Luke 5
1 On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,
Und es geschah einmal, - er stand am See Genesareth -, daß sich das Volk an ihn herandrängte, um das Wort Gottes zu hören.
2 He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
Er sah zwei Boote am Ufer liegen; die Fischer waren ausgestiegen und wuschen ihre Netze.
3 Jesus got into the boat belonging to Simon and asked him to put out a little from shore. And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.
Er stieg in eines der Boote, das dem Simon gehörte, und bat ihn, vom Land ein wenig abzustoßen. Dann setzte er sich nieder und lehrte die Scharen vom Boote aus.
4 When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”
Als er zu reden aufgehört hatte, sagte er zu Simon: "Fahr auf die hohe See und werft eure Netze aus zum Fange!"
5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.”
Doch Simon sprach zu ihm: "Meister, die ganze Nacht haben wir uns abgeplagt und trotzdem nichts gefangen. Allein auf dein Wort hin will ich die Netze auswerfen."
6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.
Sie taten es und fingen eine große Menge Fische; die Netze drohten zu zerreißen.
7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
Sie winkten den Gefährten im anderen Boote, sie sollten kommen und mit anfassen. Und diese kamen, und man füllte beide Boote, so daß sie beinahe versanken.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees. “Go away from me, Lord,” he said, “for I am a sinful man.”
Als Simon Petrus das sah, fiel er Jesus zu Füßen mit den Worten: "Herr, geh weg von mir; ich bin ein sündiger Mensch."
9 For he and his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,
Denn Schrecken hatte ihn ergriffen und alle, die bei ihm waren, des Fischfangs wegen, den sie gemacht hatten;
10 and so were his partners James and John, the sons of Zebedee. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to Simon. “From now on you will catch men.”
desgleichen auch Jakobus und Johannes, die Söhne des Zebedäus, die Simons Gefährten waren. Jesus aber sprach zu Simon: "Hab keine Furcht! Von nun an sollst du Menschenfischer sein."
11 And when they had brought their boats ashore, they left everything and followed Him.
Sie zogen ihre Boote ans Land, verließen alles und gingen mit ihm fort.
12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
In einer jener Städte, wo er weilte, war ein Mann ganz vom Aussatz bedeckt. Als er Jesus sah, warf er sich vor ihm auf sein Antlitz nieder und bat: "Herr, wenn du willst, kannst du mich rein machen."
13 Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.
Da streckte er die Hand aus, berührte ihn und sprach: "Ich will: sei rein!" Und sogleich wich von ihm der Aussatz.
14 “Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
Er sprach zu ihm: "Sage es niemand! Geh vielmehr hin, zeige dich dem Priester und opfere für deine Reinigung die Gabe, wie sie Moses vorgeschrieben hat; sie mögen dies zum Zeugnis nehmen."
15 But the news about Jesus spread all the more, and great crowds came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
Jedoch die Kunde über ihn breitete sich immer weiter aus. In Scharen strömten sie zusammen, um ihn zu hören und von ihren Krankheiten geheilt zu werden.
16 Yet He frequently withdrew to the wilderness to pray.
Er aber zog sich zum Gebet in die Einsamkeit zurück.
17 One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick.
Er lehrte eines Tages, und Pharisäer und Gesetzeslehrer, die aus allen Flecken Galiläas und Judäas und aus Jerusalem gekommen waren, saßen auch dabei. Die Kraft des Herrn trieb ihn zu Heilungen.
18 Just then some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They tried to bring him inside to set him before Jesus,
Und siehe, Männer brachten auf einer Bahre einen Lahmen her. Und sie versuchten, ihn hineinzubringen und ihn vor ihn hinzulegen.
19 but they could not find a way through the crowd. So they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
Doch wegen des Gedränges konnten sie ihn nirgends hineinbringen, und so stiegen sie auf das Dach und ließen ihn durch die Ziegel mitsamt dem Bett hinab, mitten hin vor Jesus.
20 When Jesus saw their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”
Wie er ihren Glauben sah, da sagte er: "Mann, vergeben sind dir deine Sünden."
21 But the scribes and Pharisees began thinking to themselves, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Die Schriftgelehrten und die Pharisäer aber machten sich Gedanken. Sie sprachen: "Wer ist dieser, der Gotteslästerungen spricht? Wer kann denn Sünden vergeben als Gott allein?"
22 Knowing what they were thinking, Jesus replied, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
Doch Jesus wußte, was sie dachten, und sprach zu ihnen: "Was denkt ihr in euren Herzen?
23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk?’
Was ist leichter, zu sagen: Vergeben sind dir deine Sünden, oder zu sagen: Steh auf und geh umher?
24 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
Ihr sollt aber sehen, daß der Menschensohn die Macht besitzt, auf Erden Sünden zu vergeben." Dann sprach er zu dem Lahmen: "Ich sage dir: Steh auf, nimm dein Bett und geh nach Hause!"
25 And immediately the man stood up before them, took what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God.
Sofort erhob er sich vor ihren Augen, nahm das Bett, auf dem er gelegen hatte, ging nach Hause und pries Gott.
26 Everyone was taken with amazement and glorified God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
Da kamen alle außer sich; sie lobten Gott und sagten voll Furcht: "Heute haben wir Unglaubliches gesehen."
27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him,
Dann ging er fort; da sah er einen Zöllner namens Levi an der Zollstätte sitzen. Er sprach zu ihm: "Folge mir!"
28 and Levi got up, left everything, and followed Him.
Und er verließ alles, stand auf und folgte ihm.
29 Then Levi hosted a great banquet for Jesus at his house. A large crowd of tax collectors was there, along with others who were eating with them.
Danach hielt Levi ihm in seinem Haus ein großes Mahl. Eine große Menge Zöllner und andere saßen mit zu Tische.
30 But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
Da murrten die Pharisäer und die Schriftgelehrten und fragten seine Jünger: "Warum eßt und trinkt ihr denn mit Zöllnern und mit Sündern?"
31 Jesus answered, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
ich bin nicht dazu da, Gerechte zu berufen, sondern Sünder zur Buße."
33 Then they said to Him, “John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees frequently fast and pray, but Yours keep on eating and drinking.”
Da sagten sie zu ihm: "Die Jünger des Johannes und die der Pharisäer fasten viel und beten eifrig, die deinen aber essen und trinken."
34 Jesus replied, “Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them?
Doch Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Könnt ihr die Hochzeitsgäste fasten lassen, solange der Bräutigam noch unter ihnen weilt?
35 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.”
Es werden aber Tage kommen, da ihnen der Bräutigam entrissen ist; in jenen Tagen werden sie dann gleichfalls fasten."
36 He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will tear the new garment as well, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
Alsdann erzählte er ihnen auch ein Gleichnis: "Niemand reißt ein Stückchen Tuch von einem neuen Kleide ab und näht es auf ein altes Kleid; sonst ist ja das neue Kleid zerrissen, und auch zum alten paßt das Stück vom neuen nicht.
37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined.
Und niemand füllt jungen Wein in alte Schläuche, sonst sprengt der junge Wein die Schläuche, er selbst läuft aus, und auch die Schläuche sind verdorben.
38 Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.
Nein, jungen Wein muß man in neue Schläuche füllen dann hält beides.
39 And no one after drinking old wine wants new, for he says, ‘The old is better.’”
Und niemand, der alten Wein getrunken hat, mag gleich daraufhin neuen. Er sagt: 'Der alte schmeckt doch besser.'"
