Exodus 23
1 You shall not receive a vain report: you shall not agree with the unjust [man] to become an unjust witness.
൧നിങ്ങൾ വ്യാജവർത്തമാനം പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കരുത്; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കുവാൻ ദുഷ്ടനോടുകൂടെ ചേരരുത്.
2 You shall not associate with the multitude for evil; you shall not join yourself with a multitude to turn aside with the majority so as to shut out judgement.
൨ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തോട് ചേർന്ന് ദോഷം ചെയ്യരുത്; ന്യായത്തിന് എതിരായി ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തോട് ചേർന്ന് വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുത്.
3 And you shall not spare a poor man in judgement.
൩ദരിദ്രന്റെ വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ അവനോട് പക്ഷഭേദം കാണിക്കരുത്.
4 And if you meet your enemy's ox or his ass going astray, you shall turn them back and restore them to him.
൪നിന്റെ ശത്രുവിന്റെ കാളയോ കഴുതയോ വഴിതെറ്റിയതായി കണ്ടാൽ അതിനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ തിരികെ എത്തിക്കണം.
5 And if you see your enemy's ass fallen under its burden, you shall not pass by it, but shall help to raise it with him.
൫നിന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കഴുത ചുമടുമായി വീണുകിടക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടാൽ അവനെ വിചാരിച്ച് അതിനെ അഴിച്ചുവിടുവാൻ മടിക്കരുത്. അതിനെ അഴിച്ചുവിടുവാൻ അവനെ സഹായിക്കണം.
6 You shall not wrest the sentence of the poor in his judgement.
൬ദരിദ്രന്റെ വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ അവന് നീതി നിഷേധിക്കരുത്.
7 You shall abstain from every unjust thing: you shall not kill the innocent and just, and you shall not justify the wicked for gifts.
൭തെറ്റായ കുറ്റാരോപണം വിട്ട് അകന്നിരിക്കുക; കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവനെയും നീതിമാനെയും കൊല്ലരുത്; ഞാൻ ദുഷ്ടനെ നീതീകരിക്കുകയില്ലല്ലോ.
8 And you shall not receive gifts; for gifts blind the eyes of the seeing, and corrupt just words.
൮കൈക്കൂലി കാഴ്ചയുള്ളവരെ കുരുടരാക്കുകയും നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വാക്കുകളെ മറിച്ചുകളയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് നീ കൈക്കൂലി വാങ്ങരുത്.
9 And you shall not afflict a stranger, for you know the heart of a stranger; for you were yourselves strangers in the land of Egypt.
൯പരദേശിയെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കരുത്: നിങ്ങൾ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ പരദേശികളായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് പരദേശിയുടെ അനുഭവം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
10 Six years you shall sow your land, and gather in the fruits of it.
൧൦ആറ് വർഷം നിന്റെ നിലം വിതച്ച് വിളവ് എടുത്തുകൊള്ളുക.
11 But in the seventh year you shall let it rest, and leave it, and the poor of your nation shall feed; and the wild beasts of the field shall eat that which remains: thus shall you do to your vineyard and to your oliveyard.
൧൧ഏഴാം വർഷത്തിലോ അത് ഉഴവുചെയ്യാതെ വെറുതെ ഇടുക; നിന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ ദരിദ്രന്മാർ അതിൽനിന്ന് കഴിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ ശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങൾ തിന്നട്ടെ. നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടവും ഒലിവുതോട്ടവും സംബന്ധിച്ചും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്യുക.
12 Six days shall you do your works, and on the seventh day there shall be rest, that your ox and your ass may rest, and that the son of your maidservant and the stranger may be refreshed.
൧൨ആറ് ദിവസം വേല ചെയ്യുക; ഏഴാം ദിവസം നിന്റെ കാളയും കഴുതയും വിശ്രമിക്കുവാനും നിന്റെ ദാസിയുടെ പുത്രനും പരദേശിയും ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുവാനും വേണ്ടി നീ സ്വസ്ഥമായിരിക്കണം.
13 Observe all things whatever I have commanded you; and you shall make no mention of the name of other gods, neither shall they be heard out of your mouth.
൧൩ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് കല്പിച്ച എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും ശ്രദ്ധ വെക്കണം; അന്യദൈവങ്ങളോട് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കരുത്; അത് നിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്ന് കേൾക്കുകയും അരുത്.
14 Keep you a feast to me three times in the year.
൧൪വർഷത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് പ്രാവശ്യം എനിക്ക് ഉത്സവം ആചരിക്കണം.
15 Take heed to keep the feast of unleavened bread: seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I charged you at the season of the month of new [corn], for in it you came out of Egypt: you shall not appear before me empty.
൧൫പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഉത്സവം ആചരിക്കണം; ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ആബീബ് മാസത്തിൽ നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയത്ത് ഏഴ് ദിവസം പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നുക; അന്നല്ലോ നീ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് പോന്നത്. എന്നാൽ വെറും കയ്യോടെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വരരുത്.
16 And you shall keep the feast of the harvest of first fruits of your labours, whatever you shall have sown in your field, and the feast of completion at the end of the year in the gathering in of your fruits out of your field.
൧൬വയലിൽ വിതച്ച വിതയുടെ ആദ്യഫലമെടുക്കുന്ന കൊയ്ത്തുപെരുനാളും വർഷാവസാനത്തിൽ വയലിൽനിന്ന് നിന്റെ വേലയുടെ ഫലം ശേഖരിക്കുമ്പോൾ കായ്കനിപ്പെരുനാളും ആചരിക്കണം.
17 Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord your God.
൧൭വർഷത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് പ്രാവശ്യം പുരുഷന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും കർത്താവായ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വരണം.
