Colossians 2
1 For I would have you know how greatly I strive for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
Denn ich will euch zu wissen tun, mit welcher Sorge ich kämpfe um euch und die zu Laodicea und alle, die mein Angesicht im Fleische nicht gesehen haben.
2 that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, [even] Christ,
Auf daß ihre Herzen gestärkt und in Liebe verbunden werden zu allem Reichtum des vollen Verständnisses, zu erkennen das Geheimnis Gottes sowohl des Vaters, als das von Christus,
3 in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.
Worin alle Schätze der Weisheit und der Erkenntnis verborgen liegen.
4 This I say, that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.
Ich sage dies aber, auf daß euch niemand durch Verführungskünste betöre.
5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
Denn ob ich gleich im Fleische abwesend bin, so bin ich doch im Geiste mit euch, und sehe mit Freuden eure Ordnung und Festigkeit in eurem Glauben an Christus.
6 As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk in him,
So wie ihr nun den Herrn Jesus Christus angenommen habt, so wandelt in Ihm.
7 rooted and builded up in him, and established in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Seid eingewurzelt und auferbaut in Ihm und befestigt euch im Glauben, wie ihr gelehrt worden seid, zunehmend in demselben mit Danksagung;
8 Take heed lest there shall be any one that maketh spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ:
So seht zu, daß euch niemand hinreiße durch Weltweisheit und eitlen Trug nach Menschensatzungen über die Anfänge der Welt und nicht nach Christus.
9 for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily,
Denn in Ihm wohnt die ganze Fülle der Gottheit leibhaftig.
10 and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power:
Und ihr seid vollkommen in Ihm, Welcher ist das Haupt aller Macht und Gewalt.
11 in whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;
In Dem ihr auch beschnitten seid, nicht durch Beschneidung mit Menschenhänden, sondern durch Ablegung des fleischlichen Leibes, durch die Beschneidung von Christus;
12 having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
In Dem ihr mitbegraben seid in der Taufe, in der ihr auch mit auferstanden seid durch den Glauben an die Kraft Gottes, Der Ihn von den Toten auferweckt hat;
13 And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, [I say], did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;
Und hat euch, die ihr tot ward, in den Übertretungen und in der Vorhaut eures Fleisches, mit Ihm lebendig gemacht, indem Er uns alle Übertretungen vergab,
14 having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;
Und alle Handschrift des Gesetzes, die gegen uns zeugte, auslöschte, und hat sie weggeräumt, und an das Kreuz geheftet.
15 having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Und die Mächte und Gewalten entwaffnet, öffentlich zur Schau geführt und an Ihm Selbst über sie einen Triumph gehalten.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a feast day or a new moon or a sabbath day:
So lasset euch nun von niemand richten wegen Essens oder Trinkens, oder über Fasten, Neumonden oder Sabbathen,
17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s.
Welches alles der Schattenriß des Zukünftigen ist. Der Leib selbst aber ist in Christus.
18 Let no man rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he hath seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Lasset euch von keinem das Ziel verrükken, indem er in Demut und Verehrung der Engel sich auf Dinge einläßt, die er nicht gesehen hat, und sich ohne Ursache in seinem fleischlichen Sinne aufbläht;
19 and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increaseth with the increase of God.
Und sich nicht hält an das Haupt, aus dem der ganze Leib, durch Gelenke und Bande verbunden und zusammengehalten, Wachstum aus Gott erhält.
20 If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances,
So ihr nun mit Christus den Anfangsgründen der Welt abgestorben seid, warum lasset ihr euch, als lebtet ihr noch in der Welt, Satzungen aufdringen?
21 Handle not, nor taste, nor touch
Rühre nicht an, koste nicht, betaste nicht!
22 (all which things are to perish with the using), after the precepts and doctrines of men?
Lauter Dinge, deren Gebrauch Verderben bringen soll, nach den Satzungen und Lehren der Menschen.
23 Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and severity to the body; [but are] not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
Was freilich einen Schein der Weisheit hat, in selbstgewähltem Gottesdienst, in Demut und Kasteiung des Körpers, das doch keinerlei Wert hat zu Befriedigung des Fleisches.
