Nehemiah 12
1 Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

5 Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

6 Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah.

7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
Salú, Amoc, Hilcías, Jedaías. Estos eran los príncipes de los sacerdotes y sus hermanos en los días de Jesúa.
8 Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, [and] Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.
Y los levitas: Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá, y Matanías, que con sus hermanos oficiaba en los cantos de alabanza.
9 Also Bakbukiah and Unno, their brethren, were over against them according to their offices.
Y Bacbuquías y Uni, sus hermanos, delante de ellos en las guardas.
10 And Jeshua begat Joiakim, and Joiakim begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,
Y Jesúa engendró a Joiacim, y Joiacim engendró a Eliasib y Eliasib engendró a Joiada,
11 and Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.
Joiada engendró a Jonatán, y Jonatán engendró a Jadúa.
12 And in the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of fathers’ [houses]: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
Y en los días de Joiacim los sacerdotes cabezas de familias fueron: de Seraías, Meraías; de Jeremías, Hananías;
13 of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
de Esdras, Mesulam; de Amarías, Johanán;
14 of Malluchi, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;
de Melicú, Jonatán; de Sebanías, José;
15 of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

20 of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

21 of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.

22 As for the Levites, in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, there were recorded the heads of fathers’ [houses]; also the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian.
Los levitas en días de Eliasib, de Joiada, de Johanán y de Jadúa, fueron inscritos por cabezas de familias; también los sacerdotes, hasta el reinado de Darío el Persa.
23 The sons of Levi, heads of fathers’ [houses], were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
Los hijos de Leví, cabezas de familias, fueron inscritos en el libro de las Crónicas hasta los días de Johanán, hijo de Eliasib.
24 And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, watch next to watch.
Los cabezas de los levitas: Hasabías, Serebías, Jesúa hijo de Cadmiel, y sus hermanos delante de ellos, para alabar y para rendir gracias, conforme al estatuto de David varón de Dios, guardando su turno.
25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the watch at the store-houses of the gates.
Matanías y Bacbuquías, Obadías, Mesulam, Talmón y Acub, guardas, eran porteros para la guardia a las entradas de las puertas.
26 These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest the scribe.
Estos fueron en los días de Joiacim, hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en los días de Nehemías capitán, y de Esdras sacerdote, escriba.
27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
Y a la dedicación del muro de Jerusalén buscaron a los levitas de todos sus lugares, para traerlos a Jerusalén, para hacer la dedicación y la fiesta con alabanzas y con cánticos, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras.
28 And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites;
Y fueron reunidos los hijos de los cantores, así de la campiña alrededor de Jerusalén como de las aldeas de Netofati;
29 also from Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
y de la casa de Gilgal, y de los campos de Geba, y de Azmavet; porque los cantores se habían edificado aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.
30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
Y se purificaron los sacerdotes y los levitas; y purificaron al pueblo, y las puertas, y el muro.
31 Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies that gave thanks and went in procession; [whereof one went] on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:
Hice luego subir a los príncipes de Judá sobre el muro, y puse dos coros grandes que fueron en procesión; el uno a la mano derecha sobre el muro hacia la puerta del Muladar.
32 and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
E iba tras de ellos Osaías, y la mitad de los príncipes de Judá,
33 and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
y Azarías, Esdras y Mesulam,
34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,
Judá y Benjamín, y Semaías, y Jeremías;
35 and certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;
y de los hijos de los sacerdotes iban con trompetas: Zacarías hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf;
36 and his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was before them.
y sus hermanos Semaías y Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Judá y Hanani, con los instrumentos musicales de David varón de Dios; y Esdras escriba, delante de ellos.
37 And by the fountain gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
Y a la puerta de la Fuente, y delante de ellos, subieron por las gradas de la ciudad de David, por la subida del muro, desde la casa de David hasta la puerta de las Aguas al oriente.
38 And the other company of them that gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, upon the wall, above the tower of the furnaces, even unto the broad wall,
Y el segundo coro iba del lado opuesto, y yo en pos de él, con la mitad del pueblo sobre el muro, desde la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho;
39 and above the gate of Ephraim, and by the old gate, and by the fish gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the gate of the guard.
y desde la puerta de Efraín hasta la puerta vieja, y a la puerta de los Peces, y la torre de Hananeel, y la torre de Hamea, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas; y pararon en la puerta de la Guarda.
40 So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me;
Pararon luego los dos coros en la Casa de Dios; y yo, y la mitad de los magistrados conmigo;
41 and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
y los sacerdotes, Eliacim, Maaseías, Miniamín, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías, y Hananías, con trompetas;
42 and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
y Maasías, y Semaías, y Eleazar, y Uzi, y Johanán, y Malquías, y Elam, y Ezer. Y los cantores cantaban alto, e Izrahías era el prefecto.
43 And they offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
Y sacrificaron aquel día gran número de víctimas, e hicieron alegrías; porque Dios los había alegrado con gran gozo; se alegraron también las mujeres y los niños; y el alborozo de Jerusalén fue oído de lejos.
44 And on that day were men appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave-offerings, for the first-fruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, according to the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.
Y en aquel día fueron puestos varones sobres las cámaras de los tesoros, de las ofrendas, de las primicias, y de los diezmos; para juntar en ellas, de los campos de la ciudades, las porciones legales para los sacerdotes y para los levitas; porque la alegría de Judá era sobre los sacerdotes y levitas que servían.
45 And they kept the charge of their God, and the charge of the purification, and [so did] the singers and the porters, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
Y guardaban la observancia de su Dios, y la observancia de la expiación, y los cantores y los porteros, conforme al estatuto de David y de Salomón su hijo.
46 For in the days of David and Asaph of old there was a chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
Porque desde el tiempo de David y de Asaf, y de antes, había príncipes de cantores, y cántico y alabanza, y acción de gracias a Dios.
47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, as every day required: and they set apart [that which was] for the Levites; and the Levites set apart [that which was] for the sons of Aaron.
Y todo Israel en días de Zorobabel, y en días de Nehemías, daba raciones a los cantores y a los porteros, cada cosa en su día; y santificaban a los levitas, y los levitas santificaban a los hijos de Aarón.
