< Psalms 19 >

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. ‌ʻOku fakahā ʻe he ngaahi langi ʻae nāunau ʻoe ʻOtua; pea ʻoku fakahā ʻe he ʻatā ʻae ngāue ʻa hono nima.
2 Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night they display knowledge.
‌ʻOku lea ʻe he ʻaho ki he ʻaho, pea fakahā ʻe he pō ki he pō ʻae ʻilo.
3 There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.
‌ʻOku ʻikai ha leʻo pe ha lea, ʻoku taʻeongoʻi honau leʻo.
4 Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
Kuo hoko ʻenau fua ki he fonua kotoa pē, mo ʻenau ngaahi lea ki he ngataʻanga ʻo māmani. Kuo fokotuʻu ʻe ia ʻi ai ʻae nofoʻanga ki he laʻā,
5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
‌ʻAia ʻoku hangē ko e tangata taʻane ʻoku haʻu mei hono potu teuteu, pea fiefia ʻo hangē ko e tangata mālohi ke fakapuepue.
6 His going out is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends. There is nothing hidden from its heat.
Ko hono hopoʻanga ʻoku mei he ngataʻanga ʻoe langi, mo hono ʻaluʻanga ki hono ngaahi ngataʻanga: pea ʻoku ʻikai ha meʻa ʻe taha ʻe lilo ʻi hono mafana.
7 The LORD’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. The LORD’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.
Ko e fono ʻa Sihova ʻoku haohaoa, ʻoku ne liliu ʻae laumālie: ko e fakaʻilo ʻa Sihova ʻoku tuʻumaʻu, ʻoku ne fakapotoʻi ʻae vale.
8 The LORD’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. The LORD’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Ko e ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni ʻa Sihova ʻoku totonu, ʻoku nau fakafiefiaʻi ʻae loto: ko e fekau ʻa Sihova ʻoku māʻoniʻoni, ʻoku ne fakamaama ki he mata.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever. The LORD’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.
Ko e manavahē kia Sihova ʻoku maʻa, pea tolonga taʻengata: ko e ngaahi fakamaau ʻa Sihova ʻoku moʻoni mo māʻoniʻoni kotoa pē.
10 They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
‌ʻOku totonu ke lahi hake ʻae holi ki ai ʻi he holi ki he koula, ʻio, ʻi he koula lahi mo lelei: ʻoku huʻamelie lahi hake ia ʻi he honi mo hono toʻi ʻae honi.
11 Moreover your servant is warned by them. In keeping them there is great reward.
Pea kuo valokia ai foki ʻa ho tamaioʻeiki: pea ʻi he tauhi ki ai ʻoku lahi hono totongi.
12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.
Ko hai te ne faʻa ʻilo ʻene ngaahi hē? Ke ke fakamaʻa au mei he ngaahi angahala fufū.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
Pea ke taʻofi hoʻo tamaioʻeiki foki mei he ngaahi angahala ʻoku fai ʻi he ʻilo; ke ʻoua naʻa nau puleʻi au: ko ia te u angatonu ai, pea te u māʻoniʻoni mei he angahala lahi.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, LORD, my rock, and my redeemer.
‌ʻE Sihova, ko hoku mālohi, mo hoku huhuʻi, tuku ke lelei ʻi ho ʻao, ʻae ngaahi lea ʻa hoku ngutu, mo e fakakaukau ʻa hoku loto.
