Revelation 20
1 I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the Abyss (Abyssos g12) and a great chain in his hand.
Je vis descendre du ciel un ange qui avait la clef de l'abîme et une grande chaîne dans sa main. (Abyssos g12)
2 He seized the dragon, the old serpent, who is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years,
Il saisit le dragon, le serpent ancien, qui est le diable et Satan, et qui séduit toute la terre habitée; il le lia pour mille ans,
3 and cast him into the Abyss (Abyssos g12), and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.
le jeta dans l'abîme, le ferma et le scella sur lui, afin qu'il ne séduise plus les nations jusqu'à ce que les mille ans soient accomplis. Après cela, il doit être libéré pour un court moment. (Abyssos g12)
4 I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and such as did not worship the beast nor his image, and did not receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Je vis des trônes, et ils s'assirent dessus, et le jugement leur fut donné. Je vis les âmes de ceux qui avaient été décapités pour le témoignage de Jésus et pour la parole de Dieu, et de ceux qui n'avaient pas adoré la bête ni son image, et qui n'avaient pas reçu la marque sur leur front et sur leur main. Ils vécurent et régnèrent avec le Christ pendant mille ans.
5 The rest of the dead did not live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Le reste des morts ne vivait pas avant que les mille ans ne soient écoulés. C'est la première résurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.
Béni et saint est celui qui a part à la première résurrection. Sur eux, la seconde mort n'a aucun pouvoir, mais ils seront sacrificateurs de Dieu et du Christ, et ils régneront avec lui pendant mille ans.
7 And after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison
Et après les mille ans, Satan sera libéré de sa prison
8 and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
et il sortira pour séduire les nations qui sont aux quatre coins de la terre, Gog et Magog, afin de les rassembler pour la guerre, dont le nombre est comme le sable de la mer.
9 They went up over the width of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God and devoured them.
Ils montèrent sur la largeur de la terre et entourèrent le camp des saints et la ville bien-aimée. Le feu descendit du ciel d'auprès de Dieu et les dévora.
11 I saw a great white throne and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them.
Je vis un grand trône blanc et celui qui était assis dessus, devant la face duquel la terre et le ciel s'enfuirent. Il n'y avait pas de place pour eux.
12 I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Je vis les morts, les grands et les petits, debout devant le trône, et ils ouvrirent des livres. Un autre livre fut ouvert, qui est le livre de vie. Et les morts furent jugés d'après ce qui était écrit dans les livres, selon leurs œuvres.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades (Hadēs g86) gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.
La mer rendit les morts qui étaient en elle. La mort et le séjour des morts ont rendu les morts qui étaient en eux. Ils furent jugés, chacun selon ses œuvres. (Hadēs g86)
