Luke 5
1 On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,
Es geschah aber, da das Volk ihn drängte, um das Wort Gottes zu hören, da stand er am See Genezareth,
2 He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
Und sah zwei Boote am See stehen; die Fischer aber waren ausgetreten aus ihnen, und wuschen ihre Netze.
3 Jesus got into the boat belonging to Simon and asked him to put out a little from shore. And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.
Da er aber in eins der Boote getreten war, das Simon gehörte, bat er ihn, ein wenig vom Lande wegzufahren, und setzte sich, und lehrte die Volkshaufen aus dem Boote.
4 When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
Als er aber aufhörte zu reden, sprach er zu Simon: Fahre auf die Höhe, und werfet eure Netze aus, zum Fange.
5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.”
Und Simon antwortete, und sprach zu ihm: Meister, die ganze nacht hindurch haben wir uns gemüht, und nichts gefangen; auf dein Wort aber will ich das Netz auswerfen.
6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.
Und als sie das taten, umschlossen sie eine große Menge Fische, und es zerriß ihr Netz.
7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
Und sie winkten ihren Genossen im andern Boot, daß sie kämen, und hälfen ihnen ziehen. Und sie kamen und füllten beide Boote, so daß sie sanken.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees. “Go away from me, Lord,” he said, “for I am a sinful man.”
Da das Simon Petrus sah, fiel er zu den Knieen Jesu, und sprach: Gehe hinaus von mir, denn ich bin ein sündiger Mann, Herr!
9 For he and his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,
Denn ein Schrecken war ihn angekommen, und alle, die mit ihm waren, ob dem Fang der Fische, den sie getan hatten;
10 and so were his partners James and John, the sons of Zebedee. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to Simon. “From now on you will catch men.”
Desgleichen auch Jakobus und Johannes, die Söhne Zebedäi, welche Simons Genossen waren. Und Jesus sprach zu Simon: Fürchte dich nicht! von nun an wirst du Menschen fangen.
11 And when they had brought their boats ashore, they left everything and followed Him.
Und sie führten die Schiffe ans Land, und verließen alles, und folgten ihm nach.
12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Und es geschah, als er in einer der Städte war, und siehe, da war ein Mann voll Aussatz. Und als er Jesus sah, fiel er auf sein Angesicht, bat ihn und sprach: Herr, wenn du willst, kannst du mich reinigen.
13 Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
Und er streckte seine Hand aus, rührte ihn an, und sprach: Ich will, sei gereinigt; und alsbald ging der Aussatz von ihm.
14 “Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
Und er gebot ihm, es niemand zu sagen, sondern gehe hin, zeige dich dem Priestern, und opfere für deine Reinigung, wie Moses geboten hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis.
15 But the news about Jesus spread all the more, and great crowds came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
Es kam aber die Rede von ihm um so mehr herum; und es kamen viele Volkshaufen, zu hören von ihm, und geheilt zu werden von ihren Krankheiten.
16 Yet He frequently withdrew to the wilderness to pray.
Er aber entwich in die Wüste, und betete.
17 One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.
Und es geschah an einem der Tage, daß er lehrte, und Pharisäer und Gesetzeslehrer saßen da, welche gekommen waren aus allen Dörfern Galiläas und Judäas und von Jerusalem; und die Kraft des Herrn war da, daß er sie heilte.
18 Just then some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to bring him inside to set him before Jesus,
Und siehe, Männer brachten einen Menschen auf einem Bett, der war gichtbrüchig, und sie suchten ihn hineinzutragen, und vor ihn zu legen.
19 but they could not find a way through the crowd. So they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
Und als sie nicht fanden, wo sie ihn hineinbrächten, von wegen des Volkshaufens, stiegen sie auf das Dach, und ließen ihn durch die Ziegel herab, samt dem Bette, mitten vor Jesus.
20 When Jesus saw their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
Und als er ihren Glauben sah, sprach er: Mensch, deine Sünden sind dir vergeben.
21 But the scribes and Pharisees began thinking to themselves, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Und die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer fingen an zu denken: Wer ist dieser, der Lästerungen redet? Wer kann Sünden vergeben, außer allein Gott?
22 Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus replied, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
Jesus aber merkte ihre Gedanken, antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Was denkt ihr in euern Herzen?
23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk?’
Was ist leichter zu sagen: Deine Sünden sind dir vergeben, oder zu sagen: Stehe auf und wandle?
24 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
Damit ihr aber wisset, daß der Menschensohn Macht hat auf Erden, Sünden zu vergeben, spricht er zu dem Gichtbrüchigen: Ich sage dir: Stehe auf, nimm dein Bett, und gehe in dein Haus.
25 And immediately the man stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God.
Und plötzlich stund er auf vor ihnen, nahm auf das, worauf er gelegen hatte, und ging hin in sein Haus, indem er Gott pries.
26 Everyone was taken with amazement and glorified God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
Und Verwunderung ergriff alle, und sie priesen Gott, und wurden voll Furcht, und sprachen: Wir haben heute unerhörte Dinge gesehen.
27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,
Und nach diesem ging er hinaus, und sah einen Zöllner, mit Namen Levi, an der Zollstätte sitzen, und sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach!
28 and Levi got up, left everything, and followed Him.
Und er verließ alles, stund auf, und folgte ihm nach.
29 Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them.
Und Levi richtete ihm ein großes Gastmahl zu in seinem Hause, und viel Volk von Zöllnern und andern lag mit ihm nieder.
30 But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
Und ihre Pharisäer und Schriftgelehrten murrten wider seine Jünger, und sprachen: Warum esset und trinket ihr mit den Zöllnern und Sündern.
31 Jesus answered, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
Und Jesus antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Die Gesunden haben den Arzt nicht nötig, sondern die Kranken.
32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Ich bin nicht gekommen, Gerechte, sondern Sünder zur Gesinnungsänderung zu rufen.
33 Then they said to Him, “John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees frequently fast and pray, but Yours keep on eating and drinking.”
Sie aber sprachen zu ihm: Warum fasten die Jünger Johannis häufig, und verrichten Gebete, desgleichen die der Pharisäer, die deinigen aber essen und trinken?
34 Jesus replied, “Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them?
Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Ihr könnet nicht die Söhne des Hochzeitshauses, während der Bräutigam bei ihnen ist, fasten machen.
35 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.”
Es werden aber Tage kommen, nämlich wann der Bräutigam von ihnen genommen ist, dann werden sie fasten in jenen Tagen.
36 He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will tear the new garment as well, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
Er sprach aber auch ein Gleichnis zu ihnen: Niemand reißt und flickt einen Lappen von einem neuen Kleid auf ein altes Kleid, sonst zerreißt er das neue, und der Lappen vom neuen paßt doch nicht zum alten.
37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined.
Und niemand tut jungen Wein in alte Schläuche, sonst zerreißt der junge Wein die Schläuche, und er wird verschüttet, und die Schläuche kommen um,
38 Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.
Sondern jungen Wein muß man in neue Schläuche tun und so werden beide erhalten.
39 And no one after drinking old wine wants new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
Und niemand, der alten trinkt, will sogleich jungen, denn er sagt: Der alte ist besser.
