Psalms 121

1 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?

都もうでの歌 わたしは山にむかって目をあげる。わが助けは、どこから来るであろうか。

2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

わが助けは、天と地を造られた主から来る。

3 He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.

主はあなたの足の動かされるのをゆるされない。あなたを守る者はまどろむことがない。

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

見よ、イスラエルを守る者はまどろむこともなく、眠ることもない。

5 The LORD is your keeper. The LORD is your shade on your right hand.

主はあなたを守る者、主はあなたの右の手をおおう陰である。

6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

昼は太陽があなたを撃つことなく、夜は月があなたを撃つことはない。

7 The LORD will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.

主はあなたを守って、すべての災を免れさせ、またあなたの命を守られる。

8 The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.

主は今からとこしえに至るまで、あなたの出ると入るとを守られるであろう。
