Proverbs 6
1 My son, if you have become collateral for your neighbor, if you have struck your hands in pledge for a stranger,
ಮಗನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪರನಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಒಡ್ಡಿದ್ದರೆ,
2 you are trapped by the words of your mouth; you are ensnared with the words of your mouth.
ನೀನು ನುಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ಮಾತುಗಳೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ.
3 Do this now, my son, and deliver yourself, since you have come into the hand of your neighbor. Go, humble yourself. Press your plea with your neighbor.
ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡದರಿಂದ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು: ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಡ.
4 Give no sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids.
ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ರೆಪ್ಪೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತೂಕಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಬೇಡ.
5 Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler.
ಬೇಟೆಗಾರನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಜಿಂಕೆಯೂ, ಬಲೆ ಬೀಸುವವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೋ.
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise;
ಸೋಮಾರಿಯೇ, ನೀನು ಇರುವೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅದರ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನಾಗು.
7 which having no chief, overseer, or ruler,
ನಾಯಕನಾಗಲೀ, ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನಾಗಲೀ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲೀ ಇರುವೆಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೂ,
8 provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ತನ್ನ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.
9 How long will you sleep, sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep?
ಸೋಮಾರಿಯೇ, ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತು ನೀನು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು? ನಿನ್ನ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾವಾಗ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವೆ?
10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep—
ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನಿದ್ರೆ, ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತೂಕಡಿಕೆ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೈ ಮುದುರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆ ಎನ್ನುವೆಯಾ?
11 so your poverty will come as a robber, and your scarcity as an armed man.
ಹೀಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಬಡತನವು ಕಳ್ಳನಂತೆಯೂ ಕೊರತೆಯು ಶಸ್ತ್ರಧಾರಿಯಂತೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವುವು.
12 A worthless person, a man of iniquity, is he who walks with a perverse mouth,
ತೊಂದರೆಕೊಡುವವನೂ ಕೆಡುಕನೂ ಆಗಿರುವವನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಕುಟಿಲ ಮಾತೇ ಬರುವುದು.
13 who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet, who motions with his fingers,
ಅವನು ಕಣ್ಣು ಮಿಟುಕಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕಾಲು ಕೆರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಬೆರಳು ಸನ್ನೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ,
14 in whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who always sows discord.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸಕರ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಅವನು ಜಗಳವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
15 Therefore his calamity will come suddenly. He will be broken suddenly, and that without remedy.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿಪತ್ತು ಬೇಗ ಬರುವುದು; ಯಾವ ಪರಿಹಾರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು.
16 There are six things which the LORD hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him:
ಈ ಆರು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಹೌದು, ಏಳು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ, ಅವು ಯಾವವೆಂದರೆ:
17 arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,
ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ, ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವ ನಾಲಿಗೆ, ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವ ಕೈಗಳು,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief,
ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹೃದಯ, ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಲು ತ್ವರೆಪಡುವ ಕಾಲುಗಳು,
19 a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.
ಅಸತ್ಯವನ್ನಾಡುವ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗಳ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ.
20 My son, keep your father’s commandment, and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
ಮಗನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳು, ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಬೇಡ.
21 Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck.
ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧಿಸಿಕೋ. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಧರಿಸಿಕೋ.
22 When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you.
ನೀನು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ಅವು ನಿನಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ನೀನು ಮಲಗುವಾಗ ಅವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುತ್ತವೆ. ನೀನು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
ಆಜ್ಞೆಯೇ ದೀಪವಾಗಿದೆ, ಬೋಧನೆಯೇ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿದೆ; ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ತಿದ್ದುವಿಕೆಗಳು ಜೀವ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿವೆ.
24 to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife’s tongue.
ಅವು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಹೆಂಗಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ವಂಚಕ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕಾಪಾಡಬಲ್ಲವು.
25 Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, neither let her captivate you with her eyelids.
ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯ ಅವಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೋಹಿಸದಿರಲಿ. ಅವಳ ಕಣ್ಣುರೆಪ್ಪೆಗಳಿಂದ ಅವಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲಿ.
26 For a prostitute reduces you to a piece of bread. The adulteress hunts for your precious life.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಊಟದಿಂದ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣಿ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಜೀವವನ್ನೇ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವಳು.
27 Can a man scoop fire into his lap, and his clothes not be burned?
ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಮಡಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಅವನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು ಸುಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
28 Or can one walk on hot coals, and his feet not be scorched?
ಒಬ್ಬನು ಧಗಧಗಿಸುವ ಕೆಂಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದರೆ, ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳು ಸುಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?
29 So is he who goes in to his neighbor’s wife. Whoever touches her will not be unpunished.
ಪರನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡುವವನ ಗತಿಯು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇರುವದು. ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಯಾವನೂ ದಂಡನೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳನು.
30 Men do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry,
ಹಸಿದಾಗ ಕಳ್ಳನು ತನ್ನ ಹಸಿವೆಯನ್ನು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಕಳವು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಜನರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೀಯಾಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
31 but if he is found, he shall restore seven times. He shall give all the wealth of his house.
ಅವನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಏಳರಷ್ಟು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು. ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಹ ಅವನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.
32 He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.
ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
33 He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away.
ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗಾಯವೂ ಅವಮಾನವೂ ಆಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವನ ನಿಂದೆಯು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅಳಿಸಲಾಗದು.
34 For jealousy arouses the fury of the husband. He will not spare in the day of vengeance.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮತ್ಸರವು ಪತಿಯ ಕ್ರೋಧವನ್ನು ಉದ್ರೇಕಿಸುವುದು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಕರುಣೆ ತೋರನು.
35 He will not regard any ransom, neither will he rest content, though you give many gifts.
ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಎಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಲಂಚ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವನು.
