John 19
1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
౧ఆ తరువాత పిలాతు యేసును పట్టుకుని కొరడాలతో కొట్టించాడు.
2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and arrayed him in a purple garment;
౨సైనికులు ముళ్ళతో కిరీటం అల్లి, ఆయన తలమీద పెట్టి ఊదారంగు వస్త్రం ఆయనకు తొడిగించి ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చి,
3 and they came unto him, and said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they struck him with their hands.
౩“యూదుల రాజా, జయహో,” అని చెప్పి ఆయనను అర చేతులతో కొట్టారు.
4 And Pilate went out again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him out to you, that ye may know that I find no crime in him.
౪పిలాతు మళ్ళీ బయటకు వెళ్ళి ప్రజలతో, “ఈ మనిషిలో ఏ అపరాధం నాకు కనిపించలేదని మీకు తెలిసేలా ఇతణ్ణి మీ దగ్గరికి బయటకి తీసుకుని వస్తున్నాను” అని వారితో అన్నాడు.
5 Jesus therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. And [Pilate] saith unto them, Behold, the man!
౫కాబట్టి, యేసు బయటకు వచ్చినప్పుడు ముళ్ళ కిరీటం పెట్టుకుని, ఊదారంగు వస్త్రం ధరించి ఉన్నాడు. అప్పుడు పిలాతు వారితో, “ఇదిగో ఈ మనిషి!” అన్నాడు.
6 When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify [him], crucify [him]! Pilate saith unto them, Take him yourselves, and crucify him: for I find no crime in him.
౬ముఖ్య యాజకులు, యూదుల అధికారులు యేసును చూసి, “సిలువ వెయ్యండి, సిలువ వెయ్యండి!” అని, కేకలు వేశారు. పిలాతు వారితో, “ఈయనలో నాకు ఏ అపరాధం కనిపించడం లేదు కాబట్టి మీరే తీసుకువెళ్ళి ఇతన్ని సిలువ వెయ్యండి” అన్నాడు.
7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
౭యూదులు పిలాతుతో, “మాకొక చట్టం ఉంది, అతడు తనను తాను దేవుని కుమారుడుగా ప్రకటించుకున్నాడు కాబట్టి, ఆ చట్టాన్ని బట్టి అతడు చావ వలసిందే,” అన్నారు.
8 When Pilate therefore heard this saying, he was the more afraid;
౮పిలాతు ఆ మాట విని ఇంకా ఎక్కువగా భయపడి, మళ్ళీ న్యాయ సభలో ప్రవేశించి,
9 and he entered into the Prætorium again, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
౯“నువ్వు ఎక్కడ నుంచి వచ్చావు?” అని యేసును అడిగాడు. అయితే అతనికి ఏ జవాబూ చెప్పలేదు.
10 Pilate therefore saith unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to release thee, and have power to crucify thee?
౧౦అప్పుడు పిలాతు ఆయనతో, “నువ్వు నాతో మాట్లాడవా? నిన్ను విడుదల చెయ్యడానికీ, సిలువ వెయ్యడానికీ, నాకు అధికారం ఉందని నీకు తెలియదా?” అన్నాడు.
11 Jesus answered him, Thou wouldest have no power against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath greater sin.
౧౧యేసు జవాబిస్తూ, “నీకు ఆ అధికారం పైనుంచి వస్తే తప్ప నా మీద నీకు ఏ అధికారం ఉండదు. కాబట్టి నన్ను నీకు అప్పగించిన వాడికి ఎక్కువ పాపం ఉంది” అన్నాడు.
12 Upon this Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not Cæsar’s friend: every one that maketh himself a king speaketh against Cæsar.
౧౨అప్పటి నుంచి పిలాతు యేసును విడుదల చెయ్యాలని ప్రయత్నం చేశాడు గాని యూదులు కేకలు పెడుతూ, “నువ్వు ఇతన్ని విడుదల చేస్తే, సీజరుకు మిత్రుడివి కాదు. తనను తాను రాజుగా చేసుకున్నవాడు సీజరుకు విరోధంగా మాట్లాడినట్టే” అన్నారు.
13 When Pilate therefore heard these words, he brought Jesus out, and sat down on the judgment-seat at a place called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.
౧౩పిలాతు ఈ మాటలు విని, యేసును బయటికి తీసుకొచ్చి, ‘రాళ్ళు పరచిన స్థలం’ లో న్యాయపీఠం మీద కూర్చున్నాడు. హెబ్రీ భాషలో ఆ స్థలానికి ‘గబ్బతా’ అని పేరు.
14 Now it was the Preparation of the passover: it was about the sixth hour. And he saith unto the Jews, Behold, your King!
