John 4
1 When therefore the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John
၁ယေရှုသည် ကိုယ်တိုင်ဗတ္တိဇံကို ပေးတော်မမူ။
2 (although Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples),
၂တပည့်တော်တို့သာလျှင် ပေးကြသော်လည်း၊ ယေရှုသည် ယောဟန်ထက်သာ၍များသော သူတို့ကို တပည့်တော်ဖြစ်စေ၍၊ ဗတ္တိဇံကိုပေးကြောင်းကို ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် ကြားပြီဟု သခင်ဘုရားသိတော်မူသောအခါ၊
3 he left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee.
၃ယုဒပြည်မှ ထွက်သွား၍ ဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့ တဖန် ကြွတော်မူစဉ်တွင်၊
4 And he must needs pass through Samaria.
၄ရှမာရိပြည်အလယ်၌ ရှောက်သွားရ၏။
5 So he cometh to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph:
၅ယာကုပ်သည် မိမိသားယောသပ်အား ပေးသောမြေအကွက်နှင့်အနီး၊ ရှမာရိနယ်၊ ရှုခါအမည်ရှိသော မြို့သို့ ရောက်တော်မူ၏။
6 and Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
၆ထိုအရပ်၌ယာကုပ်၏ ရေတွင်းရှိ၏။ ယေရှုသည် ခရီးသွား၍ ပင်ပန်းသောကြောင့် ရေတွင်းနားမှာ ထိုင်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုအချိန်သည် ခြောက်နာရီအချိန်ဖြစ်၏။
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
၇ရှမာရိမိန်းမတယောက်သည် ရေခပ်ခြင်းငှါ လာ၍၊ ယေရှုက၊ ငါသောက်ဘို့ရေပေးပါဟု ထိုမိန်းမအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
8 For his disciples were gone away into the city to buy food.
၈အကြောင်းမူကား၊ တပည့်တော်တို့သည် စားစရာကိုဝယ်ခြင်းငှါ မြို့ထဲသို့သွားကြသည် အခိုက် ဖြစ်သတည်း။
9 The Samaritan woman therefore saith unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, who am a Samaritan woman? (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
၉ထိုမိန်းမကလည်း၊ သင်သည်ယုဒလူဖြစ်လျက်ပင်၊ ရှမာရိမိန်းမဖြစ်သောအကျွန်ုပ်ကိုအဘယ်ကြောင့် သောက်ဘို့တောင်းသနည်းဟုဆို၏။ ဆိုသည်အကြောင်းကား၊ ယုဒလူတို့သည် ရှမာရိလူတို့နှင့်ပေါင်းဘော်ခြင်း မရှိ။
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
၁၀ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို၎င်း၊ ငါသောက်ဘို့ရေပေးပါဟုဆိုသော သူကား အဘယ် သူဖြစ်သည်ကို၎င်း သင်သည်သိလျှင် ထိုသူကိုတောင်းလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုသူသည်လည်း အသက်ရေကို ပေးလိမ့်မည် ဟုပြန်၍ မိန့်တော်မူသော်၊
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou that living water?
၁၁မိန်းမက၊ သခင်၌ရေခပ်စရာမရှိ ရေတွင်းလည်း နက်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အသက်ရေကို အဘယ်သို့ရပါ မည်နည်း။
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his sons, and his cattle?
၁၂ဤရေတွင်းကို ငါတို့အဘ ယာကုပ်သည် ငါတို့အား ပေး၏။ သူ့ကိုယ်တိုင်မှစ၍၊ သားသမီး၊ တိရိစ္ဆာန် များတို့သည် ဤတွင်းရေကိုသောက်ကြပြီ။ သခင်သည် ထိုသူထက်ကြီးမြတ်သလောဟုဆို၏။
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Every one that drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
၁၃ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ဤရေကိုသောက်သောသူသည် နောက်တဖန် ရေငတ်ဦးမည်။
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come all the way hither to draw.
