< Psalms 109 >

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. God of my praise, do not remain silent,
Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah. David ih Saam laa. Ka pakoeh ih, Aw Sithaw, angam duem hmah;
2 for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
kasae kaminawk hoi aling thaih kaminawk mah kai han pakha ang angh o thuih, nihcae loe kai khaeah amsawnlok thuih o.
3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
Hnukmahaih loknawk hoiah kai ang takui o; takung om ai ah kai ang tuk o.
4 In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
Kai ih amlunghaih to misa ah a poek o lat; toe kai loe lawkthuihaih hoiah ni ka oh.
5 They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
Nihcae mah kahoih hmuen to kasae hoiah ang pathok o moe, kai ih amlunghaih to a hnukma o.
6 Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
To baktih kami nuiah kasae kami to suem pae ah, Setan loe a bantang bangah angdoe pae nasoe.
7 When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
Anih loe lokcaek naah sung nasoe loe, lawk a thuihaih to zaehaih ah angcoeng pae nasoe.
8 Let his days be few. Let another take his office.
A hinghaih aninawk tamsi pae nasoe loe, minawk kalah mah anih angdoethaih ahmuen to la pae ving nasoe.
9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Anih ih caanawk loe ampa tawn ai ah om o nasoe loe, a zu loe lamhmai ah om nasoe.
10 Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.
A caanawk loe ahmuen kruekah amhet hoiah ban patueng o nasoe; kamro a oh o haih im hoiah tacawt o nasoe loe, caaknaek to pakrong o nasoe.
11 Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
A tawnh ih hmuennawk to hmuenmae coi han paek kami mah la pae boih nasoe; a toksakhaih atho doeh minawk kalah mah lomh pae ving nasoe.
12 Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.
Mi mah doeh anih nuiah tahmenhaih tawn hmah nasoe; ampa tawn ai nawktanawk doeh tahmen o hmah nasoe.
13 Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Anih ih caanawk loe anghma angtaa o nasoe; angzo han koi adungah doeh nihcae ih ahmin to phrae o boih nasoe.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Do not let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
Ampanawk sakpazaehaih loe Angraeng hmaa ah amtueng poe nasoe; amno zaehaih to anghma pae hmah nasoe.
15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;
Nihcae panoekhaih long hoiah tahmat pae ving hanah, nihcae zaehaih loe Angraeng hmaa ah om poe nasoe.
16 because he did not remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.
Anih loe palungnathaih amtuengsak hanah poek ai, amtang kaminawk to pacaekthlaek moe, palungboeng kaminawk doeh a hum.
17 Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He did not delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
Anih loe tangoenghaih to palung pongah, tangoenghaih to anih nuiah krah nasoe; tahamhoihaih koeh ai pongah, tahamhoihaih loe anih khae hoi kangthla ah om nasoe.
18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.
Anih mah loksae to kahni baktiah angkhuk pongah, a zok thungah tui baktih, ahuhnawk thungah situi baktiah akun pae nasoe.
19 Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.
Angmah angkhuk ih kahni baktih, kaengah angzaeng poe ih kazii baktiah, a nuiah om pae nasoe.
20 This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul.
Kai kasaethui kaminawk khaeah, Angraeng mah hae hae tangqum ah paek nasoe.
21 But deal with me, GOD the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;
Toe, Aw Angraeng Sithaw, na hmin hoiah na sah paeh; na palungnathaih loe hoih pongah, na pahlong ah.
22 for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.
Kai loe kam tang, ka tak thung ih palung loe ahma caak boeh.
23 I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.
Kai loe duembang ih tahlip baktiah ka zaem tathuk boeh; pakhuh baktiah ahnuk ahma kang thuih.
24 My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.
Buhzah pongah ka khokkhunawk hae cak ai boeh; ka taksa doeh zaek keng boeh.
25 I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
Minawk kasaethuih han ih ni ka oh boeh moe, nihcae mah kai ang khet o naah lu ang haek o thuih.
26 Help me, LORD, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;
Aw Angraeng ka Sithaw, na bom ah; na palungnathaih hoiah na pahlong ah,
27 that they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it.
hae loe na ban ni; Angraeng, nang mah ni na sak, tiah panoek o nasoe.
28 They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.
Nihcae loe tangoeng o, toe nang loe tahamhoihaih paek ah; nihcae angthawk o naah, azat o nasoe; toe na tamna loe anghoe nasoe.
29 Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
Ka misanawk loe azathaih to kahni baktiah angkhuk o nasoe, kahni hoi khuk ih baktiah, mikhmai sethaih to angkhuk o nasoe.
30 I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
Ka pakha hoiah Angraeng to ka pakoeh parai boeh; ue, pop parai salakah anih to ka pakoeh han.
31 For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
Zaehaih net kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah amtang kaminawk ih hinghaih pahlong hanah, anih loe amtang kaminawk ih bantang bangah angdoet.
