Psalms 131

1 A Song of Ascents. By David. LORD, my heart is not arrogant, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.

Canto dei pellegrinaggi. Di Davide. O Eterno, il mio cuore non è gonfio li superbia, e i miei occhi non sono alteri; non attendo a cose troppo grandi e troppo alte per me.

2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

In verità ho calmata e quietata l’anima mia, com’è quieto il bimbo divezzato sul seno di sua madre. Quale è il bimbo divezzato, tale è in me l’anima mia.

3 Israel, hope in the LORD, from this time forward and forever more.

O Israele, spera nell’Eterno, da ora in perpetuo.
