< Psalms 8 >

1 For the Chief Musician; on an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by David. LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens!
2 From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
Boak’am-bava’ o ajaja-menao naho o ajaja minonoo ty nampijadoña’o haozarañe, ty amo malaiñe Azoo, hampiànjiña’o o rafelahio naho o mpamale-fateo.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained,
Ie haraharaeko o likera’oo, ty fitoloñan-drambom-pità’o, i volañey naho o vasiañe najado’oo.
4 what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?
Ino ondatio, te itsakorea’o? Naho ty ana-ondaty, te haoñe’o?
5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor.
Fe nanoe’o ambanevane’ o anjelio, naho sinabàka’o engeñe naho asiñe.
6 You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:
Nampifehè’o aze o tolom-pità’oo; kila narongo’o ambanem-pandia’e ao,
7 All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field,
Ze hene añondry naho añombe; eka, o biby an-kivokeo:
8 the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
O voron-dikerañeo, o fian-driakeo, ze misoroke o lalan-driakeo.
9 LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Ry Iehovà, Talè’ay, Oasirity! ty volonahen-Tahina’o manitsike ty tane toy.
