Psalms 147
1 Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.
| خداوند را سپاس باد! چه نیکوست که خدای خود را با سرود بپرستیم؛ چه لذتبخش است که او را بستاییم! |
2 The LORD builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
| خداوند اورشلیم را دوباره بنا می‌کند و پراکندگان اسرائیل را جمع می‌نماید. |
3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
| او دلشکستگان را شفا می‌بخشد و زخمهای ایشان را می‌بندد. |
4 He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.
| خداوند حساب ستارگان را دارد و نام هر یک از آنها را می‌داند. |
5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
| خداوند ما بزرگ و تواناست و حکمت او بی‌انتهاست. |
6 The LORD upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
| او فروتنان را سرافراز می‌کند، اما روی شریران را به خاک می‌مالد. |
7 Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,
| خداوند را با سرودهای شکرگزاری بپرستید! او را با نغمهٔ بربط ستایش کنید! |
8 who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.
| او ابرها را بر آسمان می‌گستراند و باران را بر زمین می‌باراند و سبزه را بر کوهها می‌رویاند، |
9 He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.
| به حیوانات غذا می‌دهد و روزی جوجه‌کلاغها را می‌رساند. |
10 He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
| خداوند به نیروی اسب رغبت ندارد و قدرت انسان او را خشنود نمی‌سازد؛ |
11 The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.
| خشنودی او از کسانی است که او را گرامی می‌دارند و به محبت وی امید بسته‌اند. |
12 Praise the LORD, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion!
| ای اورشلیم، خداوند را ستایش کن! ای صهیون، خدای خود را سپاس بگو! |
13 For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.
| زیرا او دروازه‌هایت را محکم به روی دشمن بسته و فرزندانت را که در درون هستند برکت داده است. |
14 He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
| او مرزهایت را در صلح و آرامش نگه می‌دارد و تو را با بهترین نان گندم سیر می‌نماید. |
15 He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
| خداوند به زمین دستور می‌دهد و هر چه می‌فرماید به‌سرعت عملی می‌شود. |
16 He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.
| او برف را مانند لحاف بر سطح زمین می‌گستراند و شبنم را همچون خاکستر همه جا پخش می‌کند. |
17 He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?
| خداوند دانه‌های تگرگ را مانند سنگریزه فرو می‌ریزد و کیست که تاب تحمل سرمای آن را داشته باشد؟ |
18 He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
| سپس دستور می‌دهد و یخها آب می‌شوند؛ باد می‌فرستد و آبها جاری می‌شوند. |
19 He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.
| او کلام خود را به یعقوب بیان کرده است، و فرایض و قوانینش را به اسرائیل. |
20 He has not done this for just any nation. They do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD!
| این کار را تنها در مورد اسرائیل انجام داده است و نه قوم دیگری؛ لذا قومهای دیگر با شریعت او آشنا نیستند. خداوند را سپاس باد! |
