2 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints that are in the whole of Achaia:
Sithaw koehhaih baktih toengah Jesu Kri mah patoeh ih kami kai, Pawl hoi aicae ih amnawk Timote mah, Korin vangpui ah kaom Sithaw ih kricaabu hoi Akaia prae thung boih ah kaom kaciim kaminawk boih khaeah ca kang pat hoi:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
aicae Ampa Sithaw, Angraeng Jesu Kri khae ih tahmenhaih hoi monghaih to nangcae khaeah om nasoe.
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;
Palungnathaih Ampa, kaminawk boih monghaih Sithaw, aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri Ampa hoi Sithaw loe pakoehhaih om nasoe.
4 who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Sithaw mah aicae han monghaih paek baktih toengah, aicae mah doeh raihaih tong kaminawk to mongsak thai hanah, Anih mah aicae raihaih boih thung hoiah aicae han monghaih to paek boeh.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ.
Kri pongah patang a khang o parai baktih toengah, Kri rang hoiah kating ai monghaih to a hnuk o toeng.
6 But whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or whether we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which worketh in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer:
Monghaih hoi pahlonghaih a hnuk o han ih ni vaihi raihaih a tong o. Raihaih ka tong o baktih toengah, nangcae doeh palungsawkhaih hoiah raihaih to na pauep o pongah, ka hnuk o ih monghaih baktih toengah, nangcae mah doeh monghaih hoi pahlonghaih to na hnu o toeng tih.
7 and our hope for you is stedfast; knowing that, as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so also are ye of the comfort.
Patangkhanghaih tong kami ah na oh o baktih toengah, monghaih hnu kami ah na om o toeng tih, tito ka panoek o naah, nangcae nuiah ka tawnh o ih oephaih to thazok ai.
8 For we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which befell [us] in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
Nawkamyanawk, Asia prae ah ka tongh o ih raihaih to panoek ai ah ohsak han ka koeh ai; ka tong o ih raihaih loe pauep thai ai, duek han khoek to oh:
9 yea, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raiseth the dead:
kaicae loe duek han khue ni ka oh o sut boeh, toe kaicae loe kaimacae hoi kaimacae to angoep ai ah, duekhaih thung hoi pathawkkung, Sithaw to ni ka tang o.
10 who delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver: on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;
Kanung parai duekhaih thung hoiah Sithaw mah kaicae to pahlong boeh, vaihi doeh Anih mah pahlong let bae vop tih, tiah oephaih ka tawnh o;
11 ye also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift bestowed upon us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf.
kaicae han lawk nang thuih pae o nahaeloe, to tiah paroeai kaminawk mah abomhaih rang hoiah ka hnuk o ih tangqum pongah, kaminawk mah kaicae han kawnhaih lawk na thui pae o thai tih.
12 For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
Aicae amoekhaih loe hae ni: nangcae khae ka oh o naah cae loe, poek pahnaemhaih hoi Sithaw toenghaih hoiah ni kho ka sak o aep; hae long palunghahaih hoi na ai ah, a tahmenhaih rang hoiah ni Sithaw mah ang zaehhoih, tiah kasae kahoih panoekhaih palung hoiah ka thuih o.
13 For we write no other things unto you, than what ye read or even acknowledge, and I hope ye will acknowledge unto the end:
Na kroek o moe, na panoek o ih lok ai ah loe, kalah lok nangcae khaeah ka tarik o ai; vaihi loe na panoek o thai boih tih boeh, tiah oephaih ka tawnh;
14 as also ye did acknowledge us in part, that we are your glorying, even as ye also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
nangcae mah nazetto maw loe kaicae kawng nang panoek o baktih toengah, Angraeng Jesu ih ani ah, kaicae mah nangcae kam oek o haih baktih toengah, nangcae mah doeh kaicae nam oek o haih toeng tih.
15 And in this confidence I was minded to come first unto you, that ye might have a second benefit;
Hae tiah tanghaih ka tawnh pongah, vaihnetto amekhaih na hnuk o thai hanah, nangcae khae kang zoh hmaloe han, tiah poekhaih ka tawnh;
16 and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come unto you, and of you to be set forward on my journey unto Judæa.
Macedonia prae ah ka caeh naah nangcae khaeah kang paqai moe, Macedonia prae hoiah nangcae khaeah kang zoh let han. To pacoengah nangcae mah Judah prae ah kacaeh hanah na thak oh.
17 When I therefore was thus minded, did I show fickleness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the yea yea and the nay nay?
Hae tiah kholong caeh kam sak naah zoidaekta ah maw kam sak? To tih ai boeh loe long taksa baktih toengah, ue, ue, tiah thuih moe, to tih na ai ni, to tih na ai ni, tiah thuih han ih maw kam sak moeng?
18 But as God is faithful, our word toward you is not yea and nay.
Toe Sithaw loe oepthoh baktih toengah, nangcae khaeah kang thuih o ih lok loe Ue, tiah thuih ih lok ni oh, To tih na ai ni, tiah thuih ih lok to om ai.
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, [even] by me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in him is yea.
Kai, Silvana hoi Timote mah, kang thuih o ih Sithaw capa, Jesuh Kri ah loe Ue, tiah thuih ih lok hoi To tih na ai ni, tiah thuih ih lok to om ai, toe Anih ah loe Ue, tiah thuih ih lok ni oh.
20 For how many soever be the promises of God, in him is the yea: wherefore also through him is the Amen, unto the glory of God through us.
Sithaw lokkamhaih boih loe, aicae rang hoiah Sithaw lensawk thai hanah, Anih ah loe Ue, tiah thuih ih lok to oh moe, anih rang hoiah ni Amen, tiah thuihaih lok to doeh oh.
21 Now he that establisheth us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;
Anih mah Kri ah vaihi nangcae to kaicae hoi nawnto caksak boeh, kaicae situi bawhkung loe Sithaw ni;
22 who also sealed us, and gave [us] the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Anih mah aicae angmathaih tacik to daengh moe, aicae palung thungah kacak Muithla to paek.
23 But I call God for a witness upon my soul, that to spare you I forbare to come unto Corinth.
Toe nangcae tahmen pongah ni Korin vangpui ah kang zo ai boeh, tiah ka poekhaih panoekkung Sithaw loe kai hnukung ah oh.
24 Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for in faith ye stand fast.
Nangcae tanghaih nuiah ukhaih akaa ka tawn o ai, toe tanghaih ah nang doet o pongah, anghoehaih na tawnh o thai hanah nangcae hoi nawnto toksah kami ah ni ka oh o.
