1 Timothy 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus our hope;

அஸ்மாகம்’ த்ராணகர்த்துரீஸ்²வரஸ்யாஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரத்யாஸா²பூ⁴மே​: ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய சாஜ்ஞாநுஸாரதோ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ப்ரேரித​: பௌல​: ஸ்வகீயம்’ ஸத்யம்’ த⁴ர்ம்மபுத்ரம்’ தீமதி²யம்’ ப்ரதி பத்ரம்’ லிக²தி|

2 unto Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

அஸ்மாகம்’ தாத ஈஸ்²வரோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்²ச த்வயி அநுக்³ரஹம்’ த³யாம்’ ஸா²ந்திஞ்ச குர்ய்யாஸ்தாம்’|

3 As I exhorted thee to tarry at Ephesus, when I was going into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge certain men not to teach a different doctrine,

மாகித³நியாதே³ஸே² மம க³மநகாலே த்வம் இபி²ஷநக³ரே திஷ்ட²ந் இதரஸி²க்ஷா ந க்³ரஹீதவ்யா, அநந்தேஷூபாக்²யாநேஷு வம்’ஸா²வலிஷு ச யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்மநோ ந நிவேஸி²தவ்யம்

4 neither to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questionings, rather than a dispensation of God which is in faith; [so do I now].

இதி காம்’ஸ்²சித் லோகாந் யத்³ உபதி³ஸே²ரேதத் மயாதி³ஷ்டோ(அ)ப⁴வ​: , யத​: ஸர்வ்வைரேதை ர்விஸ்²வாஸயுக்தேஸ்²வரீயநிஷ்டா² ந ஜாயதே கிந்து விவாதோ³ ஜாயதே|

5 But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned:

உபதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய த்வபி⁴ப்ரேதம்’ ப²லம்’ நிர்ம்மலாந்த​: கரணேந ஸத்ஸம்’வேதே³ந நிஷ்கபடவிஸ்²வாஸேந ச யுக்தம்’ ப்ரேம|

6 from which things some having swerved have turned aside unto vain talking;

கேசித் ஜநாஸ்²ச ஸர்வ்வாண்யேதாநி விஹாய நிரர்த²ககதா²நாம் அநுக³மநேந விபத²கா³மிநோ(அ)ப⁴வந்,

7 desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor whereof they confidently affirm.

யத்³ பா⁴ஷந்தே யச்ச நிஸ்²சிந்வந்தி தந்ந பு³த்⁴யமாநா வ்யவஸ்தோ²பதே³ஷ்டாரோ ப⁴விதும் இச்ச²ந்தி|

8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully,

ஸா வ்யவஸ்தா² யதி³ யோக்³யரூபேண க்³ரு’ஹ்யதே தர்ஹ்யுத்தமா ப⁴வதீதி வயம்’ ஜாநீம​: |

9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

அபரம்’ ஸா வ்யவஸ்தா² தா⁴ர்ம்மிகஸ்ய விருத்³தா⁴ ந ப⁴வதி கிந்த்வதா⁴ர்ம்மிகோ (அ)வாத்⁴யோ து³ஷ்ட​: பாபிஷ்டோ² (அ)பவித்ரோ (அ)ஸு²சி​: பித்ரு’ஹந்தா மாத்ரு’ஹந்தா நரஹந்தா

10 for fornicators, for abusers of themselves with men, for menstealers, for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;

வேஸ்²யாகா³மீ பும்’மைது²நீ மநுஷ்யவிக்ரேதா மித்²யாவாதீ³ மித்²யாஸ²பத²காரீ ச ஸர்வ்வேஷாமேதேஷாம்’ விருத்³தா⁴,

11 according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

ததா² ஸச்சிதா³நந்தே³ஸ்²வரஸ்ய யோ விப⁴வயுக்த​: ஸுஸம்’வாதோ³ மயி ஸமர்பிதஸ்தத³நுயாயிஹிதோபதே³ஸ²ஸ்ய விபரீதம்’ யத் கிஞ்சித்³ ப⁴வதி தத்³விருத்³தா⁴ ஸா வ்யவஸ்தே²தி தத்³க்³ராஹிணா ஜ்ஞாதவ்யம்’|

