Osee 13

1 According to the word of Ephraim he adopted ordinances for himself in Israel; and he established them for Baal, and died.

൧എഫ്രയീം സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോൾ വിറയൽ ഉണ്ടായി; അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഉന്നതനായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ബാല്‍ മുഖാന്തരം കുറ്റം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി.

2 And now they have sinned increasingly, and have made for themselves a molten image of their silver, according to the fashion of idols, the work of artificers accomplished for them: they say, Sacrifice men, for the calves have come to an end.

൨ഇപ്പോഴോ, അവർ അധികമധികം പാപം ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവർ വെള്ളികൊണ്ട് ബിംബങ്ങളും ബോധിച്ചതുപോലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ഇവയെല്ലാം കൗശലപ്പണിക്കാരുടെ പണിയാകുന്നു; അവയോട് അവർ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; ബലികഴിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യർ കാളക്കിടാക്കളെ ചുംബിക്കുന്നു.

3 Therefore shall they be as a morning cloud, and as the early dew that passes away, as chaff blown away from the threshing floor, and as a vapour from tears.

൩അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ പ്രഭാതമേഘംപോലെയും പുലർച്ചയിൽ നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്ന മഞ്ഞുപോലെയും കളത്തിൽനിന്ന് കാറ്റ് പറപ്പിക്കുന്ന പതിർപോലെയും പുകക്കുഴലിൽനിന്നു പൊങ്ങുന്ന പുകപോലെയും ആയിരിക്കും.

4 But I am the Lord your God that establishes the heaven, and creates the earth, whose hands have framed the whole host of heaven: but I showed them not to you that you should go after them: and I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and you shall know no God but me; and there is no Saviour beside me.

൪ഞാനോ ഈജിപ്റ്റ് ദേശം മുതൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; എന്നെയല്ലാതെ വേറൊരു ദൈവത്തെ നീ അറിയുന്നില്ല;

5 I tended you as a shepherd in the wilderness, in an uninhabited land.

൫ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു രക്ഷിതാവ് ഇല്ലല്ലോ. ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ഏറ്റവും വരണ്ട ദേശത്ത് നിന്നെ മേയിച്ചു.

6 According to their pastures, so they were completely filled; and their hearts were exalted; therefore they forgot me.

൬അവർക്ക് സമൃദ്ധിയായി മേച്ചൽ ലഭിച്ചു. അവർ തൃപ്തരായപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം നിഗളിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർ എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

7 And I will be to them as a panther, and as a leopard.

൭ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് ഒരു സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കും; വഴിയരികെ ഒരു പുള്ളിപ്പുലിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ അവർക്കായി പതിയിരിക്കും;

8 I will meet them by the way of the Assyrians, as a she-bear excited, and I will rend the caul of their heart, and the lions' whelps of the thicket shall devour them there; the wild beasts of the field shall rend them in pieces.

൮കുട്ടികൾ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട കരടിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ അവരെ എതിരിട്ട് അവരുടെ മാറിടം കീറിക്കളയും; അവിടെവച്ച് ഞാൻ അവരെ ഒരു സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ തിന്നുകളയും; കാട്ടുമൃഗം അവരെ കടിച്ചുകീറും.

9 O Israel, who will aid [you] in your destruction?

൯യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്നെ ആര് സഹായിക്കും എന്നോട് നീ മത്സരിയ്ക്കുന്നത് നിന്റെ നാശത്തിനാകുന്നു.

10 Where is this your king? let him even save you in all your cities: let him judge you, of whom you said, Give me a king and a prince.

൧൦നിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ നിന്റെ രാജാവ് ഇപ്പോൾ എവിടെ? ‘ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു രാജാവിനെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും തരേണം’ എന്ന് അപേക്ഷിച്ച നിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ എവിടെ?

11 And I gave you a king in mine anger, and kept [him] back in my wrath.

൧൧എന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് ഒരു രാജാവിനെ തന്നു, എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അവനെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

12 Ephraim [has framed] a conspiracy of unrighteousness, his sin is hidden.

൧൨എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ അകൃത്യം സംഗ്രഹിച്ചും അവന്റെ പാപം സൂക്ഷിച്ചും വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13 Pains as of a woman in travail shall come upon him: he is your wise son, because he shall not stay in the destruction of [your] children.

൧൩നോവുകിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയുടെ വേദന അവന് ഉണ്ടാകും; അവൻ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മകൻ; സമയമാകുമ്പോൾ അവൻ ഗർഭദ്വാരത്തിൽ എത്തുന്നില്ല.

14 I will deliver [them] out of the power of Hades, and will redeem them from death: where is your penalty, O death? O Hades, where is your sting? comfort is hidden from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)

൧൪ഞാൻ അവരെ പാതാളത്തിന്റെ അധികാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് വീണ്ടെടുക്കും; മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ അവരെ വിടുവിക്കും; മരണമേ, നിന്റെ ബാധകൾ എവിടെ? പാതാളമേ, നിന്റെ സംഹാരം എവിടെ? എനിക്ക് സഹതാപം തോന്നുകയില്ല. (Sheol h7585)

15 Forasmuch as he will cause a division amongst [his] brethren, the Lord shall bring upon him an east wind from the desert, and shall dry up his veins [and] quite drain his fountains: he shall dry up his land, and [spoil] all his precious vessels.

൧൫അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഫലപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനായിരുന്നാലും ഒരു കിഴക്കൻകാറ്റു വരും; അവന്റെ ഉറവു വറ്റി കിണർ ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യഹോവയുടെ കാറ്റ് മരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു വരും; അവൻ സകലമനോഹരവസ്തുക്കളുടെയും നിക്ഷേപം കവർന്നുകൊണ്ടുപോകും.

16 Samaria shall be utterly destroyed: for she has resisted her God; they shall fall by the sword, and their sucklings shall be dashed against the ground, and their women with child ripped up.

൧൬ശമര്യ തന്റെ ദൈവത്തോട് മത്സരിച്ചതുകൊണ്ട് അവൾ തന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; അവർ വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; അവരുടെ ശിശുക്കളെ അവർ തകർത്തുകളയും; അവരുടെ ഗർഭിണികളുടെ ഉദരം പിളർന്നുകളയും.