၁၅မိန်းမကလည်း၊ သခင်၊ ကျွန်ုပ်သည်ရေငတ်ခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း၊ သည်ကိုလာ၍ရေခပ်ခြင်းနှင့်၎င်း ကင်းလွတ် မည်အကြောင်း ထိုရေကိုပေးပါဟု တောင်းလျှင်၊
16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
၁၆ယေရှုက၊ သွားလော့။ သင်၏လင်ကိုခေါ်၍ သည်ကိုလာဦးလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
17 The woman answered and said unto him, I have no husband. Jesus saith unto her, Thou saidst well, I have no husband:
၁၇မိန်းမကလည်း။ အကျွန်ုပ်၌လင်မရှိဟုဆိုလျှင်၊ ယေရှုက၊ လင်မရှိဟူသောစကားသည်မှန်၏။
18 for thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: this hast thou said truly.
၁၈အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်၌လင်ငါးယောက်ရှိဘူးပြီ။ ယခုသင်နှင့်နေသောသူသည် သင်၏လင်မဟုတ်။ ဤအရာ၌ သင်သည်မှန်သော စကားကိုပြောပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
၁၉ထိုမိန်းမကလည်း၊ သခင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ပရောဖက်ဖြစ်သည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်ရိပ်မိပါ၏။
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
၂၀အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ဘိုးဘေးများသည် ဤတောင်ပေါ်၌ ကိုးကွယ်လေ့ရှိကြ၏။ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌သာ ကိုးကွယ် ရမည်ဟု သင်တို့သည်ဆိုတတ်ကြ၏ဟု လျှောက်လျှင်၊
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father.
၂၁ယေရှုက၊ အချင်းမိန်းမ၊ ငါ့စကားကိုယုံလော့။ ဤတောင်သို့ မလာ၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့မသွားဘဲ ခမည်း တော်ကိုကိုးကွယ်ရမည် အချိန်ကာလရောက်ဆဲရှိ၏။
22 Ye worship that which ye know not: we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.
၂၂သင်တို့သည်ကိုယ်မသိသောအရာကို ကိုးကွယ်ကြ၏။ ငါတို့သည်ကိုယ်သိသောအရာကို ကိုးကွယ်ကြ ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ယုဒလူတို့၌ ကယ်တင်ခြင်းအကြောင်းရှိ၏။
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers.
၂၃ကိုးကွယ်သောသူမှန်သမျှတို့သည် ခမည်းတော်ကို နံဝိညာဉ်နှင့်၎င်း၊ သစ္စာတရားနှင့်၎င်း၊ ကိုးကွယ် ရမည့်အချိန်ကာလသည်လာ၍ ယခုပင်ရောက်လျက်ရှိ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုသို့ကိုးကွယ်သောသူတို့ကို ခမည်းတော်သည် အလိုရှိတော်မူ၏။
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
၂၄ဘုရားသခင်သည် နံဝိညာဉ်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ ဘုရားသခင်ကို ကိုးကွယ်သောသူတို့သည်၊ နံဝိညာဉ်နှင့် ၎င်း၊ သစ္စာနှင့်၎င်း ကိုးကွယ်ရမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh (he that is called Christ): when he is come, he will declare unto us all things.
၂၅မိန်းမကလည်း၊ မေရှိကြွလာတော်မူသည်ဟု အကျွန်ုပ်သိပါ၏။ ရောက်တော်မူသောအခါ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အား အလုံးစုံတို့ကိုဘော်ပြတော်မူမည်ဟု လျှောက်ပြန်၏။ မေရှိအနက်ကား၊ ခရစ်တော်ဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်း။
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he].
၂၆ယေရှုကလည်း၊ သင်နှင့်စကားပြောသော ငါသည် မေရှိပင်ဖြစ်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
27 And upon this came his disciples; and they marvelled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why speakest thou with her?
၂၇ထိုအခါတပည့်တော်တို့သည် ရောက်လာ၍၊ ထိုမိန်းမနှင့်စကားပြောတော်မူသည်ကို အံ့ဩခြင်းရှိကြ၏၊ သို့သော်လည်း၊ အဘယ်အလိုတော်ရှိသနည်း၊ ထိုမိန်းမနှင့်အဘယ်ကြောင့် စကားပြောတော်မူသနည်းဟု အဘယ်သူမျှမလျှောက်ကြ။