౧౪అది పస్కా సిద్ధపాటు రోజు. ఉదయం ఇంచుమించు ఆరు గంటల సమయం. అప్పుడు పిలాతు యూదులతో, “ఇదిగో మీ రాజు!” అన్నాడు.
15 They therefore cried out, Away with [him], away with [him], crucify him! Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cæsar.
౧౫వారు కేకలు పెడుతూ, “చంపండి, చంపండి, సిలువ వేయండి!” అని అరిచారు. పిలాతు వారితో, “మీ రాజును సిలువ వేయమంటారా?” అన్నాడు. ముఖ్య యాజకులు “మాకు సీజరు తప్ప వేరే రాజు లేడు” అన్నారు.
16 Then therefore he delivered him unto them to be crucified.
౧౬అప్పుడు పిలాతు, సిలువ వేయడానికి యేసును వారికి అప్పగించాడు. వారు యేసును తీసుకువెళ్ళారు.
17 They took Jesus therefore: and he went out, bearing the cross for himself, unto the place called The place of a skull, which is called in Hebrew Golgotha:
౧౭తన సిలువ తానే మోసుకుంటూ బయటకు వచ్చి, ‘కపాల స్థలం’ అనే ప్రాంతానికి వచ్చాడు. హెబ్రీ భాషలో ఆ స్థలానికి ‘గొల్గొతా’ అని పేరు.
18 where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
౧౮అక్కడ వారు యేసును, ఇరువైపులా ఇద్దరు మనుషుల మధ్య సిలువ వేశారు.
19 And Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. And there was written, JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
౧౯పిలాతు, ఒక పలక మీద ‘నజరేతు వాడైన యేసు, యూదుల రాజు’ అని రాయించి సిలువకు తగిలించాడు.
20 This title therefore read many of the Jews, for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city; and it was written in Hebrew, [and] in Latin, [and] in Greek.
౨౦యేసును సిలువ వేసిన స్థలం పట్టణానికి దగ్గరగా ఉంది. పలక మీద రాసిన ప్రకటన హీబ్రూ, లాటిన్, గ్రీకు భాషల్లో రాసి ఉంది కాబట్టి చాలా మంది యూదులు దాన్ని చదివారు.
21 The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but, that he said, I am King of the Jews.
౨౧యూదుల ముఖ్య యాజకులు పిలాతుతో, “‘యూదుల రాజు’ అని కాకుండా, అతడు ‘నేను యూదుల రాజును అని చెప్పుకున్నాడు’ అని రాయించండి” అన్నాడు.
22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
౨౨పిలాతు, “నేను రాసిందేదో రాశాను” అని జవాబిచ్చాడు.
23 The soldiers therefore, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
౨౩సైనికులు యేసును సిలువ వేసిన తరువాత ఆయన వస్త్రాలు తీసుకుని నాలుగు భాగాలు చేసి తలొక భాగం పంచుకున్నారు. ఆయన పైవస్త్రం కూడా తీసుకున్నారు. ఆ పైవస్త్రం కుట్టు లేకుండా, అంతా ఒకే నేతగా ఉంది కాబట్టి,
24 They said therefore one to another, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my garments among them, And upon my vesture did they cast lots.
౨౪వారు ఒకరితో ఒకరు, “దీన్ని మనం చింపకుండా, ఇది ఎవరిది అవుతుందో చూడడానికి చీట్లు వేద్దాం” అన్నారు. “నా వస్త్రాలు తమలో తాము పంచుకున్నారు, నా దుస్తుల కోసం చీట్లు వేశారు,” అన్న లేఖనం నెరవేరేలా ఇది జరిగింది. అందుకే సైనికులు అలా చేశారు.
25 These things therefore the soldiers did. But there were standing by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the [wife] of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
౨౫యేసు తల్లి, ఆయన తల్లి సోదరి, క్లోపా భార్య మరియ, మగ్దలేనే మరియ, యేసు సిలువ దగ్గర నిలుచుని ఉన్నారు.
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold, thy son!
౨౬ఆయన తల్లి, ఆయన ప్రేమించిన శిష్యుడు దగ్గరలో నిలుచుని ఉండడం చూసి, యేసు తన తల్లితో, “అమ్మా, ఇదిగో నీ కొడుకు” అన్నాడు.
27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold, thy mother! And from that hour the disciple took her unto his own [home].
౨౭తరువాత ఆ శిష్యునితో, “ఇదిగో నీ తల్లి” అన్నాడు. ఆ సమయంనుంచి ఆ శిష్యుడు ఆమెను తన ఇంట్లో చేర్చుకున్నాడు.
28 After this Jesus, knowing that all things are now finished, that the scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst.
