Luke 5
1 On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,
౧ఒక రోజు యేసు గెన్నేసరెతు సరస్సు తీరాన నిలబడి ఉన్నాడు. ప్రజలు గుంపుగూడి ఆయనపైకి తోసుకువస్తూ దేవుని వాక్కు వింటూ ఉన్నారు.
2 He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
౨ఆ సరస్సు తీరాన ఉన్న రెండు పడవలను ఆయన చూశాడు. చేపలు పట్టేవారు వాటిలో నుండి దిగి తమ వలలు కడుక్కుంటూ ఉన్నారు.
3 Jesus got into the boat belonging to Simon and asked him to put out a little from shore. And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.
౩పడవల్లో సీమోను పడవ ఒకటి. యేసు ఆ పడవ ఎక్కి ఒడ్డు నుండి కొంచెం దూరం తోయమని అతన్ని అడిగాడు. అప్పుడాయన దానిలో కూర్చుని ప్రజలకు బోధించాడు.
4 When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
౪ఆయన మాట్లాడడం అయిపోయిన తరువాత సీమోనుతో, “పడవను లోతుకు నడిపి చేపలు పట్టడానికి వలలు వెయ్యి” అన్నాడు.
5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.”
౫సీమోను, “స్వామీ, రాత్రంతా మేము కష్టపడ్డాం గాని ఏమీ దొరకలేదు. అయినా నీ మాటను బట్టి వల వేస్తాను” అని ఆయనతో అన్నాడు.
6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.
౬వారలా చేసినప్పుడు విస్తారంగా చేపలు పడి వారి వలలు పిగిలి పోసాగాయి.
7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
౭వారు వేరే పడవల్లోని తమ సహచరులను వచ్చి తమకు సహాయం చేయమని వారికి సైగలు చేశారు. వారు వచ్చి రెండు పడవల నిండా చేపలు ఎంతగా నింపారంటే ఆ బరువుకు పడవలు మునిగిపోసాగాయి.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees. “Go away from me, Lord,” he said, “for I am a sinful man.”
౮సీమోను పేతురు అది చూసి, యేసు మోకాళ్ళ ముందు పడి, “ప్రభూ, నేను పాపాత్ముణ్ణి, నన్ను విడిచి వెళ్ళు” అన్నాడు.
9 For he and his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,
౯ఎందుకంటే అతడూ అతనితో ఉన్న వారంతా తాము పట్టిన చేపలు చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపోయారు.
10 and so were his partners James and John, the sons of Zebedee. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to Simon. “From now on you will catch men.”
౧౦వీరిలో సీమోను జతగాళ్ళు జెబెదయి కుమారులు యాకోబు, యోహాను కూడా ఉన్నారు. అందుకు యేసు సీమోనుతో, “భయపడకు! ఇప్పటి నుంచి నీవు మనుషులను పట్టే వాడివవుతావు” అన్నాడు.
11 And when they had brought their boats ashore, they left everything and followed Him.
౧౧వారు పడవలను ఒడ్డుకు చేర్చి అన్నీ వదిలేసి ఆయనను అనుసరించారు.
12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
౧౨యేసు ఒక ఊరిలో ఉన్నప్పుడు ఒళ్లంతా కుష్టు రోగంతో ఒకడు వచ్చాడు. యేసును చూడగానే అతడు సాగిలపడి, “ప్రభూ! నీకిష్టమైతే నన్ను బాగు చేయగలవు” అని ఆయనను వేడుకున్నాడు.
13 Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
౧౩అప్పుడు యేసు తన చెయ్యి చాపి అతన్ని తాకి, “నాకిష్టమే. బాగు పడు” అన్నాడు. వెంటనే అతని కుష్టు వ్యాధి పోయింది.
14 “Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
౧౪“ఈ విషయం ఎవరికీ చెప్పవద్దు. అయితే వెళ్ళి యాజకునికి కనబడు. వారికి సాక్ష్యంగా శుద్ధి కోసం మోషే విధించిన దాన్ని అర్పించు” అని యేసు అతన్ని ఆదేశించాడు.
15 But the news about Jesus spread all the more, and great crowds came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
౧౫అయితే ఆయనను గురించిన సమాచారం ఇంకా ఎక్కువగా వ్యాపించింది. ప్రజలు గుంపులు గుంపులుగా, ఆయన బోధ వినడానికీ తమ రోగాలను బాగుచేసుకోడానికీ వచ్చారు.
16 Yet He frequently withdrew to the wilderness to pray.
౧౬అయితే ఆయన తరచుగా జన సంచారం లేని చోటులకు వెళ్ళిపోయి ప్రార్థన చేసుకునేవాడు.
17 One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.
౧౭ఒక రోజు ఆయన బోధిస్తున్నపుడు గలిలయ, యూదయ ప్రాంతాల్లోని చాలా ఊళ్ళ నుండీ యెరూషలేము నుండీ వచ్చిన పరిసయ్యులూ ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకులూ అక్కడ కూర్చుని ఉన్నారు. స్వస్థపరచే ప్రభువు శక్తి ఆయనలో ఉంది.
18 Just then some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to bring him inside to set him before Jesus,
౧౮కొందరు మనుషులు పక్షవాత రోగిని పరుపు మీద మోసుకు వచ్చారు. అతణ్ణి లోపలికి తెచ్చి, ఆయన ముందు ఉంచాలని చూశారు గాని
19 but they could not find a way through the crowd. So they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
౧౯ప్రజలు కిక్కిరిసి ఉండడం చేత అతణ్ణి లోపలికి తేవడానికి వీలు కాలేదు. కాబట్టి, వారు ఇంటికప్పు మీదికెక్కి పెంకులు తీసి పరుపుతో పాటు రోగిని సరిగ్గా యేసు ముందే దింపారు.
