Proverbs 7
1 My son, keep my words. Lay up my commandments within you.
Mein Kind, behalte meine Rede und verbirg meine Gebote bei dir!
2 Keep my commandments and live! Guard my teaching as the apple of your eye.
Behalte meine Gebote, so wirst du leben, und mein Gesetz wie deinen Augapfel.
3 Bind them on your fingers. Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Binde sie an deine Finger, schreibe sie auf die Tafel deines Herzens!
4 Tell wisdom, “You are my sister.” Call understanding your relative,
Sprich zur Weisheit: Du bist meine Schwester, und nenne die Klugheit deine Freundin,
5 that they may keep you from the strange woman, from the foreigner who flatters with her words.
daß du behütet werdest vor dem fremden Weibe, vor einer andern, die glatte Worte gibt.
6 For at the window of my house, I looked out through my lattice.
Denn am Fenster meines Hauses guckte ich durchs Gitter und sah unter den Albernen
7 I saw among the simple ones. I discerned among the youths a young man void of understanding,
und ward gewahr unter den Kindern eines närrischen Jünglings,
8 passing through the street near her corner, he went the way to her house,
der ging auf der Gasse an einer Ecke und trat daher auf dem Wege an ihrem Hause,
9 in the twilight, in the evening of the day, in the middle of the night and in the darkness.
in der Dämmerung, am Abend des Tages, da es Nacht ward und dunkel war.
10 Behold, there a woman met him with the attire of a prostitute, and with crafty intent.
Und siehe, da begegnete ihm ein Weib im Hurenschmuck, listig,
11 She is loud and defiant. Her feet do not stay in her house.
wild und unbändig, daß ihre Füße in ihrem Hause nicht bleiben können.
12 Now she is in the streets, now in the squares, and lurking at every corner.
Jetzt ist sie draußen, jetzt auf der Gasse und lauert an allen Ecken.
13 So she caught him, and kissed him. With an impudent face she said to him:
Und erwischte ihn und küssete ihn unverschämt und sprach zu ihm:
14 “Sacrifices of peace offerings are with me. Today I have paid my vows.
Ich habe Dankopfer für mich heute bezahlet, für meine Gelübde.
15 Therefore I came out to meet you, to diligently seek your face, and I have found you.
Darum bin ich herausgegangen, dir zu begegnen, dein Angesicht frühe zu suchen, und habe dich funden.
16 I have spread my couch with carpets of tapestry, with striped cloths of the yarn of Egypt.
Ich habe mein Bett schön geschmückt mit bunten Teppichen aus Ägypten.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
Ich habe mein Lager mit Myrrhen, Aloes und Zinnamen besprengt.
18 Come, let’s take our fill of loving until the morning. Let’s solace ourselves with loving.
Komm, laß uns genug buhlen bis an den Morgen und laß uns der Liebe pflegen;
19 For my husband is not at home. He has gone on a long journey.
denn der Mann ist nicht daheim, er ist einen fernen Weg gezogen;
20 He has taken a bag of money with him. He will come home at the full moon.”
er hat den Geldsack mit sich genommen; er wird erst aufs Fest wieder heimkommen.
21 With persuasive words, she led him astray. With the flattering of her lips, she seduced him.
Sie überredete ihn mit vielen Worten und gewann ihn ein mit ihrem glatten Munde.
22 He followed her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, as a fool stepping into a noose.
Er folgte ihr bald nach; wie ein Ochs zur Fleischbank geführt wird, und wie zur Fessel, da man die Narren züchtiget,
23 Until an arrow strikes through his liver, as a bird hurries to the snare, and does not know that it will cost his life.
bis sie ihm mit dem Pfeil die Leber spaltete, wie ein Vogel zum Strick eilet und weiß nicht, daß ihm das Leben gilt.
24 Now therefore, sons, listen to me. Pay attention to the words of my mouth.
So gehorchet mir nun, meine Kinder, und merket auf die Rede meines Mundes.
25 Do not let your heart turn to her ways. Do not go astray in her paths,
Laß dein Herz nicht weichen auf ihren Weg und laß dich nicht verführen auf ihre Bahn!
26 for she has thrown down many wounded. Yes, all her slain are a mighty army.
Denn sie hat viele verwundet und gefället, und sind allerlei Mächtige von ihr erwürget.
