Deuteronomy 32
1 Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
Ihr Himmel horchet auf, und ich werde reden; und meines Mundes Sprüche höre die Erde!
2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain; My speech shall distil as the dew, As the small rain upon the tender grass, And as the showers upon the herb.
Wie Regen träufle meine Lehre und mein Spruch riesle wie der Tau. Wie Regenschauer auf junges Grün, wie Regengüsse auf das Kraut.
3 For I will proclaim the name of Jehovah: Ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Denn ich rufe an Jehovahs Namen. Gebt Größe unserem Gotte.
4 The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are justice: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he.
Der Fels! Vollkommen ist Sein Werk! Denn Recht sind alle Seine Wege. Ein Gott der Treue, ohne Verkehrtheit! Gerecht und gerade ist Er.
5 They have dealt corruptly with him, [they are] not his children, [it is] their blemish; [They are] a perverse and crooked generation.
Es hat sich Ihm verdorben; nicht Seine Söhne, ihr eigener Makel sind sie; ein Geschlecht, krumm und verdreht.
6 Do ye thus requite Jehovah, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? He hath made thee, and established thee.
Vergeltet ihr also dem Jehovah, ihr töricht und unweises Volk? Ist Er dein Vater nicht, Der dich erworben, - Er, Der dich gemacht und bereitet hat?
7 Remember the days of old, Consider the years of many generations: Ask thy father, and he will show thee; Thine elders, and they will tell thee.
Gedenk der Ewigkeit Tage, merke auf die Jahre von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht. Frage deinen Vater, der sagt es dir an, deine Ältesten, und sie werden es dir sagen.
8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.
Da der Höchste den Völkerschaften ihr Erbe austeilte, da Er trennte die Söhne der Menschen, bestellte Er der Völker Grenzen, nach der Zahl der Söhne Israels.
9 For Jehovah’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
Denn Jehovahs Teil ist Sein Volk, Jakob der Anteil Seines Erbes.
10 He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He compassed him about, he cared for him, He kept him as the apple of his eye.
Er fand ihn im Land der Wüste, und in der Leere, dem Geheul, im Wüstenland; Er führte ihn umher, verständigte ihn und bewahrte ihn wie Seinen Augapfel.
11 As an eagle that stirreth up her nest, That fluttereth over her young, He spread abroad his wings, he took them, He bare them on his pinions.
Wie der Adler aufregt sein Nest, über seinen Jungen schwebt, seine Flügel ausbreitet, ihn nimmt und auf seinen Fittichen trägt:
12 Jehovah alone did lead him, And there was no foreign god with him.
Jehovah führte ihn allein, und kein ausländischer Gott war mit Ihm.
13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he did eat the increase of the field; And he made him to suck honey out of the rock, And oil out of the flinty rock;
Er ließ ihn fahren über der Erde Opferhöhen und essen des Feldes Ertrag; und ließ ihn saugen Honig aus der Felsklippe und Öl aus dem Kiesel des Felsen.
14 Butter of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, With the finest of the wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou drankest wine.
Butter von dem Rinde und des Kleinviehs Milch, mit dem Fett der Lämmer und Widder, der Söhne Baschans und der Böcke, mit dem Nierenfett des Weizens und der Weinbeere Blut, den Wein, trankest du.
15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: Thou art waxed fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek; Then he forsook God who made him, And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
Und Jeschurum ward fett und schlug aus - du wurdest fett, dick und feist - er gab auf Gott, Der ihn machte und verunehrte den Felsen seines Heils.
16 They moved him to jealousy with strange [gods]; With abominations provoked they him to anger.
Sie erregten Ihn zum Eifern durch Fremde, sie reizten Ihn durch Greuel.
17 They sacrificed unto demons, [which were] no God, To gods that they knew not, To new [gods] that came up of late, Which your fathers dreaded not.
Sie opferten den Unholden, die Gott nicht sind, Göttern, die sie nicht gekannt, neuen, die aus der Nähe kamen, die eure Väter nicht scheuten.
18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.
Dem Felsen, Der dich gezeugt, läßt du außer Acht, hast Gott, Der dich gestaltet, vergessen.
19 And Jehovah saw [it], and abhorred [them], Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
Und das sah Jehovah und verwarf gereizt Seine Söhne und Seine Töchter;
20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very perverse generation, Children in whom is no faithfulness.
Und Er sprach: Mein Angesicht will Ich vor ihnen verbergen, will sehen, was ihr Letzteres sein wird; denn ein verkehrt Geschlecht sind sie, Söhne, keine Treue ist in ihnen.
21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; They have provoked me to anger with their vanities: And I will move them to jealousy with those that are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
Sie erregten Mich zum Eifern durch Nicht-Götter, sie reizten Mich durch ihre Nichtigkeiten, Ich aber will sie erregen zum Eifern, an einem Nicht-Volk, durch eine törichte Völkerschaft will Ich sie reizen.
22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And burneth unto the lowest Sheol, And devoureth the earth with its increase, And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
Denn ein Feuer ist angefacht in Meinem Zorn und es lodert bis zur untersten Hölle, und es frißt auf die Erde und ihr Gewächs und entflammt die Grundfesten der Berge. (Sheol h7585)
23 I will heap evils upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them:
Böses will Ich sammeln über sie, will Meine Pfeile auf sie verschießen.
24 [They shall be] wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destruction; And the teeth of beasts will I send upon them, With the poison of crawling things of the dust.
Erschöpft vom Hunger und abgezehrt von Fieberglut und bitterer Seuche, entsende Ich der Untiere Zahn über sie mit dem brennenden Gift der im Staube Kriechenden.
