Psalms 126

1 A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream.

[Ein Stufenlied.] Als Jehova die Gefangenen [Eig. die Heimkehrenden] Zions zurückführte, waren wir wie Träumende.

2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”

Da ward unser Mund voll Lachens, und unsere Zunge voll Jubels; da sagte man unter den Nationen: Jehova hat Großes an ihnen [Eig. diesen] getan!

3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.

Jehova hat Großes an uns getan: wir waren fröhlich!

4 Restore our fortunes again, LORD, like the streams in the Negev.

Führe unsere Gefangenen zurück, Jehova, gleich Bächen im Mittagslande!

5 Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.

Die mit Tränen säen, werden mit Jubel ernten.

6 He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.

Er geht weinend hin, tragend den Samen zum Säen; er kommt heim mit Jubel, tragend seine Garben.
