Esias 14
1 And the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and they shall rest on their land: and the stranger shall be added to them, yes, shall be added to the house of Jacob.
Pois Yahweh terá compaixão de Jacó, e ainda assim escolherá Israel, e os colocará em sua própria terra. O estrangeiro se unirá a eles, e eles se unirão à casa de Jacó.
2 And the Gentiles shall take them, and bring them into their place: and they shall inherit them, and they shall be multiplied upon the land for servants and handmaidens: and they that took them captives shall become captives [to them]; and they that had lordship over them shall be under [their] rule.
Os povos os levarão, e os levarão para o seu lugar. A casa de Israel os possuirá na terra de Iavé para servos e para servas. Levarão como cativos aqueles de quem foram cativos; e governarão sobre seus opressores.
3 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall give you rest from your sorrow and vexation, [and from] your hard servitude wherein you did serve them.
Acontecerá no dia em que Iavé lhe dará descanso de sua tristeza, de seus problemas e do duro serviço em que foi obrigado a servir,
4 And you shall take up this lamentation against the king of Babylon, How has the extortioner ceased, and the taskmaster ceased!
que você vai retomar esta parábola contra o rei da Babilônia e dizer: “Como o opressor cessou! A cidade dourada cessou!”
5 The Lord has broken the yoke of sinners, the yoke of princes.
Javé quebrou o bastão dos ímpios, o cetro dos governantes,
6 Having struck a nation in wrath, with an incurable plague, striking a nation with a wrathful plague, which spared [them] not, he rested in quiet.
que feriu os povos em fúria com um golpe contínuo, que governou as nações em cólera, com uma perseguição que ninguém conteve.
7 All the earth cries aloud with joy:
A terra inteira está em repouso e em silêncio. Eles se desdobram em canções.
8 the trees also of Libanus rejoice against you, and the cedar of Libanus, [saying], From the time that you have been laid low, no one has come up to cut us down.
Sim, os ciprestes se alegram com você, com os cedros do Líbano, dizendo: “Desde que você se humilhou, nenhum lenhador se levantou contra nós”.
9 Hell from beneath is provoked to meet you: all the great ones that have ruled over the earth have risen up together against you, they that have raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
O Sheol de baixo se moveu para que você se encontre com você em sua vinda. Atiça os espíritos que partiram para você, até mesmo todos os governantes da terra. Ergueu de seus tronos todos os reis das nações. (Sheol h7585)
10 All shall answer and say to you, You also have been taken, even as we; and you are numbered amongst us.
Todos eles responderão e lhe perguntarão: “Você também se tornou tão fraco quanto nós? Vocês se tornaram como nós”?
11 Your glory has come down to Hades, and your great mirth: under you they shall spread corruption, and the worm shall be your covering. (Sheol h7585)
Sua pompa é levada até o Sheol, com o som de seus instrumentos de cordas. As larvas estão espalhadas sob você, e os vermes o cobrem. (Sheol h7585)
12 How has Lucifer, that rose in the morning, fallen from heaven! He that sent [orders] to all the nations is crushed to the earth.
Como você caiu do céu, brilhante, filho do amanhecer! Como tu foste cortado no chão, que derrubaste as nações!
13 But you said in your heart, I will go up to heaven, I will set my throne above the stars of heaven: I will sit on a lofty mount, on the lofty mountains towards the north:
Você disse em seu coração: “Eu subirei ao céu! Exaltarei meu trono acima das estrelas de Deus! Sentar-me-ei na montanha da assembléia, no extremo norte!
14 I will go up above the clouds: I will be like the Most High.
Subirei acima das alturas das nuvens! Far-me-ei como o Altíssimo!”
Ainda assim, sereis levados ao inferno, às profundezas do poço. (Sheol h7585)
16 They that see you shall wonder at you, and say, This is the man that troubled the earth, that made kings to shake;
Aqueles que vos virem olharão fixamente para vós. Eles o ponderarão, dizendo: “É este o homem que fez a terra tremer, que sacudiu reinos,
17 that made the whole world desolate, and destroyed its cities; he loosed not those who were in captivity.
que fez o mundo como um deserto, e derrubou suas cidades, que não libertou seus prisioneiros para sua casa”?
