1 Chronicles 7
1 And of the sons of Issachar: Tola and Puah, Jashub and Shimron, four.
De zonen van Issakar waren: Tola, Poea, Jasjoeb en Sjimron, in het geheel vier.
2 And the sons of Tola: Uzzi and Rephaiah and Jeriel and Jahmai and Ibsam and Shemuel, heads of their families; they were men of war; in the record of their generations their number in the time of David was twenty-two thousand, six hundred.
De zonen van Tola waren: Oezzi, Refaja, Jeriël, Jachmai, Jibsam en Sjemoeël. Ze waren familiehoofden van het geslacht Tola, en dappere mannen; het aantal van hun afstammelingen bedroeg ten tijde van David twee en twintigduizend zeshonderd.
3 And the sons of Uzzi; Izrahiah; and the sons of Izrahiah: Michael and Obadiah and Joel and Isshiah, five; all of them chiefs.
De zoon van Oezzi was Jizrachja; de zonen van Jizrachja waren: Mikaël, Obadja, Joël en Jisji-ja; in het geheel vijf opperhoofden.
4 And with them, recorded in generations by their families, were bands of fighting-men, thirty-six thousand of them, for they had a great number of wives and sons.
Tot de verschillende families van hun afstammelingen behoorden zes en dertigduizend man krijgsvolk; zoveel vrouwen en kinderen hadden ze!
5 And there were recorded among all the families of Issachar, great men of war, eighty-seven thousand.
Al hun stamgenoten, die van Issakar afstamden, waren dappere mannen; in het geheel werden er zeven en tachtigduizend in het stamregister opgenomen.
6 The sons of Benjamin: Bela and Becher and Jediael, three.
De zonen van Benjamin waren: Bela, Béker en Je-diaël, in het geheel drie.
7 And the sons of Bela: Ezbon and Uzzi and Uzziel and Jerimoth and Iri, five; heads of their families, great men of war; there were twenty-two thousand and thirty-four of them recorded by their families.
De zonen van Bela waren: Esbon, Oezzi, Oezziël, Jerimot en Iri, in het geheel vijf. Ze waren familiehoofden en dappere mannen; twee en twintigduizend vier en dertig stonden er in het stamregister.
8 And the sons of Becher: Zemirah and Joash and Eliezer and Elioenai and Omri and Jerimoth and Abijah and Anathoth and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Becher.
De zonen van Béker waren: Zemira, Joasj, Eliézer, Eljoënai, Omri, Jeremot, Abi-ja, Anatot en Alémet; allen zonen van Béker en familiehoofden.
9 And they were recorded by their generations, heads of their families, great men of war, twenty thousand, two hundred.
Hun afstammelingen waren dappere mannen; twintigduizend tweehonderd stonden er in het stamregister.
10 And the sons of Jediael: Bilhan; and the sons of Bilhan: Jeush and Benjamin and Ehud and Chenaanah and Zethan and Tarshish and Ahishahar.
De zoon van Jediaël was Bilhan; de zonen van Bilhan waren: Jeöesj, Binjamin, Ehoed, Kenaäna, Zetan, Tarsjisj en Achisjáchar:
11 All these were the sons of Jediael, by the heads of their families, seventeen thousand, two hundred men of war, able to go out with the army for war.
allen zonen van Jediaël en familiehoofden. Hun afstammelingen waren dappere mannen, en telden zeventienduizend tweehonderd dienstplichtigen.
12 And Shuppim and Huppim. The sons of Dan, Hushim his son, one.
Sjoeppim en Choeppim waren zonen van Ira; Choesjim was de zoon van Acher.
13 The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel and Guni and Jezer and Shallum, the sons of Bilhah.
De zonen van Neftali waren: Jachaziël, Goeni, Jéser en Sjalloem; ze waren kinderen van Bilha.
14 The sons of Manasseh by his servant-wife, the Aramaean woman: she gave birth to Machir, the father of Gilead;
De zonen van Manasse waren vooreerst Asriël, die een ongenoemde hem schonk. Dan schonk zijn aramese bijvrouw hem Makir, den stamvader van Gilad.
15 (And Gilead took a wife, whose name was Maacah, and his sister's name was Hammoleketh; ) and the name of his brother was Zelophehad, who was the father of daughters.
Makir nam een vrouw voor Choeppim en Sjoeppim; zijn ene zuster heette Maäka, de andere Selofchad. Selofchad kreeg dochters,
16 And Maacah, the wife of Gilead, gave birth to a son to whom she gave the name Peresh; and his brother was named Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.
maar Maäka, de vrouw van Makir, kreeg een zoon, dien ze Péresj noemde; zijn broer heette Sjéres, en zijn zonen: Oelam en Rékem.
17 And the son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir the son of Manasseh.
De zoon van Oelam was Bedan. Dit waren de afstammelingen van Gilad, den zoon van Makir, zoon van Manasse.
