1 Chronicles 11
1 Then all Israel came together to David at Hebron, and said, Truly, we are your bone and your flesh.
त्यसपछि सबै इस्राएल हेब्रोनमा दाऊदकहाँ आए र भने, “हेर्नुहोस्, हामीहरू तपाईंकै हाडनाता हौ ।
2 In the past, when Saul was king, it was you who went at the head of Israel when they went out or came in; and the Lord your God said to you, You are to be the keeper of my people Israel, and their ruler.
हालैमा बितेका समयमा, जब शाऊल हाम्रा राजा थिए, तब तपाईंले नै इस्राएलको सेनाको नेतृत्व गर्नुभयो । परमप्रभु तपाईंका परमेश्वरले तपाईंलाई यसो भन्नुभयो, ‘तैंले नै मेरा मानिस इस्राएलको रेखदेख गर्नेछस्, र तँ नै मेरा मानिस इस्राएलको शासक हुनेछस्’ ।”
3 So all the responsible men of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and David made an agreement with them in Hebron before the Lord; and they put the holy oil on David and made him king over Israel, as the Lord had said by Samuel.
त्यसैले इस्राएलका सबै धर्म-गुरुहरू हेब्रोनमा दाऊद राजाकहाँ आए, र त्यहीं नै दाऊदले परमप्रभुको सामुन्ने तिनीहरूसित करार गरे । तिनीहरूले दाऊदलाई इस्राएलमाथि राजा अभिषेक गरे । यसरी शमूएलद्वारा घोषणा गरिएको परमप्रभुको वचन पुरा भयो ।
4 Then David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (which is Jebus); and the Jebusites, the people of the land, were there.
दाऊद र सारा इस्राएल यरूशलेममा (अर्थात् यबूसमा) गए । यति बेला त्यस देशका बसिन्दा यबूसीहरू त्यहाँ थिए ।
5 And the people of Jebus said to David, You will not come in here. But still, David took the strong place of Zion, which is the town of David.
यबूसका बसिन्दाहरूले दाऊदलाई भने, “तपाईं यहाँ कहिल्यै आउनुहुनेछैन ।” तर दाऊदले सियोनको किल्ला अर्थात् दाऊदको सहरलाई लिए ।
6 And David said, The first to overcome the Jebusites will be chief and captain. And Joab, the son of Zeruiah, went up first, and became chief.
दाऊदले भनेका थिए, “यबूसीहरूलाई जोसुकैले सबभन्दा पहिले आक्रमण गर्छ त्यो नै मुखिया र कमान्डर हुनेछ ।” यसैले सरूयाहका छोरा योआबले सबभन्दा पहिले आक्रमण गरे, त्यसैले तिनलाई मुखिया बनाइयो ।
7 And David took the strong tower for his living-place, so it was named the town of David.
तब दाऊद त्यही किल्लामा बसोबास गर्न थाले । यसैले तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई दाऊदको सहर नामाकरण गरे ।
8 And he took in hand the building of the town all round, starting from the Millo; and Joab put the rest of the town in order.
टेवा दिने गाराहरू र पछाडिबाट चारैतिरको पर्खालसम्म किल्लाको वरिपरि तिनले सहर बनाए । योआबले चाहिं बाँकी सहरको पुनर्निर्माण गरे ।
9 And David became greater and greater in power, because the Lord of armies was with him.
दाऊद झन्-झन् शक्तिशाली हुँदै गए किनभने सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु तिनीसित हुनुहुन्थ्यो ।
10 Now these are the chief of David's men of war who were his strong supporters in the kingdom, and, with all Israel, made him king, as the Lord had said about Israel.
इस्राएलको विषयमा परमप्रभुको वचन पालन गर्दै दाऊदको राज्यमा तिनको साथमा तिनलाई राजा बनाउनलाई जम्मै इस्राएलसँगै मिलेर आफूलाई सामर्थ्यवान् देखाउने तिनका अगुवाहरू यी नै थिए
11 This is the list of David's men of war: Ishbaal, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief of the three: he put to death three hundred at one time with his spear.
