< Psalms 31 >

1 To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David. In you, O Lord, have I put my hope; let me never be shamed; keep me safe in your righteousness.
Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon’ i Davida. Jehovah ô, Hianao no ialofako; aoka tsy ho menatra akory mandrakizay aho; vonjeo amin’ ny fahamarinanao aho.
2 Let your ear be turned to me; take me quickly out of danger; be my strong Rock, my place of strength where I may be safe.
Atongilano amiko ny sofinao, faingàna hamonjy ahy; aoka ho vatolampiko fiarovana mafy Hianao sy batery fiarovana hamonjena ahy.
3 For you are my Rock and my strong tower; go in front of me and be my guide, because of your name.
Fa harambatoko sy batery fiarovana ho ahy Hianao; ary noho ny anaranao no hitondrànao sy hitarihanao ahy.
4 Take me out of the net which they have put ready for me secretly; for you are my strength.
Hanafaka ahy amin’ ny fandrika harato izay nafeniny hamandrihany ahy Hianao; fa Hianao no fiarovana mafy ho ahy.
5 Into your hands I give my spirit; you are my saviour, O Lord God for ever true.
Eo an-tananao no atolotro ny fanahiko; fa efa nanavotra ahy Hianao, Jehovah ô, Andriamanitry ny fahamarinana.
6 I am full of hate for those who go after false gods; but my hope is in the Lord.
Halako izay mivavaka amin’ ny sampy; fa Jehovah kosa no itokiako.
7 I will be glad and have delight in your mercy; because you have seen my trouble; you have had pity on my soul in its sorrows;
Hifaly sy ho ravoravo amin’ ny famindram-ponao aho; fa nahita ny fahantrako Hianao, ka nahafantatra ny fahorian’ ny fanahiko,
8 And you have not given me into the hand of my hater; you have put my feet in a wide place.
ary tsy mba nangeja ahy teo an-tànan’ ny fahavalo; fa efa nampitoetra ny tongotro eo amin’ ny malalaka Hianao.
9 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in trouble; my eyes are wasted with grief, I am wasted in soul and body.
Mamindrà fo amiko, Jehovah ô, fa azom-pahoriana aho; simban’ alahelo ny masoko sy ny fanahiko ary ny tenako.
10 My life goes on in sorrow, and my years in weeping; my strength is almost gone because of my sin, and my bones are wasted away.
Fa lanin’ alahelo ny aiko, sady lanim-pisentoana ny taonako; Tsy manan-kery aho noho ny heloko, ary efa lany ny taolako.
11 Because of all those who are against me, I have become a word of shame to my neighbours; a cause of shaking the head and a fear to my friends: those who saw me in the street went in flight from me.
Noho ny ataon’ ny fahavaloko rehetra dia efa tonga fandatsa aho, eny, na dia amin’ ny namako aza, sady atahoran’ ny olom-pantatro aho; izay mahita ahy eny ivelany mandositra ahy.
12 I have gone from men's minds and memory like a dead man; I am like a broken vessel.
Efa hadino tahaka ny olona maty izay tsy tsaroana intsony aho; tahaka ny vilany ariana aho.
13 False statements against me have come to my ears; fear was on every side: they were talking together against me, designing to take away my life.
Fa mandre ny endrikendriky ny maro aho; misy fampangorohoroana manodidina, raha miara-mioko hamely ahy izy, ka miray tetika hahafaty ny aiko.
14 But I had faith in you, O Lord; I said, You are my God.
Nefa izaho matoky Anao, Jehovah ô; hoy izaho: Andriamanitro Hianao.
15 The chances of my life are in your hand; take me out of the hands of my haters, and of those who go after me.
Eo an-tananao ny androko; Vonjeo aho tsy ho azon’ ny tanan’ ny fahavaloko sy izay manenjika ahy.
16 Let your servant see the light of your face; in your mercy be my saviour.
Ampamirapirato amin’ ny mpanomponao ny tavanao; vonjeo amin’ ny famindram-ponao aho.
17 Let me not be shamed, O Lord, for I have made my prayer to you; let the sinners be shamed, and let their mouths be shut in the underworld. (Sheol h7585)
Aoka tsy ho menatra aho, Jehovah ô, satria miantso Anao; fa aoka kosa ho menatra ny ratsy fanahy ka hangina any amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita. (Sheol h7585)
18 Let the false lips be shut, which say evil against the upright, looking down on him in their pride.
Aoka hangina ny molotra mandainga, izay miteny sahisahy hanohitra ny marina, amin’ ny avonavona sy ny fanamavoana.
19 O how great is your grace, which you have put in store for your worshippers, and which you have made clear to those who had faith in you, before the sons of men!
Akory re ny haben’ ny zava-tsoanao voarakitrao ho an’ ny matahotra Anao! dia izay nataonao teo anatrehan’ ny zanak’ olombelona ho an’ izay mialoka aminao!
20 You will keep them safe in your house from the designs of man; in the secret of your tent will you keep them from angry tongues.
Hanafina azy ao amin’ ny fiafenana eo anatrehanao Hianao, mba tsy ho tratry ny teti-dratsy ataon’ ny olona izy; hampiery azy ao an-tranonao Hianao, mba tsy ho azon’ ny lela mifanditra izy.
21 May the Lord be praised, because he has made clear to me the wonder of his grace in a strong town.
Isaorana anie Jehovah; fa nataony mahagaga ny famindram-pony tamiko tao an-tanàna mimanda.
22 And as for me, I said in my fear, I am cut off from before your eyes; but you gave ear to the voice of my prayer, when my cry went up to you.
Fa hoy izaho tamin’ ny fahatairako; voafongotra tsy ho eo imasonao aho; kanjo nihaino ny feon’ ny fifonako ihany Hianao, raha nitaraina taminao aho.
23 O have love for the Lord, all you his saints; for the Lord keeps safe from danger all those who are true to him, and gives the workers of pride their right reward.
Tiava an’ i Jehovah, ry olony masìna rehetra; miaro ny marina Jehovah, ary mamaly dia mamaly ny mpiavonavona Izy.
24 Put away fear and let your heart be strong, all you whose hope is in the Lord.
Mahereza, ary aoka hatanjaka ny fonareo, dia ianareo rehetra izay manantena an’ i Jehovah.
