൃദ്ധം എല്ലാവരും എന്നെ അറിയും; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം മോചിക്കും; അവരുടെ പാപം ഇനി ഓർക്കുകയും ഇല്ല” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
35 And I will destroy Moab, says the Lord, as he comes up to the altar, and burns incense to his gods.
൩൫സൂര്യനെ പകൽ വെളിച്ചത്തിനും ചന്ദ്രന്റെയും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെയും വ്യവസ്ഥയെ രാത്രി വെളിച്ചത്തിനും നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവനും കടലിലെ തിരകൾ അലറുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അതിനെ ഇളക്കുന്നവനും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നു നാമമുള്ളവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:
36 Therefore the heart of Moab shall sound as pipes, my heart shall sound as a pipe for the shorn men; forasmuch as what [every] man has gained has perished from him.
൩൬“ഈ വ്യവസ്ഥ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു മാറിപ്പോകുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, യിസ്രായേൽസന്തതിയും സദാകാലം എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഒരു ജനതയാകാത്തവണ്ണം ഒടുങ്ങിപ്പോകും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
37 They shall all have their heads shaved in every place, and every beard shall be shaved; and all hands shall beat [the breasts], and on all loins shall be sackcloth.
൩൭യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “മീതെ ആകാശത്തെ അളക്കുവാനും താഴെ ഭൂമിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ പരിശോധിക്കുവാനും കഴിയുമെങ്കിൽ, ഞാനും യിസ്രായേൽസന്തതിയെ മുഴുവനും അവർ ചെയ്ത സകലവും നിമിത്തം തള്ളിക്കളയും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
38 And on all the housetops of Moab, and in his streets [shall be mourning]: for I have broken [him], says the Lord, as a vessel, which is useless.
൩൮“ഈ നഗരം ഹനനേൽ ഗോപുരംമുതൽ കോൺവാതിൽവരെ യഹോവയ്ക്കായി പണിയുവാനുള്ള കാലം വരും” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
39 How has he changed! how has Moab turned [his] back! Moab is put to shame, and become a laughing stock, and an object of anger to all that are round about him.
൩൯“അളവുചരട് പിന്നെയും നേരെ ഗാരേബ് കുന്നിലേക്ക് ചെന്ന് ഗോവഹിലേക്കു തിരിയും.
40 For thus said the Lord;
൪൦ശവങ്ങൾക്കും വെണ്ണീറിനും ഉള്ള താഴ്വര മുഴുവനും കിദ്രോൻ തോടുവരെയും കിഴക്കോട്ട് കുതിരവാതിലിന്റെ കോണുവരെയും ഉള്ള നിലങ്ങൾ മുഴുവനും യഹോവയ്ക്ക് വിശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും; അതിനെ ഇനി ഒരുനാളും പറിച്ചുകളയുകയില്ല; ഇടിച്ചുകളയുകയുമില്ല.
41 Carioth is taken, and the strongholds have been taken together.

42 And Moab shall perish from being a multitude, because he has magnified himself against the Lord.

43 A snare, and fear, and the pit, are upon you, O inhabitant of Moab.
൪൩
44 He that flees from the terror shall fall into the pit, and he that comes up out of the pit shall even be taken in the snare: for I will bring these things upon Moab in the year of their visitation.