28 So the woman left her waterpot, and went away into the city, and saith to the people,
၂၈ထိုမိန်းမသည်လည်းရေအိုးကိုထားခဲ့၍ မြို့ထဲသို့ သွားပြီးလျှင်၊
29 Come, see a man, who told me all things that [ever] I did: can this be the Christ?
၂၉အကျွန်ုပ်ပြုဘူးသမျှသော အမူအရာတို့ကို ထုတ်ဘော်သောသူကိုလာ၍ကြည့်ကြပါ။ ထိုသူသည် ခရစ်တော်မှန်လိမ့်မည်လောဟု လူများတို့အား ပြောဆိုသော်၊
30 They went out of the city, and were coming to him.
၃၀သူတို့သည် မြို့ထဲမှထွက်၍ အထံတော်သို့ သွားကြ၏။
31 In the mean while the disciples prayed him, saying, Rabbi, eat.
၃၁မရောက်မှီတွင်တပည့်တော်တို့က၊ အရှင်ဘုရား၊ အစာကိုသုံးဆောင်တော်မူပါဟုတောင်းပန်ကြလျှင်၊
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not.
၃၂သင်တို့မသိသော စားစရာသည် ငါ့၌ရှိသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
33 The disciples therefore said one to another, Hath any man brought him [aught] to eat?
၃၃ထိုကြောင့်တပည့်တော်တို့က၊ တစုံတယောက်သောသူသည် စားစရာကို ပို့ပြီလောဟု အချင်းချင်း မေး မြန်းကြလျှင်၊
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work.
၃၄ယေရှုက၊ ငါ့ကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူ၏ အလိုတော်ကိုဆောင်ခြင်း၊ သူ၏အမှုတော်ကို ပြီးစီးခြင်း အမှုသည် ငါ့စားစရာဖြစ်၏။
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest.
၃၅ယခုမှစ၍ လေးလလွန်လျှင်၊ စပါးရိတ်ရာကာလဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု သင်တို့ဆိုတတ်သည်မဟုတ်လော။ ငါဆိုသည်ကား၊ စပါးရိတ်ခြင်း အလိုငှါ လယ်ပြင်တို့သည် ယခုပင်ဝင်းဝင်းရှိသည်ကို မျှော်၍ကြည့်ကြလော့။
36 He that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal; that he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. (aiōnios g166)
၃၆စပါးရိတ်သောသူသည် အခကိုခံရ၍ ထာဝရအသက်ရှင်ခြင်းအလိုငှါ အသီးအနှံကိုစုသိမ်း၏။ သို့ဖြစ် လျှင် ပျိုးကြဲသောသူနှင့် စပါးရိတ်သောသူတို့သည် အတူဝမ်းမြောက်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ (aiōnios g166)
37 For herein is the saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
၃၇တဦးကားပျိုးကြဲ၏။ တဦးကားစပါးရိတ်၏ဟူသော စကားသည် ဤအရာ၌အမှန်ကျသတည်း။
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye have not labored: others have labored, and ye are entered into their labor.
၃၈သင်တို့သည် လယ်မလုပ်သောအရပ်၌ စပါးရိတ်စေခြင်းငှါ သင်တို့ကိုငါစေလွှတ်၏။ အခြားသော သူတို့သည် လယ်လုပ်ကြ၍၊ သင်တို့သည် ထိုသူတို့၏ အလုပ်ထဲသို့ ဝင်ရကြ၏ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
39 And from that city many of the Samaritans believed on him because of the word of the woman, who testified, He told me all things that [ever] I did.
၃၉ရှမာရိမိန်းမက၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ပြုဘူးသမျှသော အမှုအရာတို့ကို သူသည်ထုတ်ဘော်ပြီဟု သက်သေခံသော စကားကြောင့်၊ ထိုမြို့၌နေသော ရှမာရိလူအများတို့သည် ယေရှုကိုယုံကြည်ကြ၏။
40 So when the Samaritans came unto him, they besought him to abide with them: and he abode there two days.
၄၀ထိုကြောင့်၊ ရှမာရိလူတို့သည် အထံတော်သို့ရောက်လျှင်၊ မိမိတို့အရပ်၌နေတော်မူမည်ကြောင်း တောင်းပန်၏။ ထိုအရပ်၌ နှစ်ရက်နေတော်မူ၏။
41 And many more believed because of his word;
၄၁အခြားသောသူအများတို့သည် နှုတ်ကပတ်စကားတော်ကြောင့် ယုံကြည်၍၊
42 and they said to the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy speaking: for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world.
