Luke 10
1 And after these things, the Lord appointed seventy others, also, and sent them, two and two, before his face, into every city and place to which he himself was about to go.
E depois disto designou o Senhor ainda outros setenta, e mandou-os adiante da sua face, de dois em dois, a todas as cidades e lugares onde ele havia de ir.
2 He said, therefore, to them: The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that he send out laborers into his harvest.
E dizia-lhes; Grande é, em verdade, a seara, mas os obreiros são poucos; rogai pois ao Senhor da seara que envie obreiros para a sua seara.
3 Go; behold, I send you as lambs in the midst of wolves.
Ide: eis que vos mando como cordeiros para o meio de lobos.
4 Carry no purse, nor bag, nor sandals; and salute no one on the road.
Não leveis bolsa, nem alforge, nem alparcas; e a ninguém saudeis pelo caminho.
5 Whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
E, em qualquer casa aonde entrardes, dizei primeiro: Paz seja nesta casa.
6 And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest on him; but, if not, it shall return upon you.
E, se ali houver algum filho de paz, repousará sobre ele a vossa paz; e, se não, voltará para vós.
7 And in that house remain, eating and drinking what they have to give; for the laborer is worthy of his hire; go not from house to house.
E ficai na mesma casa, comendo e bebendo do que eles tiverem, pois digno é o obreiro do seu salário. Não andeis de casa em casa.
8 And whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you;
E, em qualquer cidade em que entrardes, e vos receberem, comei do que vos puserem adiante.
9 and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them: The kingdom of God has come near to you.
E curai os enfermos que nela houver, e dizei-lhes: É chegado a vós o reino de Deus.
10 But whatever city you enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets of it, and say:
Mas em qualquer cidade, em que entrardes e vos não receberem, saindo por suas ruas, dizei:
11 Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us, we do wipe off against you; yet know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you.
Até o pó, que da vossa cidade se nos pegou, sacudimos sobre vós. Sabei, todavia, isto, que já o reino de Deus é chegado a vós.
12 I say to you, It shall be more tolerable, in that day, for Sodom, than for that city.
E digo-vos que mais tolerância haverá naquele dia para Sodoma do que para aquela cidade.
13 Alas for thee, Chorazin! alas for thee, Bethsaida! for, if the mighty works which have been done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
Ai de ti, Corazin, ai de ti, Betsaida! que, se em Tiro e em Sidon se fizessem as maravilhas que em vós foram feitas, já há muito, assentadas em saco e cinza, se teriam arrependido.
14 But for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment, than for you.
Portanto, para Tiro e Sidon será mais tolerável no juízo, do que para vós.
15 And thou, Capernaum, who hast been exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to hades. (Hadēs g86)
E tu, Cafarnaum, que estás levantada até ao céu, até ao inferno serás abatida. (Hadēs g86)
16 He that hears you, hears me; and he that rejects you, rejects me; and he that rejects me, rejects him that sent me.
Quem vos ouve a vós, a mim me ouve; e, quem vos rejeita a vós, a mim me rejeita; e, quem a mim me rejeita, rejeita aquele que me enviou.
17 And the seventy returned with joy, and said: Lord, even the demons are subject to us through thy name.
E voltaram os setenta com alegria, dizendo: Senhor, em teu nome, até os demônios se nos sujeitam.
18 And he said to them: I saw Satan, like lightning from heaven, falling.
E disse-lhes: Eu via Satanás, como raio, cair do céu.
19 Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Eis que vos dou poder para pisar as serpentes e escorpiões, e toda a força do inimigo, e nada vos fará dano algum.
20 However, rejoice not in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
Mas não vos alegreis por isso, que se vos sujeitem os espíritos; alegrai-vos antes por estarem os vossos nomes escritos nos céus.
21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said: I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes; even so, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight.
Naquela mesma hora se alegrou Jesus em espírito, e disse: Graças te dou, ó Pai, Senhor do céu e da terra, que escondeste estas coisas aos sábios e inteligentes, e as revelaste às criancinhas; assim é, ó Pai, porque assim te aprouve.