25 Without shall the sword bereave, And in the chambers terror; [It shall destroy] both young man and virgin, The suckling with the man of gray hairs.
Draußen beraubt das Schwert, und der Schrecken aus den Kammern, Jüngling wie Jungfrau, den Säugling mit dem greisen Manne.
26 I said, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men;
Ich spräche: Zerstieben will Ich sie, will zu Ende bringen ihr Andenken bei den Menschen.
27 Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should judge amiss, Lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, And Jehovah hath not done all this.
Bangte mir nicht vor des Feindes Unmut, daß nicht ihre Dränger es besäen, daß sie nicht sprächen: Unsere erhabene Hand und nicht Jehovah hat all dies getan!
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, And there is no understanding in them.
Denn eine Völkerschaft sind sie, bei denen der Rat verloren ist, und ist in ihnen keine Einsicht.
29 Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!
O daß sie weise wären und es vernähmen, daß sie ihr Letzteres einsehen möchten.
30 How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And Jehovah had delivered them up?
Wie sollte einer sonst Tausenden nach- setzen, und zwei Zehntausend in die Flucht schlagen, wenn nicht ihr Fels sie verkauft, Jehovah sie nicht überantwortet hätte?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.
Denn nicht wie unser Fels ist ihr Fels und unsere Feinde seien Schiedsrichter.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clusters are bitter:
Denn von Sodoms Weinstock ist ihr Weinstock und von Gomorrahs Gefilden; Weinbeeren von Galle sind ihre Weinbeeren, und sie haben bittere Trauben.
33 Their wine is the poison of serpents, And the cruel venom of asps.
Ihr Wein ist Gift der Drachen und grausame Galle der Ottern.
34 Is not this laid up in store with me, Sealed up among my treasures?
Ist das nicht verschlossen bei Mir, versiegelt in Meinen Schätzen?
35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense, At the time when their foot shall slide: For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
Mein ist Rache und Vergeltung zur Zeit, da ihr Fuß wankt; denn nahe ist der Tag ihrer Not, und ihr Verhängnis kommt schleunig.
36 For Jehovah will judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that [their] power is gone, And there is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.
Denn Jehovah wird rechten für Sein Volk; und über Seine Knechte wird es Ihn gereuen, wenn Er sieht, daß die Hand vergangen und mit dem Eingeschlossenen und Verlassenen zu Ende ist,
37 And he will say, Where are their gods, The rock in which they took refuge;
Und man sagt: Wo sind nun ihre Götter, der Fels, auf den sie sich verließen?
38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [And] drank the wine of their drink-offering? Let them rise up and help you, Let them be your protection.
Die das Fett ihrer Opfer aßen, den Wein ihrer Trankopfer tranken? Sie mögen sich jetzt aufmachen und euch beistehen, ein Schirm sein über euch!
39 See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
Sehet nun, daß Ich, Ich es bin, und kein Gott bei Mir. Ich töte und Ich mache lebendig; Ich habe zerschmettert und Ich werde heilen, und keiner ist, der aus Meiner Hand errettet.
40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,
Wenn Ich Meine Hand zum Himmel erhebe und spreche: Ich lebe in Ewigkeit.
41 If I whet my glittering sword, And my hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me.
Habe Ich den Blitz Meines Schwertes geschärft, und Meine Hand greift zum Gericht, und werde Rache wiederbringen Meinen Drängern und vergelten denen, so Mich hassen;
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, And my sword shall devour flesh; With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the head of the leaders of the enemy.
Werde Meine Pfeile vom Blut berauschen und Mein Schwert soll Fleisch fressen, vom Blute der Erschlagenen und Gefangenen, von der Galle der Rache an dem Feind.
43 Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.
Jauchzet ihr Völkerschaften, Sein Volk; denn das Blut Seiner Knechte wird Er rächen, und Rache zurückgeben Seinen Drängern und sühnen Seinen Boden, Sein Volk.
44 And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
Und Mose kam und redete alle Worte dieses Gesangs vor den Ohren des Volkes, er und Joschua, der Sohn Nuns.
45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel;
Und Mose vollendete das Reden aller dieser Worte an ganz Israel.
46 and he said unto them, Set your heart unto all the words which I testify unto you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, [even] all the words of this law.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Nehmet euch zu Herzen alle die Worte, die ich euch heute bezeuge, auf daß ihr euren Söhnen gebietet, zu halten, zu tun alle Worte dieses Gesetzes.
47 For it is no vain thing for you; because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over the Jordan to possess it.
Denn es ist kein leeres Wort für euch, denn es ist euer Leben, und durch dieses Wort verlängert ihr die Tage auf dem Boden, da ihr über den Jordan übersetzet, ihn einzunehmen.
48 And Jehovah spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
Und Jehovah redete an diesem selbigen Tage zu Mose und sprach:
49 Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession;
Steig hinauf auf diesen Berg Abarim, den Berg Nebo, der im Lande Moab ist, der vor Jericho ist, und siehe das Land Kanaan, das Ich den Söhnen Israels zum Eigentum gebe.
50 and die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
Und stirb auf dem Berge, da du hinaufsteigst, und werde zu deinen Völkern versammelt, wie Aharon, dein Bruder, auf dem Berge Hor gestorben und zu seinen Völkern versammelt worden ist;
51 because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
Darum, daß ihr Mir untreu wurdet inmitten der Söhne Israels am Haderwasser Kadesch, in der Wüste Zin, daß ihr Mich nicht habt geheiligt inmitten der Söhne Israels.
52 For thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither into the land which I give the children of Israel.
Denn du sollst das Land vor dir gegenüber sehen, aber nicht dahin in das Land hineinkommen, das Ich den Söhnen Israels gebe.
