Psalms 46

1 For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Deus é o nosso refugio e fortaleza, soccorro bem presente na angustia.

2 Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

Pelo que não temeremos, ainda que a terra se mude, e ainda que os montes se transportem para o meio dos mares.

3 though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. (Selah)

Ainda que as aguas rujam e se perturbem, ainda que os montes se abalem pela sua braveza (Selah)

4 There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High.

Ha um rio cujas correntes alegram a cidade de Deus, o sanctuario das moradas do Altissimo.

5 God is within her. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.

Deus está no meio d'ella, não se abalará; Deus a ajudará ao romper da manhã.

6 The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice and the earth melted.

As nações se embraveceram; os reinos se moveram; elle levantou a sua voz e a terra se derreteu.

7 The LORD of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)

O Senhor dos Exercitos está comnosco: o Deus de Jacob é o nosso refugio (Selah)

8 Come, see the LORD’s works, what desolations he has made in the earth.

Vinde, contemplae as obras de Senhor; que desolações tem feito na terra!

9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.

Elle faz cessar as guerras até ao fim da terra: quebra o arco e corta a lança; queima os carros no fogo.

10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

Aquietae-vos, e sabei que eu sou Deus; serei exaltado entre as nações; serei exaltado sobre a terra.

11 The LORD of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)