12 I thank him that enabled me, [even] Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he counted me faithful, appointing me to [his] service;

மஹ்யம்’ ஸ²க்திதா³தா யோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴​: க்²ரீஷ்டயீஸு²ஸ்தமஹம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி|

13 though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;

யத​: புரா நிந்த³க உபத்³ராவீ ஹிம்’ஸகஸ்²ச பூ⁴த்வாப்யஹம்’ தேந விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ (அ)மந்யே பரிசாரகத்வே ந்யயுஜ்யே ச| தத்³ அவிஸ்²வாஸாசரணம் அஜ்ஞாநேந மயா க்ரு’தமிதி ஹேதோரஹம்’ தேநாநுகம்பிதோ(அ)ப⁴வம்’|

14 and the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

அபரம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டே யீஸௌ² விஸ்²வாஸப்ரேமப்⁴யாம்’ ஸஹிதோ(அ)ஸ்மத்ப்ரபோ⁴ரநுக்³ரஹோ (அ)தீவ ப்ரசுரோ(அ)ப⁴த்|

15 Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:

பாபிந​: பரித்ராதும்’ க்²ரீஷ்டோ யீஸு² ர்ஜக³தி ஸமவதீர்ணோ(அ)ப⁴வத், ஏஷா கதா² விஸ்²வாஸநீயா ஸர்வ்வை க்³ரஹணீயா ச|

16 howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ show forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them that should thereafter believe on him unto eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

தேஷாம்’ பாபிநாம்’ மத்⁴யே(அ)ஹம்’ ப்ரத²ம ஆஸம்’ கிந்து யே மாநவா அநந்தஜீவநப்ராப்த்யர்த²ம்’ தஸ்மிந் விஸ்²வஸிஷ்யந்தி தேஷாம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டாந்தே மயி ப்ரத²மே யீஸு²நா க்²ரீஷ்டேந ஸ்வகீயா க்ரு’த்ஸ்நா சிரஸஹிஷ்ணுதா யத் ப்ரகாஸ்²யதே தத³ர்த²மேவாஹம் அநுகம்பாம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந்| (aiōnios g166)

17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, [be] honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

அநாதி³ரக்ஷயோ(அ)த்³ரு’ஸ்²யோ ராஜா யோ(அ)த்³விதீய​: ஸர்வ்வஜ்ஞ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்தஸ்ய கௌ³ரவம்’ மஹிமா சாநந்தகாலம்’ யாவத்³ பூ⁴யாத்| ஆமேந்| (aiōn g165)

18 This charge I commit unto thee, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which led the way to thee, that by them thou mayest war the good warfare;

ஹே புத்ர தீமதி²ய த்வயி யாநி ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாக்யாநி புரா கதி²தாநி தத³நுஸாராத்³ அஹம் ஏநமாதே³ஸ²ம்’ த்வயி ஸமர்பயாமி, தஸ்யாபி⁴ப்ராயோ(அ)யம்’ யத்த்வம்’ தை ர்வாக்யைருத்தமயுத்³த⁴ம்’ கரோஷி

19 holding faith and a good conscience; which some having thrust from them made shipwreck concerning the faith:

விஸ்²வாஸம்’ ஸத்ஸம்’வேத³ஞ்ச தா⁴ரயஸி ச| அநயோ​: பரித்யாகா³த் கேஷாஞ்சித்³ விஸ்²வாஸதரீ ப⁴க்³நாப⁴வத்|

20 of whom is Hymenæus and Alexander; whom I delivered unto Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.

ஹுமிநாயஸிகந்த³ரௌ தேஷாம்’ யௌ த்³வௌ ஜநௌ, தௌ யத்³ த⁴ர்ம்மநிந்தா³ம்’ புந ர்ந கர்த்தும்’ ஸி²க்ஷேதே தத³ர்த²ம்’ மயா ஸ²யதாநஸ்ய கரே ஸமர்பிதௌ|
