Psalms 83

1 A song. A Psalm by Asaph. God, do not keep silent. Do not keep silent, and do not be still, God.

O! Dios, no tengas silencio, no calles, ni ceses, o! Dios.

2 For, behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted up their heads.

Porque he aquí que tus enemigos han bramado: y tus aborrecedores han alzado cabeza.

3 They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones.

Sobre tu pueblo han consultado astuta y secretamente: y han entrado en consejo contra tus escondidos.

4 “Come,” they say, “let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

Han dicho: Veníd, y cortémoslos de ser nación: y no haya más memoria del nombre de Israel.

5 For they have conspired together with one mind. They form an alliance against you.

Por esto han conspirado de corazón a una: contra ti han hecho liga.

6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;

Las tiendas de los Idumeos, y de los Ismaelitas: Moab, y los Agarenos;

7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

Gebal, y Ammón, y Amalec: Palestina, con los habitadores de Tiro.

8 Assyria also is joined with them. They have helped the children of Lot. (Selah)

También el Assur se ha juntado con ellos: son por brazo a los hijos de Lot. (Selah)

9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;

Házles como a Madián, como a Sisara: como a Jabín en el arroyo de Cisón:

10 who perished at Endor, who became as dung for the earth.

Que perecieron en En-dor: fueron hechos muladar de la tierra.

11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

Pon a ellos y a sus capitanes como a Oreb, y como a Zeb, y como a Zebee, y como a Salmana: a todos sus príncipes,

12 who said, “Let’s take possession of God’s pasture lands.”

Que han dicho: Heredemos para nosotros las moradas de Dios.

13 My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind.

Dios mío, pónlos como a torbellino: como a hojarascas delante del viento:

14 As the fire that burns the forest, as the flame that sets the mountains on fire,

Como fuego que quema el monte: como llama que abrasa las breñas;

15 so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm.

Así persíguelos con tu tempestad; y con tu torbellino asómbralos.

16 Fill their faces with confusion, that they may seek your name, LORD.

Hinche sus rostros de vergüenza; y busquen tu nombre, o! Jehová.

17 Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish;

Sean afrentados, y turbados para siempre; y sean deshonrados, y perezcan.

18 that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.

Y conozcan que tu nombre es Jehová; tú solo Altísimo sobre toda la tierra.
