< Matthew 5 >

1 When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him,
Jesu n den laa ku niligu, o den doni li juali po. Wan den kali, o hoadikaaba den nagini o kani.
2 and He began to teach them, saying:
O den yaadi ki bangi ba ki yedi:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Li pamanli ye leni yaaba n pia li yumiinli kelima tanpoli diema tie bi yaama.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Li pamanli ye leni yaaba ya pala n biidi, kelima bi baa baagi ba.
5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Li pamanli ye leni yaaba n pia li padingili, kelima bi baa diedi ki tinga.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Li pamanli ye leni mi teginma koma leni mi ñinñuulu n pia yaaba, kelima bi baa guo.
7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Li pamanli ye leni yaaba n gba mi nihima, kelima bi baa gbadi bipo mi nihima.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Li pamanli ye leni bi papiendanba, kelima bi baa la U Tienu.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Li pamanli ye leni yaaba n kpendi nni mi yanduanma, kelima bi baa yini ba U Tienu bila.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Li pamanli ye leni ban wangi yaaba fala kelima mi teginma po, kelima tanpoli diema tie bi yaame.
11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
Yin mangi mani yi pala ki yaa ye leni li pamancianli kelima yi panpaani baa yaba tanpoli po. Bi niba den wangi bi sawalipuaba falabiado yeni, bani yaaba nden ye ke yi daa ye.
13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
Yinba n tie mi yaama handuna po. Mi yaama ya ti luo mi manu, bi baa taa be ki go hanbi ma? Maa go pia fuoma, kali ban lu ma niinnpo bi niba hmaa ma.
14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
Yinba n tie handuna yenma.
15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Yeni yin cedi mani yi yenma n yendi yeni bi niba kani ke ban la yi tuongama ki kpiagi yi Baa yua n ye tanpoli po.
17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Kelima n waani yi i moamoani, hali tanpoli leni ki tinga daa pendi, baa yaa dianu n wa ki cie kan ña li balimaama nni hali likuli n baa tieni ki dudi.
19 So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Yua mo n tiendi man bili yaala ki go bangi ma, o baa tua niciamo tanpoli diema nni.
20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Kelima n yedi yi, yi teginma yaa cie li balimaama bangikaaba leni Falisieninba, yi kan kua tanpoli diema nni.
21 You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder’ and ‘Anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
Yi gbadi ke bi den yedi bi nikpiaba: Han da kpa o nilo, yua n kpa o nilo, bi baa bu ki cuo o.
22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to the fire of hell. (Geenna g1067)
(Geenna g1067)
23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24 leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25 Reconcile quickly with your adversary, while you are still on the way to court. Otherwise, he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
A koaginkoa ya cuo ha ki caani a li bujiali kani, han mangi leni o tonma hali ki daa pundi, ke wan da ti teni o bujialo n cuo ha ki teni a sandalima, wan kuani a li kadidieli nni.
26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
N waani ai moamoani, a kan ña lienni kali a pani kaa ki gbeni kaa sieni liba.
27 You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’
28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Ama mini n yedi yi ke yua n nuali pua ke o yama kua o niinni, o conbi leni o o pali nni no.
29 If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. (Geenna g1067)
A jienunbu ya tie apo tingbali bonla, han logidi bu ki lu foagima, kelima a gbannanbuoyendu ya bodi, li baa hani apo ki cie ban lu a gbannandi kuli ku fantanbuogu nni. (Geenna g1067)
30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to depart into hell. (Geenna g1067)
A jienu ya tie apo tingbali bonla, han jia u ki lu foagima, kelima a gbananabuoyendu ya bodi, li baa hani apo ki cie ban lu a gbannandi kuli ku fantanbuogu nni. (Geenna g1067)
31 It has also been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’
Bi go den yedi: Yua n ñani o pua, wan teni o li poñatili.
32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, brings adultery upon her. And he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Yua n taa poñakoa mo, o conbi.
33 Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’
34 But I tell you not to swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;
Ama mini n yedi yi: Yin da poli baa leni tanpoli kelima li tie U Tienu balikalikaanu.
35 or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
Baa leni ki tinga kelima ki tie o taahmaakaanu, baa leni Jelusalema kelima li tie o badiciamo dogu.
36 Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
Han da poli leni a yuli, kelima a kan fidi ki teni baa yuyengu n pendi, yaaka kun boandi.
37 Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.
Yi ya yedi: Mm, lan ya tie mm. Yi ya yedi: A-a mo, lan ya tie a-a. Kelima yaala n pugidi kuli ji ñani o Biado kane.
38 You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
40 if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well;
Nilo ya bua ki yini a ti buudi ki ga a liadibiga, han teni o a liadicianga mo.
41 and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
Pa yua n mia ha, da buli anunga yua n bua ha ledi o po.
43 You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’
Yi den gbadi ke bi yedi: Han bua a nisaalilielo ki nani a yibali.
44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same?
Li ya tie ke yi bua yaaba n bua yi bebe, yi baa baa bee panpaani yo?
47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?
Yi ya fuondi yi kpiiba bebe, yi tieni be ke li pia mi paadima?
48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