18 For when I shall have cast out the nations from before you, and shall have widened your borders, you shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven, neither must the fat of my feast abide till the morning.
൧൮യാഗരക്തം പുളിപ്പുള്ള അപ്പത്തോടുകൂടി അർപ്പിക്കരുത്; യാഗമേദസ്സ് പ്രഭാതംവരെ ഇരിക്കുകയുമരുത്.
19 You shall bring the first-offerings of the first fruits of your land into the house of the Lord your God. You shall not seethe a lamb in its mother's milk.
൧൯നിന്റെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ആദ്യവിളവുകളിലെ ഏറ്റവും നല്ലഫലങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരണം. ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടിയെ തള്ളയുടെ പാലിൽ പാകം ചെയ്യരുത്.
20 And, behold, I send my angel before your face, that he may keep you in the way, that he may bring you into the land which I have prepared for you.
൨൦ഇതാ, വഴിയിൽ നിന്നെ കാക്കേണ്ടതിനും ഞാൻ നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകേണ്ടതിനും ഞാൻ ഒരു ദൂതനെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ അയക്കുന്നു.
21 Take heed to yourself and listen to him, and disobey him not; for he will not give way to you, for my name is on him.
൨൧നീ അവനെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ച് അവന്റെ വാക്ക് കേൾക്കണം; അവനെ പ്രകോപിപ്പിക്കരുത്; എന്റെ നാമം അവനിൽ ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമിക്കുകയില്ല;
22 If you will indeed hear my voice, and if you will do all the things I shall charge you with, and keep my covenant, you shall be to me a peculiar people above all nations, for the whole earth is mine; and you shall be to me a royal priesthood, and a holy nation: these words shall you speak to the children of Israel, If you shall indeed hear my voice, and do all the things I shall tell you, I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.
൨൨എന്നാൽ നീ അവന്റെ വാക്ക് ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ട് ഞാൻ കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്താൽ നിന്നെ പകയ്ക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ പകയ്ക്കും; നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ ഞെരുക്കും.
23 For my angel shall go as your leader, and shall bring you to the Amorite, and Chettite, and Pherezite, and Chananite, and Gergesite, and Evite, and Jebusite, and I will destroy them.
൨൩എന്റെ ദൂതൻ നിനക്ക് മുമ്പായി നടന്ന് നിന്നെ അമോര്യർ, ഹിത്യർ, പെരിസ്യർ, കനാന്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവരെ ഞാൻ നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കും.
24 You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them: you shall not do according to their works, but shall utterly destroy them, and break to pieces their pillars.
൨൪അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ നമസ്കരിക്കരുത്; അവയെ സേവിക്കരുത്; അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾപോലെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കരുത്; അവരെ അശേഷം നശിപ്പിച്ച് അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ തകർത്തുകളയണം.
25 And you shall serve the Lord your God, and I will bless your bread and your wine and your water, and I will turn away sickness from you.
൨൫നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ തന്നെ സേവിക്കുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ അവൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പത്തെയും വെള്ളത്തെയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും; ഞാൻ രോഗങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് അകറ്റിക്കളയും.
26 There shall not be on your land one that is impotent or barren. I will surely fulfil the number of your days.
൨൬ഗർഭം അലസുന്നവളും മച്ചിയും നിന്റെ ദേശത്ത് ഉണ്ടാവുകയില്ല; നിനക്ക് ഞാൻ ദീർഘായുസ്സ് തരും.
27 And I will send terror before you, and I will strike with amazement all the nations to which you shall come, and I will make all your enemies to flee.
൨൭എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഭയം നീ ചെല്ലുന്നിടത്തുള്ള ജാതികളുടെ മുൻമ്പിൽ അയച്ച് അവരെ അമ്പരപ്പിക്കും. അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
28 And I will send hornets before you, and you shall cast out the Amorites and the Evites, and the Chananites and the Chettites from you.
൨൮നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഹിവ്യനെയും കനാന്യനെയും ഹിത്യനെയും ഓടിച്ചുകളവാൻ ഞാൻ നിനക്ക് മുമ്പായി കടന്നലിനെ അയയ്ക്കും.
29 I will not cast them out in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the beasts of the field multiply against you.
൨൯ദേശം ശൂന്യമാകാതെയും കാട്ടുമൃഗം നിനക്ക് ബാധയായി പെരുകാതെയും ഇരിക്കുവാൻ ഒരു വർഷംകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവരെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിച്ചുകളയുകയില്ല.
30 By little [and little] I will cast them out from before you, until you shall be increased and inherit the earth.
൩൦നീ സന്താനസമ്പന്നമായി ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുന്നതുവരെ ഞാൻ അവരെ ക്രമേണ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിച്ചുകളയും.
31 And I will set your borders from the Red Sea, to the sea of the Phylistines, and from the wilderness to the great river Euphrates; and I will give into your hand those that dwell in the land, and will cast them out from you.
൩൧ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദേശം ചെങ്കടൽ തുടങ്ങി ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കടൽ വരെയും മരുഭൂമി തുടങ്ങി നദിവരെയും വ്യാപിപ്പിയ്ക്കും; ദേശത്തിലെ നിവാസികളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കും; നീ അവരെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിച്ചുകളയണം.
32 You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.
൩൨അവരോടും അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരോടും നീ ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്യരുത്.
33 And they shall not dwell in your land, lest they cause you to sin against me; for if you should serve their gods, these will be an offence to you.
൩൩നീ എന്നോട് പാപം ചെയ്യുവാൻ അവർ കാരണം ആകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവർ നിന്റെ ദേശത്ത് വസിക്കരുത്. നീ അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ചാൽ അത് നിനക്ക് കെണിയായി തീരും.
