< Psalms 128 >

1 A Song of Degrees. Blessed are all they that fear the Lord; who walk in his ways.
[A Song of Ascents.] Blessed is everyone who fears YHWH, who walks in his ways.
2 Thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art thou, and it shall be well with thee.
For you will eat the labor of your hands; you will be blessed, and it will be well with you.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine on the sides of thy house: thy children as young olive-plants round about thy table.
Your wife will be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of your house; your children like olive plants, around your table.
4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that fears the Lord.
Look, thus is the man blessed who fears YHWH.
5 May the Lord bless thee out of Sion; and mayest thou see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
May YHWH bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
6 And mayest thou see thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel.
Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel.
