Esias 50
1 Thus says the Lord, Of what kind is your mother's bill of divorcement, by which I put her away? or to which debtor have I sold you? Behold, you are sold for your sins, and for your iniquities have I put your mother away.
So spricht Jehova: Wo ist der Scheidebrief eurer Mutter, mit dem ich sie entließ? Oder welchem von meinen Gläubigern habe ich euch verkauft? Siehe, um eurer Missetaten willen seid ihr verkauft, und um eurer Übertretungen willen ist eure Mutter entlassen.
2 Why did I come, and there was no man? [why] did I call, and there was none to listen? Is not my hand strong to redeem? or can I not deliver? behold, by my rebuke I will dry up the sea, and make rivers a wilderness; and their fish shall be dried up because there is no water, and shall die for thirst.
Warum bin ich gekommen, und kein Mensch war da? Habe gerufen, und niemand antwortete? Ist meine Hand etwa zu kurz zur Erlösung? Oder ist in mir keine Kraft, um zu erretten? Siehe, durch mein Schelten trockne ich das Meer aus, mache Ströme zu einer Wüste: es stinken ihre Fische, weil kein Wasser da ist, und sie sterben vor Durst.
3 I will clothe the sky with darkness, and will make its covering as sackcloth.
Ich kleide die Himmel in Schwarz und mache Sacktuch zu ihrer Decke. -
4 The Lord [even] God gives me the tongue of instruction, to know when it is fit to speak a word: he has appointed for me early, he has given me an ear to hear:
Der Herr, Jehova, hat mir eine Zunge der Belehrten gegeben, damit ich wisse, den Müden durch ein Wort aufzurichten. Er weckt jeden Morgen, er weckt mir das Ohr, damit ich höre gleich solchen, die belehrt werden.
5 and the instruction of the Lord, even the Lord, opens mine ears, and I do not disobey, nor dispute.
Der Herr, Jehova, hat mir das Ohr geöffnet, und ich, ich bin nicht widerspenstig gewesen, bin nicht zurückgewichen.
6 I gave my back to scourges, and my cheeks to blows; and I turned not away my face from the shame of spitting:
Ich bot meinen Rücken den Schlagenden und meine Wangen den Raufenden, mein Angesicht verbarg ich nicht vor Schmach und Speichel.
7 but the Lord God became my helper; therefore I was not ashamed, but I set my face as a solid rock; and I know that I shall never be ashamed,
Aber der Herr, Jehova, hilft mir; darum bin ich nicht zu Schanden geworden, darum machte ich mein Angesicht wie einen Kieselstein, und wußte, daß ich nicht würde beschämt werden.
8 for he that has justified me draws near; who is he that pleads with me? let him stand up against me at the same time: yes, who is he that pleads with me? let him draw near to me.
Nahe ist der mich rechtfertigt: Wer will mit mir rechten? Laßt uns zusammen hintreten! Wer hat eine Rechtssache wider mich? Er trete her zu mir!
9 Behold, the Lord, the Lord, will help me; who will hurt me? behold, all you shall wax old as a garment, and a moth shall devour you.
Siehe, der Herr, Jehova, wird mir helfen: Wer ist es, der mich für schuldig erklären könnte? Siehe, allesamt werden sie zerfallen wie ein Kleid, die Motte wird sie fressen.
10 Who is amongst you that fears the Lord? let him listen to the voice of his servant: you that walk in darkness, and have no light, trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon God.
Wer unter euch fürchtet Jehova? Wer hört auf die Stimme seines Knechtes? Wer in Finsternis wandelt und welchem kein Licht glänzt, vertraue auf den Namen Jehovas und stütze sich auf seinen Gott.
11 Behold, you all kindle a fire, and feed a flame: walk in the light of your fire, and in the flame which you have kindled. This has happened to you for my sake; you shall lie down in sorrow.
Siehe, ihr alle, die ihr ein Feuer anzündet, mit Brandpfeilen euch rüstet: Hinweg in die Glut eures Feuers und in die Brandpfeile, die ihr angesteckt habt! Solches geschieht euch von meiner Hand; in Herzeleid sollt ihr daliegen.
