Exodus 35
1 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said, These are the words which the Lord has spoken for [you] to do them.
Moïse ayant convoqué toute l’assemblée d’Israël, leur dit: « Voici les choses que Yahweh a ordonné de faire:
2 Six days shall you perform works, but on the seventh day [shall be] rest—a holy sabbath—a rest for the Lord: every one that does work on it, let him die.
Tu travailleras six jours, mais le septième sera pour vous un jour consacré; un jour de repos complet en l’honneur de Yahweh. Quiconque fera un travail ce jour-là sera puni de mort.
3 You shall not burn a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath-day; I [am] the Lord.
Vous n’allumerez de feu dans aucune de vos demeures le jour du sabbat. »
4 And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This [is] the thing which the Lord has appointed you, saying,
Moïse parla à toute l’assemblée des enfants d’Israël, en disant: « Voici ce que Yahweh a ordonné:
5 Take of yourselves an offering for the Lord: every one that engages in his heart shall bring the first fruits to the Lord; gold, silver, brass,
Prélevez sur vos biens une offrande pour Yahweh. Tout homme au cœur bien disposé apportera en offrande à Yahweh de l’or, de l’argent et de l’airain,
6 blue, purple, double scarlet spun, and fine linen spun, and goats' hair,
de la pourpre violette, de la pourpre écarlate, du cramoisi, du fin lin et du poil de chèvre,
7 and rams' skins dyed red, and skins [dyed] blue, and incorruptible wood,
des peaux de béliers teintes en rouge et des peaux de veaux marins, et du bois d’acacia,
8 and sardine stones, and stones for engraving for the shoulder-piece and full-length robe.
de l’huile pour le chandelier, des aromates pour l’huile d’onction et pour le parfum d’encensement,
9 And every man that is wise in heart amongst you, let him come and work all things whatever the Lord has commanded.
des pierres d’onyx et d’autres pierres à enchâsser pour l’éphod et pour le pectoral.
10 The tabernacle, and the cords, and the coverings, and the rings, and the bars, and the posts,
Que tous ceux d’entre vous qui ont de l’habileté viennent et exécutent tout ce que Yahweh a ordonné:
11 and the ark of the testimony, and its staves, and its propitiatory, and the veil,
la Demeure, sa tente et sa couverture, ses anneaux, ses ais, ses traverses, ses colonnes et ses socles;
12 and the curtains of the court, and its posts,
l’arche et ses barres; le propitiatoire et le voile de séparation;
13 and the emerald stones,
la table avec ses barres et tous ses ustensiles, et les pains de proposition;
14 and the incense, and the anointing oil,
le chandelier avec ses ustensiles, ses lampes et l’huile pour le chandelier;
15 and the table and all its furniture,
l’autel des parfums et ses barres; l’huile d’onction et le parfum pour l’encensement: la tenture de la porte pour l’entrée de la Demeure;
16 and the candlestick for the light and all its furniture,
l’autel des holocaustes, sa grille d’airain, ses barres et tous ses ustensiles; la cuve avec sa base;
17 and the altar and all its furniture;
les rideaux du parvis, ses colonnes, ses socles et la tenture de la porte du parvis;
18 and the holy garments of Aaron the priest, and the garments in which they shall do service;
les pieux de la Demeure, les pieux du parvis avec leurs cordages;
19 and the garments of priesthood for the sons of Aaron and the anointing oil, and the compound incense.
les vêtements de cérémonie pour le service dans le sanctuaire, les vêtements sacrés pour le grand prêtre Aaron, et les vêtements de ses fils pour les fonctions du sacerdoce. »
20 And all the congregation of the children of Israel went out from Moses. And they brought, they whose heart prompted them, and they to whoever it seemed good in their mind, each and offering:
Toute l’assemblée des enfants d’Israël étant sortie de devant Moïse,
21 and they brought an offering to the Lord for all the works of the tabernacle of witness, and all its services, and for all the robes of the sanctuary.
tous ceux que leur cœur y portait et tous ceux dont l’esprit était bien disposé vinrent et apportèrent une offrande à Yahweh pour la construction de la tente de réunion, pour tout son service et pour les vêtements sacrés.
