Psalms 12
1 For the chief music-maker on the Sheminith. A Psalm. Of David. Send help, Lord, for mercy has come to an end; there is no more faith among the children of men.
၁အို ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးတို့အားကူမတော်မူပါ။ သူတော်ကောင်းတစ်ယောက်မျှမကျန်မရှိ တော့ပါ။ ရိုးသားဖြောင့်မတ်သူများကိုလည်းရှာ၍ မတွေ့နိုင်တော့ပါ။
2 Everyone says false words to his neighbour: their tongues are smooth in their talk, and their hearts are full of deceit.
၂လူအပေါင်းတို့သည်အချင်းချင်းလိမ်လည် ပြောဆို၍ မြှောက်ပင့်ကာလှည့်စားကြပါ၏။
3 The smooth lips and the tongue of pride will be cut off by the Lord.
၃အို ထာဝရဘုရား မြှောက်ပင့်ပြောဆိုတတ်သည့်လျှာများကို ဖြတ်ပစ်တော်မူပါ။ ဝါကြွားတတ်သူတို့၏နှုတ်များကိုလည်း ပိတ်တော်မူ၏။
4 They have said, With our tongues will we overcome; our lips are ours: who is lord over us?
၄ဝါကြွားတတ်သူတို့က``ငါတို့သည်မိမိတို့၏ စကားအားဖြင့်လိုချင်သည့်အရာကိုရရှိ ကြ၏။ ငါတို့သည်မိမိတို့အလိုဆန္ဒအတိုင်းပြော ဆိုမည်။ အဘယ်သူမျှငါတို့အားဆီးတား၍ရလိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်'' ဟုဆိုကြ၏။
5 Because of the crushing of the poor and the weeping of those in need, now will I come to his help, says the Lord; I will give him the salvation which he is desiring.
၅ထာဝရဘုရားက ``သို့ရာတွင်ချို့တဲ့နွမ်းပါးသူတို့သည်ဖိစီး နှိပ်စက်ခြင်းကိုခံရကြသဖြင့်လည်းကောင်း၊ နှိပ်စက်ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းခံရကြသူတို့သည် ဝေဒနာနှင့် ညည်းတွားနေကြသဖြင့်လည်းကောင်း၊ ငါသည်ယခုပင်ကြွလာမည်။ သူတို့လိုလားတောင့်တကြသည့်ဘေးလွတ် လုံခြုံမှုကို သူတို့အားငါပေးမည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
6 The words of the Lord are true words: like silver tested by fire and burned clean seven times.
၆ထာဝရဘုရား၏ကတိတော်များကို ယုံကြည်စိတ်ချနိုင်၏။ မီးဖို၌ခုနစ်ကြိမ်ချွတ်ပြီးသောငွေစင်ကဲ့သို့ ယုံကြည်စိတ်ချနိုင်၏။
7 You will keep them, O Lord, you will keep them safe from this generation for ever.
၇အို ဘုရားသခင်၊ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးတို့အားအစဉ်ပင် ဘေးလွတ်လုံခြုံစွာထားတော်မူပါ။ သူယုတ်မာတို့၏လက်မှကွယ်ကာ စောင့်ရှောက်တော်မူပါ။
8 The sinners are walking on every side, and evil is honoured among the children of men.
၈သူယုတ်မာတို့သည်နေရာတကာတွင်ရှိ၏။ လူအပေါင်းတို့သည်မကောင်းမှုကိုချီးကူးကြ၏။