22 All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
Todas as coisas me foram entregues por meu Pai; e ninguém conhece quem é o Filho senão o Pai, nem quem é o Pai senão o Filho, e aquele a quem o Filho o quizer revelar.
23 And he turned to his disciples, and said privately: Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
E, voltando-se para os seus discípulos, disse-lhes em particular: bem-aventurados os olhos que veem o que vós vêdes;
24 For I say to you, that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see; and to hear what you hear, and did not hear.
Porque vos digo que muitos profetas e reis desejaram ver o que vós vêdes, e não o viram; e ouvir o que ouvis, e não o ouviram.
25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up to tempt him, and said: Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
E eis que se levantou um certo doutor da lei, tentando-o, e dizendo: Mestre, que farei para herdar a vida eterna? (aiōnios g166)
26 He said to him: What is written in the law? How do you read?
E ele lhe disse: Que está escrito na lei? Como lês?
27 He answered and said: You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole strength, and with your whole understanding, and your neighbor as yourself.
E, respondendo ele, disse: Amarás ao Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, e de toda a tua alma, e de todas as tuas forças, e de todo o teu entendimento; e ao teu próximo como a ti mesmo.
28 He said to him: You have answered correctly; do this, and you shall live.
E disse-lhe: Respondeste bem; faze isso, e viverás.
29 But, wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus: And who is my neighbor?
Ele, porém, querendo justificar-se a si mesmo, disse a Jesus: E quem é o meu próximo?
30 And Jesus answered and said: A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among; robbers, who stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and went away, leaving him half dead.
E, respondendo Jesus, disse: Descia um homem de Jerusalém para Jericó, e caiu nas mãos dos salteadores, os quais o despojaram, e, espancando-o, se retiraram, deixando-o meio morto.
31 And by chance a certain priest went down along that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
E, por acaso, descia pelo mesmo caminho um certo sacerdote; e, vendo-o, passou de largo.
32 In like manner, also, a Levite, when he came to the place, went and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
E d'igual modo também um levita, chegando-se ao lugar, e vendo-o, passou de largo.
33 But a certain Samaritan, who was on a journey, came near him; and when he saw him, he had compassion on him.
Porém um certo samaritano, que ia de viagem, chegou ao pé dele, e, vendo-o, moveu-se de intima compaixão;
34 And he went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine; and he put him on his own beast, and carried him to an inn, and took care of him.
E, aproximando-se, atou-lhe as feridas, deitando-lhe azeite e vinho; e, pondo-o sobre a sua cavalgadura, levou-o para uma estalagem, e cuidou dele;
35 And on the morrow, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him: Take care of him; and whatever you spend more, on my return, I will repay you.
E, partindo ao outro dia, tirou dois dinheiros, e deu-os ao hospedeiro, e disse-lhe: Cuida dele; e tudo o que de mais gastares, eu to pagarei quando voltar.
36 Which, then, of these three do you think was neighbor to him that fell among the robbers?
Qual, pois, destes três te parece que foi o próximo daquele que caiu nas mãos dos salteadores?
37 He replied: He that showed mercy to him. Jesus said to him: Go, and do you likewise.
E ele disse: O que usou de misericórdia para com ele. Disse, pois, Jesus: vai, e faze da mesma maneira.
38 And it came to pass, as they continued their journey, that he entered a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
E aconteceu que, indo eles de caminho, entrou numa aldeia; e uma certa mulher, por nome Martha, o recebeu em sua casa;
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at the feet of Jesus, and heard his word.
E tinha esta uma irmã chamada Maria, a qual, assentando-se também aos pés de Jesus, ouvia a sua palavra.
40 But Martha made herself busy with much serving; and she came to him, and said: Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Bid her, therefore, that she help me.
Porém Martha andava distraída em muitos serviços, e, chegando, disse: Senhor, não se te dá de que minha irmã me deixe servir só? Dize-lhe pois que me ajude
41 But Jesus answered and said to her: Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things:
E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Martha, Martha, andas cuidadosa e afadigada com muitas coisas,
42 one thing is needful; and Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken from her.
Mas uma só é necessária; e Maria escolheu a boa parte, a qual não lhe será tirada.