दाऊदका शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूको सूची यही होः हक्मोनी याशोबाम अधिकारीहरूका कमान्डर थिए । तिनले एकपल्ट तिन सय जनालाई भालाले मारेका थिए ।
12 And after him was Eleazar, the son of Dodo the Ahohite, who was one of the three great fighters.
तिनीपछि अहोही दोदैका छोरा एलाजार थिए, जो तीन जना वीर मानिसमध्ये एक थिए ।
13 He was with David at Pas-dammim, where the Philistines had come together for the fight, near a bit of land full of barley; and the people went in flight before the Philistines.
तिनी दाऊदसँग पास-दम्मीममा थिए, जहाँ जौको एउटा खेतमा पलिश्तीहरू युद्धको निम्ति भेला भए र पलिश्तीहरूदेखि सेना भाग्यो ।
14 And he took up his position in the middle of the bit of land, and kept back their attack, and overcame the Philistines; and the Lord gave a great salvation.
तिनीहरू खेतको बिचमा खडा भए । तिनीहरूले त्यसको रक्षा गरे, र पलिश्तीहरूलाई काटे र परमप्रभुले ठूलो विजय दिनुभएर तिनीहरूको उद्धार गर्नुभयो ।
15 And three of the thirty went down to David, to the rock, into the strong place of Adullam; and the army of the Philistines had taken up their position in the valley of Rephaim.
तब ती तिस जना मुख्य अगुवामध्ये यी तिन जना अदुल्लामको ओडारमा भएको पहरामा दाऊद भएका ठाउँमा गए । पलिश्तीहरूका सेना रपाईहरूको मैदानमा छाउनी हालेर बसेका थिए ।
16 At that time David had taken cover in the strong place, and an armed force of the Philistines was in Beth-lehem.
त्यस बेला दाऊदचाहिं आफ्नो किल्ला अर्थात् एउटा गुफामा थिए, जबकी पलिश्तीहरूले बेथलेहेममा आफ्नो छाउनी हालेका थिए ।
17 And David, moved by a strong desire, said, If only someone would give me a drink of the water from the water-hole of Beth-lehem by the doorway into the town!
दाऊदलाई तिर्खा लाकेको थियो र तिनले भने, “कसैले बेथलेहेमको मूल ढोकाको छेउमा भएको इनारबाट पानी ल्याएर पिउन दिए हुन्थ्यो!”
18 So the three, forcing a way through the Philistine army, got water from the water-hole of Beth-lehem, by the doorway into the town, and took it back to David; but David would not take it, but made an offering of it, draining it out to the Lord,
यसैले ती तीन जना वीर मानिसले पलिश्तीहरूका सेनाको बिचबाट गएर बेथलेहेमको मूल ढोकाको छेउको इनारबाट पानी उघाए । तिनीहरूले त्यो पानी लिए र त्यो दाऊदकहाँ ल्याए, तर तिनले त्यो पिउन इन्कार गरे । बरु, तिनले त्यो परमप्रभुमा खन्याए ।
19 Saying, By my God, far be it from me to do this! How may I take as drink the life-blood of these men who have put their lives in danger? so he did not take it. These things did the three great men of war.
तब तिनले भने, “मैले यसो कहिले पनि नगर्नुपरोस्! के मैले यि मानिसहरूको रगत पिउनू, जसले आफ्नो जीवनलाई नै खतरामा हालेका छन्?” तिनीहरूले आफ्नो जीवन जोखिममा पारेका हुनाले, दाऊदले त्यो पिउन इन्कार गरे । यी तीन जना वीर मानिसका कामहरू यी नै थिए ।
20 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, was chief of the thirty, for he put to death three hundred with his spear, but he had not a name among the three.
योआबका भाइ अबीशै ती तीन जनाका प्रमुख थिए । एकपल्ट तिनले तिन सय जनाको विरुद्ध भालाको प्रयोग गरे र तिनीहरूलाई मारे । ती तिन जनासँगै तिनको पनि उल्लेख गरिएको छ ।
21 Of the thirty, he was the noblest, and was made their captain, but he was not equal to the first three.
तिन जनामध्ये तिनलाई दोब्बर सम्मान दिइयो र तिनीहरूका प्रमुख भए, तापनि तिनी तिमध्येका एक जना भने थिएनन् ।
22 Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, a fighting-man of Kabzeel, had done great acts; he put to death two young lions going into their secret place; and he went down into a hole and put a lion to death in time of snow.