౨౮దాని తరువాత, అన్నీ సమాప్తం అయ్యాయని యేసుకు తెలుసు కాబట్టి, లేఖనం నెరవేర్చడానికి, “నాకు దాహంగా ఉంది,” అన్నాడు.
29 There was set there a vessel full of vinegar: so they put a sponge full of the vinegar upon hyssop, and brought it to his mouth.
౨౯అక్కడే ఉన్న పులిసిన ద్రాక్షారసం కుండలో స్పాంజిని ముంచి, దాన్ని హిస్సోపు కొమ్మకు చుట్టి ఆయన నోటికి అందించారు.
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.
౩౦యేసు, ఆ పులిసిన ద్రాక్షారసం పుచ్చుకుని, “సమాప్తం అయ్యింది” అని, తల వంచి తన ఆత్మను అప్పగించాడు.
31 The Jews therefore, because it was the Preparation, that the bodies should not remain on the cross upon the sabbath (for the day of that sabbath was a high [day]), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and [that] they might be taken away.
౩౧అది పండగ సిద్ధపాటు రోజు. సబ్బాతు రోజున దేహాలు సిలువ మీదే ఉండిపోకూడదు (ఎందుకంటే సబ్బాతు చాలా ప్రాముఖ్యమైన రోజు) కాబట్టి, వారి దేహాలు అక్కడ వేలాడకుండా, వారి కాళ్ళు విరగగొట్టి, వారిని కిందకి దింపమని యూదులు పిలాతును అడిగారు.
32 The soldiers therefore came, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with him:
౩౨కాబట్టి సైనికులు వచ్చి, యేసుతో కూడా సిలువ వేసిన మొదటి వాడి కాళ్ళు, రెండవవాడి కాళ్ళు విరగగొట్టారు.
33 but when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
౩౩వారు యేసు దగ్గరికి వచ్చినప్పుడు, ఆయన అప్పటికే చనిపోయాడని గమనించి, ఆయన కాళ్ళు విరగగొట్టలేదు.
34 howbeit one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and straightway there came out blood and water.
౩౪అయితే, సైనికుల్లో ఒకడు ఈటెతో ఆయన డొక్కలో పొడిచాడు. వెంటనే రక్తం, నీళ్ళు బయటకు వచ్చాయి.
35 And he that hath seen hath borne witness, and his witness is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye also may believe.
౩౫ఇదంతా చూసినవాడు సాక్ష్యం ఇస్తున్నాడు. అతని సాక్ష్యం సత్యం. అతడు చెప్పింది సత్యం అని అతనికి తెలుసు. ఇది మీరు కూడా నమ్మడానికే.
36 For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
౩౬“అతని ఎముకల్లో ఒక్కటైనా విరగదు” అన్న లేఖనం నెరవేరేలా ఇవి జరిగాయి.
37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
౩౭“వారు తాము పొడిచిన వాని వైపు చూస్తారు,” అని మరొక లేఖనం చెబుతూ ఉంది.
38 And after these things Joseph of Arimathæa, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave [him] leave. He came therefore, and took away his body.
౩౮ఆ తరువాత, యూదులకు భయపడి రహస్యంగా యేసుకు శిష్యుడిగా ఉన్న అరిమతయి యోసేపు, యేసు దేహాన్ని తాను తీసుకుని వెళ్తానని పిలాతును అడిగాడు. పిలాతు అందుకు ఒప్పుకున్నాడు. కాబట్టి యోసేపు వచ్చి యేసు దేహాన్ని తీసుకుని వెళ్ళాడు.
39 And there came also Nicodemus, he who at the first came to him by night, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.
౩౯మొదట్లో రాత్రి సమయంలో ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చిన నికోదేము కూడా ఇంచుమించు ముప్ఫై ఐదు కిలోల బోళం, అగరుల మిశ్రమాన్ని తనతో తీసుకు వచ్చాడు.
40 So they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.
౪౦వారు యేసు దేహాన్ని తీసుకు వచ్చి సుగంధ ద్రవ్యాలతో, నార బట్టలో చుట్టారు. ఇది యూదులు దేహాలను సమాధి చేసే సాంప్రదాయం.
41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new tomb wherein was never man yet laid.
౪౧ఆయనను సిలువ వేసిన ప్రాంగణంలో ఉన్న తోటలో, అంత వరకూ ఎవరినీ పాతిపెట్టని ఒక కొత్త సమాధి ఉంది.
42 There then because of the Jews’ Preparation (for the tomb was nigh at hand) they laid Jesus.
౪౨ఆ సమాధి దగ్గరగా ఉంది కాబట్టి, ఆ రోజు యూదులు సిద్ధపడే రోజు కాబట్టి, వారు యేసును అందులో పెట్టారు.
