Zechariah 10

1 Ask of the LORD rain in the spring time, the LORD who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.

Demandez au Seigneur la pluie dans l’arrière-saison, et le Seigneur fera tomber la neige; il leur donnera une pluie abondante, à chacun l’herbe dans son champ.

2 For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie; and they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd.

Parce que les idoles ont dit des choses vaines, et que les devins ont vu le mensonge, et que les interprètes des songes ont parlé inutilement; ils donnaient de vaines consolations; c’est pour cela qu’ils ont été emmenés comme un troupeau; ils seront affligés, parce qu’ils n’ont pas de pasteur.

3 My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats, for the LORD of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle.

Contre les pasteurs, ma fureur s’est irritée, et je visiterai les boucs; parce que le Seigneur des armées a visité son troupeau, la maison de Juda, et il en a fait comme son cheval de gloire à la guerre.

4 From him will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together.

De lui sortira l’angle, de lui le pieu, de lui l’arc du combat, de lui tout exacteur en même temps.

5 They will be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle. They will fight, because the LORD is with them. The riders on horses will be confounded.

Et ils seront comme les forts qui dans le combat foulent l’ennemi comme la boue des rues; et ils combattront, parce que le Seigneur est avec eux; et ceux qui montent sur des chevaux seront confondus.

6 “I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, for I have mercy on them. They will be as though I had not cast them off, for I am the LORD their God, and I will hear them.

Et je fortifierai la maison de Juda, et je sauverai la maison de Joseph; et je les convertirai, parce que j’aurai pitié d’eux; et ils seront comme ils ont été quand je ne les avais pas rejetés; car je suis le Seigneur leur Dieu, et je les exaucerai.

7 Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine. Yes, their children will see it and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in the LORD.

Et ils seront comme les braves d’Ephraïm, et leur cœur sera réjoui comme par le vin; et leurs fils verront, et ils se réjouiront, et leur cœur exultera dans le Seigneur.

8 I will signal for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them. They will increase as they were before.

Je sifflerai, et je les rassemblerai, parce que je les ai rachetés; et je les multiplierai comme auparavant ils se multipliaient.

9 I will sow them among the peoples. They will remember me in far countries. They will live with their children and will return.

Et je les répandrai parmi les peuples, et au loin ils se souviendront de moi; et ils vivront avec leurs fils, et ils reviendront.

10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria. I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there will not be room enough for them.

Et je les ramènerai de la terre d’Egypte, et je les rassemblerai de l’Assyrie, et je les conduirai dans la terre de Galaad et du Liban; et il ne se trouvera pas assez de place pour eux.

11 He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.

Et Israël passera par le détroit de la mer, et le Seigneur frappera les flots dans la mer, et toutes les profondeurs du fleuve seront confondues, et l’orgueil d’Assur sera humilié, et le sceptre d’Egypte sera écarté.

12 I will strengthen them in the LORD. They will walk up and down in his name,” says the LORD.

Je les fortifierai dans le Seigneur, et ils marcheront en son nom, dit le Seigneur.