20 When Jesus saw their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
౨౦యేసు వారి విశ్వాసం చూసి, “అయ్యా, నీ పాపాలకు క్షమాపణ దొరికింది” అన్నాడు.
21 But the scribes and Pharisees began thinking to themselves, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
౨౧శాస్త్రులూ పరిసయ్యులూ, “దేవదూషణ చేస్తున్న ఇతడు ఎవడు? దేవుడు తప్ప పాపాలు ఎవరు క్షమించగలరు?” అనుకున్నారు
22 Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus replied, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
౨౨యేసు వారి ఆలోచన గ్రహించి, “మీరు మీ హృదయాల్లో అలా ఎందుకు ఆలోచిస్తున్నారు?
23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk?’
౨౩ఏది సులభమంటారు? ‘నీ పాపాలు క్షమిస్తున్నాను’ అనడమా, ‘లేచి నడువు’ అనడమా?
24 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
౨౪అయితే మనుష్యకుమారుడికి భూమి మీద పాపాలు క్షమించే అధికారం ఉందని మీరు తెలుసుకోవాలి” అన్నాడు. తరువాత పక్షవాత రోగిని చూసి, “లేచి, నీ పరుపు తీసుకుని ఇంటికి వెళ్ళు” అన్నాడు.
25 And immediately the man stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God.
౨౫వెంటనే వాడు వారి ముందే లేచి నిలబడి, తాను పడుకున్న పరుపు ఎత్తుకుని, దేవుణ్ణి స్తుతిస్తూ తన ఇంటికి వెళ్ళాడు.
26 Everyone was taken with amazement and glorified God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
౨౬అందరూ విస్మయం చెంది, “ఈ రోజు విచిత్రమైన విషయాలు చూశాం” అని దేవుణ్ణి స్తుతిస్తూ భయంతో నిండిపోయారు.
27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,
౨౭ఆ తరువాత ఆయన బయటికి వెళ్ళి పన్నులు వసూలు చేసే లేవీ అనే ఒక వ్యక్తిని చూశాడు. అతడు పన్నులు కట్టించుకొనే చోట కూర్చుని ఉన్నాడు. ఆయన అతనితో, “నా వెంట రా” అన్నాడు.
28 and Levi got up, left everything, and followed Him.
౨౮అతడు అంతా విడిచిపెట్టి, లేచి ఆయనను అనుసరించాడు.
29 Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them.
౨౯లేవీ తన ఇంట్లో ఆయనకు గొప్ప విందు చేశాడు. చాలా మంది పన్నులు వసూలు చేసే వారూ వేరే వారూ వారితో కూడ భోజనానికి కూర్చున్నారు.
30 But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
౩౦పరిసయ్యులూ వారి శాస్త్రులూ, “మీరు పన్నులు వసూలు చేసే వారితో, పాపులతో కలిసి తిని తాగుతున్నారేంటి?” అని శిష్యుల మీద సణుక్కున్నారు.
31 Jesus answered, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
౩౧అందుకు యేసు, “రోగులకే గాని ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉన్నవారికి వైద్యుడు అక్కర లేదు.
32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
౩౨పశ్చాత్తాప పడడానికి నేను పాపులనే పిలవడానికి వచ్చాను గాని నీతిమంతులను కాదు” అన్నాడు.
33 Then they said to Him, “John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees frequently fast and pray, but Yours keep on eating and drinking.”
౩౩వారాయనతో, “యోహాను శిష్యులు తరచుగా ఉపవాస ప్రార్థనలు చేస్తారు. పరిసయ్యుల శిష్యులు కూడా అలాగే చేస్తారు. కానీ నీ శిష్యులు తిని తాగుతూ ఉన్నారు” అని అన్నారు.
34 Jesus replied, “Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them?
౩౪అందుకు యేసు, “పెళ్ళి కొడుకు తమతో ఉన్నంత కాలం పెళ్ళి ఇంట్లో ఉన్న వారితో మీరు ఉపవాసం చేయించగలరా?
35 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.”
౩౫పెళ్ళి కొడుకును వారి దగ్గర నుండి తీసుకు పోయే రోజులు వస్తాయి. ఆ రోజుల్లో వారు ఉపవాసం చేస్తారు” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు.
36 He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will tear the new garment as well, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
౩౬ఆయన వారికి ఒక ఉపమానం చెప్పాడు, “ఎవరూ పాత బట్టకు కొత్త గుడ్డ మాసిక వేయరు. ఒక వేళ అలా చేస్తే కొత్త బట్ట చింపవలసి వస్తుంది. కొత్తదానిలో నుండి తీసిన ముక్క పాతదానితో కలవదు.
37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined.
౩౭ఎవడూ పాత తిత్తుల్లో కొత్త ద్రాక్షారసం పోయడు. పోస్తే కొత్త ద్రాక్షారసం వలన ఆ తిత్తులు చినిగిపోతాయి. రసం కారిపోతుంది. తిత్తులు పాడవుతాయి.
38 Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.
౩౮అయితే కొత్త ద్రాక్షారసం కొత్త తిత్తుల్లోనే పోయాలి.
39 And no one after drinking old wine wants new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
౩౯పాత ద్రాక్షారసం తాగిన తరువాత కొత్త దాన్ని ఎవరూ ఆశించరు. ఎందుకంటే ‘పాతదే బాగుంది,’ అంటారు.”