18 And his sister Hammoleketh was the mother of Ishhod and Abiezer and Mahlah.
Zijn zuster Hammoléket schonk het leven aan Isjhod, Abiézer en Machla.
19 And the sons of Shemida were Ahian and Shechem and Likhi and Aniam.
De kinderen van Sjemida heetten Achjan, Sjekem, Likchi en Aniam.
20 And the sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eleadah his son, and Tahath his son,
De zoon van Efraïm was Sjoetélach. De zoon van Sjoetélach was Béred; die van Béred was Táchat; die van Táchat was Elada; die van Elada was Táchat; die van Táchat was Zabad;
21 And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead, whom the men of Gath, who had been living in the land from their birth, put to death, because they came down to take away their cattle.
die van Zabad waren Sjoetélach, Ézer en Elad. Dezen werden door de burgers van Gat, de inheemse bevolking, gedood, toen ze uitgetrokken waren, om hun vee te roven.
22 And for a long time Ephraim their father went on weeping for them, and his brothers came to give him comfort.
Efraïm, hun vader, betreurde ze lange tijd; maar toen zijn broeders hem waren komen troosten,
23 After that, he had connection with his wife, and she became with child and gave birth to a son, to whom his father gave the name of Beriah, because trouble had come on his family.
had hij weer gemeenschap met zijn vrouw. Zij werd zwanger, en schonk het leven aan een zoon, dien zij Beria noemde, omdat zij in zijn huis een kwade tijd had beleefd.
24 And his daughter was Sheerah, the builder of Beth-horon the lower and the higher, and Uzzen-sheerah.
De dochter van Beria was Sjeëra; zij bouwde Boven- en Beneden Bet-Choron en Oezzen-Sjeëra.
25 And Rephah was his son, and Resheph; his son was Telah, and his son was Tahan;
De zoon van Beria was Réfach; die van Réfach waren Résjef en Télach; die van Télach was Táchan;
26 Ladan was his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,
die van Táchan was Ladan; die van Ladan was Ammihoed; die van Ammihoed was Elisjama;
27 Nun his son, Joshua his son.
die van Elisjama was Non; die van Non was Jehosjóea.
28 Their heritage and their living-places were Beth-el and its daughter-towns, and Naaran to the east, and Gezer to the west, with its daughter-towns, as well as Shechem and its daughter-towns as far as Azzah and its daughter-towns;
Hun erfgoed en woonplaatsen waren Betel met bijbehorende plaatsen; verder Naäran in het oosten, en Gézer, Sikem en Ajja in het westen, alle met bijbehorende plaatsen.
29 And by the limits of the children of Manasseh, Beth-shean and its daughter-towns, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, with their daughter-towns. In these the children of Joseph, the son of Israel, were living.
In het bezit van de Manassieten waren ook Bet-Sjean, Taänak, Megiddo en Dor, alle met bijbehorende plaatsen; in deze steden waren de zonen van Josef gevestigd, den zoon van Israël.
30 The sons of Asher: Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah and Serah, their sister.
De zonen van Aser waren: Jimna, Jisjwa, Jisjwi en Beria; ze hadden een zuster Sérach.
31 And the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
De zonen van Beria waren Chéber en Malkiël. Malkiël was de vader van Birzáit.
32 And Heber was the father of Japhlet and Shomer and Hotham and Shua, their sister.
Chéber was de vader van Jaflet, Sjomer en Chotam; dezen hadden een zuster Sjóea.
33 And the sons of Japhlet: Pasach and Bimhal and Ashvath. These are the sons of Japhlet.
De zonen van Jaflet waren: Pasak, Bimhal en Asjwat, allen zonen van Jaflet.
34 And the sons of Shomer: Ahi and Rohgah, Jehubbah and Aram.
De zonen van Sjomer waren: Achi, Rogga, Jechoebba en Aram.
35 And the sons of Hotham, his brother: Zophah and Imna and Shelesh and Amal.
De zonen van Chélem, zijn broeder, waren: Sofach, Jimna, Sjélesj en Amal.
36 The sons of Zophah: Suah and Harnepher and Shual and Beri and Imrah,
De zonen van Sofach waren: Sóeach, Charnéfer, Sjoeal, Beri, Jimra,
37 Bezer and Hod and Shamma and Shilshah and Ithran and Beera.
Béser, Hod, Sjamma, Sjilsja, Jitran en Beëra.
38 And the sons of Jether: Jephunneh and Pispah and Ara.
De zonen van Jéter waren: Jefoenne, Pispa en Ara;
39 And the sons of Ulla: Arah and Hanniel and Rizia.

40 All these were the children of Asher, heads of their families, specially strong men of war, chiefs of the rulers. They were recorded in the army for war, twenty-six thousand men in number.
Het waren allen zonen van Aser: uitstekende familiehoofden, dappere mannen en hoofden der vorsten. In hun stamregister stond een aantal van zes en twintigduizend dienstplichtigen.