22 And the men, even every one to whom it seemed good in his heart, brought from the women, [even] brought seals and ear-rings, and finger-rings, and necklaces, and bracelets, every article of gold.
Les hommes vinrent aussi bien que les femmes; tous ceux dont le cœur était bien disposé apportèrent des boucles, des anneaux, des bagues, des bracelets, toutes sortes d’objets d’or; chacun présenta l’offrande d’or qu’il avait destinée à Yahweh.
23 And all as many as brought ornaments of gold to the Lord, and with whoever fine linen was found; and they brought skins [dyed] blue, and rams' skins dyed red.
Tous ceux qui avaient chez eux de la pourpre violette, de la pourpre écarlate et du cramoisi, du fin lin et du poil de chèvre, des peaux de béliers teintes en rouge et des peaux de veaux marins, les apportèrent.
24 And every one that offered an offering brought silver and brass, the offerings to the Lord; and [they] with whom was found incorruptible wood; and they brought [offerings] for all the works of the preparation.
Tous ceux qui avaient prélevé une offrande d’argent et d’airain, apportèrent l’offrande à Yahweh. Tous ceux qui avaient chez eux du bois d’acacia pour tous les ouvrages destinés au culte, l’apportèrent.
25 And every woman skilled in her heart to spin with her hands, brought spun [articles], the blue, and purple, and scarlet and fine linen.
Toutes les femmes qui avaient de l’habileté, filèrent de leurs mains, et elles apportèrent leur ouvrage: de la pourpre violette, de la pourpre écarlate, du cramoisi et du fin lin.
26 And all the women to whom it seemed good in their heart in their wisdom, spun the goats' hair.
Toutes les femmes que leur cœur y portait, et qui avaient de l’habileté, filèrent du poil de chèvre.
27 And the rulers brought the emerald stones, and the stones for setting in the ephod, and the oracle,
Les principaux du peuple apportèrent des pierres d’onyx et d’autres pierres à enchâsser pour l’éphod et le pectoral;
28 and the compounds both for the anointing oil, and the composition of the incense.
des aromates et de l’huile pour le chandelier, pour l’huile d’onction et pour le parfum odoriférant.
29 And every man and woman whose mind inclined them to come in and do all the works as many as the Lord appointed them to do by Moses—[they] the children of Israel brought an offering to the Lord.
Tous les enfants d’Israël, hommes et femmes, qui étaient disposés de cœur à contribuer à tout ouvrage que Yahweh avait commandé de faire par l’organe de Moïse, apportèrent à Yahweh des offrandes volontaires.
30 And Moses said to the children of Israel, Behold, God has called by name Beseleel the [son] of Urias the [son of] Or, of the tribe of Juda,
Moïse dit aux enfants d’Israël: « Sachez que Yahweh a choisi Béseléel, fils d’Uri, fils de Hur, de la tribu de Juda.
31 and has filled him with a divine spirit of wisdom and understanding, and knowledge of all things,
Il l’a rempli de l’esprit de Dieu, de sagesse, d’intelligence et de savoir pour toutes sortes d’ouvrages,
32 to labour skilfully in all works of cunning workmanship, to form the gold and the silver and the brass,
pour faire des inventions, pour travailler l’or, l’argent et l’airain,
33 and to work in stone, and to fashion the wood, and to work in every work of wisdom.
pour graver les pierres à enchâsser, pour tailler le bois et exécuter toutes sortes d’ouvrages d’art.
34 And [God] gave improvement in understanding both to him, and to Eliab the [son] of Achisamach of the tribe of Dan.
Il a mis aussi dans son cœur le don d’enseignement, de même qu’en Ooliab, fils d’Achisamech, de la tribu de Dan.
35 And [God] filled them with wisdom, understanding [and] perception, to understand to work all the works of the sanctuary, and to weave the woven and embroidered work with scarlet and fine linen, to do all work of curious workmanship [and] embroidery.
Il les a remplis d’intelligence pour exécuter tous les ouvrages de sculpture et d’art, pour tisser d’un dessin varié la pourpre violette, la pourpre écarlate, le cramoisi et le fin lin, pour exécuter toute espèce de travaux et pour faire des inventions.
