Psalms 146

1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, my soul.

Louez Yah! Loue Yahvé, mon âme.

2 While I live, I will praise the LORD. I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.

Tant que je vivrai, je louerai Yahvé. Je chanterai les louanges de mon Dieu aussi longtemps que j'existerai.

3 Do not put your trust in princes, in a son of man in whom there is no help.

Ne mettez pas votre confiance dans les princes, dans un fils d'homme en qui il n'y a pas de secours.

4 His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.

Son esprit s'en va, et il retourne à la terre. En ce jour même, ses pensées périssent.

5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD, his God,

Heureux celui qui a pour secours le Dieu de Jacob! dont l'espoir est en Yahvé, son Dieu,

6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;

qui a fait le ciel et la terre, la mer, et tout ce qui s'y trouve; qui garde la vérité pour toujours;

7 who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners.

qui exécute la justice pour les opprimés; qui donne de la nourriture aux affamés. Yahvé libère les prisonniers.

8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD raises up those who are bowed down. The LORD loves the righteous.

Yahvé ouvre les yeux des aveugles. Yahvé relève ceux qui sont courbés. Yahvé aime les justes.

9 The LORD preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but he turns the way of the wicked upside down.

Yahvé préserve les étrangers. Il soutient l'orphelin et la veuve, mais il renverse la voie des méchants.

10 The LORD will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!

Yahvé régnera à jamais; ton Dieu, Sion, de génération en génération. Louez Yah!