၄၂ထိုမိန်းမအား၊ ယခုဖြစ်လျှင် ငါတို့သည် သင်၏စကားကြောင့်သာ ယုံကြည်သည်မဟုတ်။ စကားတော် ကို ကိုယ်တိုင်ကြားနာရ၍၊ ဤသူသည်လောကီသားတို့ကို ကယ်တင်တော်မူသော သခင်တည်းဟူသော ခရစ်တော် အမှန်စင်စစ်ဖြစ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို သိသည်ဟု ဆိုကြ၏။
43 And after the two days he went forth from thence into Galilee.
၄၃နှစ်ရက်လွန်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ထိုအရပ်မှထွက်၍ နာဇရက်မြို့ကို ရှောင်လျက်၊ ဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့ ကြွတော်မူ၏။
44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honor in his own country.
၄၄အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ပရောဖက်သည် မိမိနေရင်းပြည်၌ အသရေမရှိဟု ယေရှုသည် ကိုယ်တိုင်သက်သေ ခံတော်မူ၏။
45 So when he came into Galilee, the Galilæans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
၄၅ဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့ ရောက်တော်မူသောအခါ၊ ဂါလိလဲလူတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုလက်ခံကြ၏။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌ ခံသောပွဲသို့ သွားတတ်သဖြင့်၊ ထိုပွဲအတွင်းတွင် ပြုတော်မူသမျှတို့ကို မြင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။
46 He came therefore again unto Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
၄၆ရေကိုစပျစ်ရည်ဖြစ်စေသောအရပ်၊ ဂါလိလဲပြည်ကာနမြို့သို့ တဖန်ကြွတော်မူ၏။ ကပေရနောင်မြို့၌ အမတ်တယောက်၏သားသည် အနာရောဂါစွဲလျက်ရှိ၏။
47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judæa into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought [him] that he would come down, and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
၄၇ယေရှုသည်ယုဒပြည်မှဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့ ရောက်တော်မူသည်ကို ထိုအမတ်သည်ကြားလျှင်၊ အထံတော်သို့ သွား၍ သေခါနီးဖြစ်သော မိမိသားဆီသို့ကြွ၍ အနာရောဂါကို ငြိမ်းစေတော်မူမည်အကြောင်း တောင်းပန် လေ၏။
48 Jesus therefore said unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will in no wise believe.
၄၈ယေရှုကလည်း၊ သင်တို့သည်နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာနှင့် အံ့ဖွယ်သောအမှုတို့ကို မမြင်ရလျှင်ယုံခြင်းမရှိကြဟု မိန့်တော်မူသော်၊
49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
၄၉သခင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သားမသေမှီကြွတော်မူပါဟု အမတ်လျှောက်ပြန်၏။
50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. The man believed the word that Jesus spake unto him, and he went his way.
၅၀ယေရှုကလည်း၊ သွားလော့။ သင်၏သားသည် အသက်ချမ်းသာရပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုအမတ်သည် ယေရှုမိန့်တော်မူသောစကားကို ယုံ၍သွားလေ၏။
51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, saying, that his son lived.
၅၁လမ်း၌သွားစဉ်တွင် မိမိငယ်သားတို့သည် ခရီးဦးကြိုလာ၍၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏သားတော်သည် အသက် ချမ်းသာရပါပြီဟု ကြားလျှောက်ကြ၏။
52 So he inquired of them the hour when he began to amend. They said therefore unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
၅၂အဘယ်အချိန်၌ သက်သာခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သနည်းဟုမေးလျှင်၊ မနေ့ခုနစ်နာရီအချိန်၌ ဖျားနာပျောက် ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။
53 So the father knew that [it was] at that hour in which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
၅၃ထိုအချိန်ကား၊ သင်၏သားသည် အသက်ချမ်းသာရပြီဟု ယေရှုမိန့်တော်မူသောအချိန်ဖြစ်သည်ကို အဘသိ၍၊ ကိုယ်တိုင်မှစသော မိမိ၏အိမ်သူအိမ်သား အပေါင်းတို့သည် ယုံကြည်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြ၏။
54 This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judæa into Galilee.
၅၄ဤနိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတော်ကား၊ ယေရှုသည် ယုဒပြည်မှဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့ကြွသည်နောက်၊ ပြတော်မူသော ဒုတိယနိမိတ်လက္ခဏာဖြစ်သတည်း။