यहोयादाका छोरा बनायाह कब्सेलका वीर योद्धा थिए, जसले महान् कामहरू गरे । तिनले मोआबका एरिएलका दुई छोरालाई मारे । तिनी एक दिन एउटा खाडलभित्र गए र हिउँ परिरहेको बेलामा एउटा सिंहलाई मारे ।
23 And he made an attack on an Egyptian, a very tall man about five cubits high, armed with a spear like a cloth-worker's rod; he went down to him with a stick, and pulling his spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, put him to death with that same spear.
तिनले पाँच हात अल्गो एक जना मिश्रीलाई पनि मारे । त्यस मिश्रीको भाला कपडा बुन्ने जुलाहाको डन्डा जत्रो थियो, तर यिनी एउटा लौरो मात्र लिएर त्योसँग लड्न गए । तिनले त्यो मिश्रीको हातबाट उसकै भाला खोसे र उसको आफ्नै बालाले उसलाई मारे ।
24 These were the acts of Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, who had a great name among the thirty men of war.
यहोयादाका छोरा बनायाहले यस्ता वीरताका काम गरे, र ती तिन जनासँग तिनको नाउँ उल्लेख गरियो ।
25 He was honoured over the thirty, but he was not equal to the first three: and David put him over his servants.
तिस जना सामान्य सेनाभन्दा बढी सम्मान तिनलाई दिइयो, तर ती तीन जना वीर मानिसजत्तिकै सम्मान भने तिनलाई दिइएनन् । तापनि दाऊदले तिनलाई आफ्ना अङ्गरक्षकका निरीक्षक तुल्याए ।
26 And these were the great men of war: Asahel, the brother of Joab, Elhanan, the son of Dodo of Beth-lehem,
वीर मानिसहरूमा योआबका भाइ असाहेल, बेथलेहेमका दोदैका छोरो एल्हानान,
27 Shammoth the Harodite, Helez the Pelonite,
हारोरी शम्मोत, पेलोनी हेलेस,
28 Ira, the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,
तकोका इक्केशका छोरा ईरा, अनातोतका अबीएजेर,
29 Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,
हूशाती सिब्बकै, अहोही ईलै,
30 Maharai the Netophathite, Heled, the son of Baanah the Netophathite,
नतोपाती महरै, नतोपाती बानका छोरा हेलेद,
31 Ithai, the son of Ribai of Gibeah, of the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,
बेन्यामीनको गिबाका रीबैको छोरा ईथै, पिरातोनी बनायाह,
32 Hurai of Nahale-gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
गाश उपत्यकाका हूरै, अर्बाती अबीएल,
33 Azmaveth of Bahurim, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,
बहूरीमी अज्मावेत, शाल्बोनी एल्याहबा,
34 The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan, the son of Shage the Hararite,
गीजोनी हाशेमका छोराहरू, हरारी शागेका छोरा जोनाथन,
35 Ahiam, the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal, the son of Ur,
हरारी साकारका छोरा अहीआम, ऊरका छोरा एलीपाल,
36 Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,
मकेराती हेपेर, पेलोनी अहियाह,
37 Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai, the son of Ezbai,
कर्मेलका हेस्रो, एज्बैका छोरा नारै,
38 Joel, the brother of Nathan, Mibhar, the son of Hagri,
नातानका भाइ योएल, हग्रीका छोरा मिभार,
39 Zelek the Ammonite, and Naharai the Berothite, the servant who had the care of the arms of Joab, the son of Zeruiah;
अम्मोनी सेलेक, बेरोती नहरै (सरूयाहका छोरा योआबका हतियार बोक्ने व्यक्ति),
40 Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
यित्री ईरा, यित्री गारेब,
41 Uriah the Hittite, Zabad, the son of Ahlai,
हित्ती उरियाह, अहलैका छोरा जाबाद,
42 Adina, the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him;
रूबेनी शीजाका छोरा अदीना (रूबेनीहरूका प्रधान) र तिनीसँग भएका तिस जना,
43 Hanan, the son of Maacah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,
माकाका छोरा हानान, मित्नी योशापात,
44 Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel, the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,
अस्तेराती उज्जीया, अरोएरका होतामका छोराहरू शमा र यीएल,
45 Jediael, the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,
शिम्रीका छोरा येदीएल, तिजी योहा (तिनका भाइ),
46 Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,
महाबी एलीएल, एल्नामका छोराहरू यरीबै र योशब्याह, मोआबी यित्मा,
47 Eliel and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
एलीएल, ओबेद र मेजोबी यासीएल थिए ।