18 All the kings of the nations lie in honour, [every] man in his house.
Todos os reis das nações dormem em glória, todos em sua própria casa.
19 But you shall be cast forth on the mountains, as a loathed carcase, with many dead who have been pierced with swords, going down to the grave.
Mas você é lançado fora de seu túmulo como um ramo abominável, vestido com os mortos que são empurrados através da espada, que descem às pedras do poço; como um cadáver pisado.
20 As a garment defiled with blood shall not be pure, so neither shall you be pure; because you have destroyed my land, and have slain my people: you shall not endure for ever, —[you] an evil seed.
Você não se juntará a eles no enterro, porque destruiu sua terra. Vocês mataram seu povo. A progênie dos malfeitores não será nomeada para sempre.
21 Prepare your children to be slain for the sins of their father; that they arise not, and inherit the earth, nor fill the earth with wars.
Prepare-se para o abate de seus filhos por causa da iniqüidade de seus pais, que não se levantam e possuem a terra, e enchem a superfície do mundo de cidades.
22 And I will rise up against them, says the Lord of hosts, and I will destroy their name, and remnant, and seed: thus says the Lord.
“Eu me levantarei contra eles”, diz Yahweh dos Exércitos, “e cortarei o nome da Babilônia e os restos, e filho e filho do filho”, diz Yahweh.
23 And I will make the region of Babylon desert, so that hedgehogs shall dwell [there], and it shall come to nothing: and I will make it a pit of clay for destruction.
“Também farei dela uma possessão para o porco-espinho, e piscinas de água”. Vou varrê-la com a vassoura da destruição”, diz Yahweh dos Exércitos.
24 Thus says the Lord of hosts, As I have said, so it shall be: and as I have purposed, so [the matter] shall remain:
Yahweh de Exércitos jurou, dizendo: “Certamente, como eu pensei, assim acontecerá; e como eu propus, assim será:
25 [even] to destroy the Assyrians upon my land, and upon my mountains: and they shall be for trampling; and their yoke shall be taken away from them, and their glory shall be taken away from their shoulders.
que quebrarei o assírio em minha terra, e o pisarei em minhas montanhas”. Então, seu jugo os deixará, e seu fardo deixará seus ombros.
26 This is the purpose which the Lord has purposed upon the whole earth: and this the hand that is uplifted against all the nations.
Este é o plano que é determinado para toda a terra. Esta é a mão que está estendida sobre todas as nações.
27 For what the Holy God has purposed, who shall frustrate? and who shall turn back his uplifted hand?
Pois Yahweh de Exércitos planejou, e quem pode detê-lo? Sua mão está estendida, e quem pode virá-la de volta?”.
28 In the year in which king Achaz died this word came.
Este fardo foi no ano em que o rei Ahaz morreu.
29 Rejoice not, all you Philistines, because the yoke of him that struck you is broken: for out of the seed of the serpent shall come forth the young asps, and their young shall come forth flying serpents,
Não se alegre, ó Philistia, todos vocês, porque a vara que os atingiu está quebrada; pois da raiz da serpente surgirá uma víbora, e seus frutos serão uma serpente voadora ardente.
30 And the poor shall be fed by him, and poor men shall rest in peace: but he shall destroy your seed with hunger, and shall destroy your remnant.
O primogênito dos pobres comerá, e os necessitados se deitarão em segurança; e eu matarei sua raiz com a fome, e seu remanescente será morto.
31 Howl, you gates of cities; let the cities be troubled and cry, [even] all the Philistines: for smoke is coming from the north, and there is no [possibility] of living.
Howl, gate! Chora, cidade! Vocês estão derretidos, Filístia, todos vocês; pois a fumaça sai do norte, e não há nenhum estragador em suas fileiras.
32 And what shall the kings of the nations answer? That the Lord has founded Sion, and by him the poor of the people shall be saved.
O que eles responderão aos mensageiros da nação? Que Yahweh fundou Zion, e nela os aflitos de seu povo se refugiarão.
